The hotel is definitely not modern.. but if you're looking for a beautiful authentic, vintage stay- this is it! They offer a multitude of things you don't see everywhere, the most beautiful and personal favourite of mine being the fresh roses brought to each room daily! I have a bouquet sitting by the window as I write this. The hotel is clean and up-kept, the staff are incredible. I highly recommend the restaurant food, especially the Steak de Frites!

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The lobby was so nice and the service was exceptional. We used the shuttle service to het around to downtown. Very helpful for us

Fantastic weekend getaway. Relaxing, romantic, beautiful and comfortable. We originally planned one night and ended up staying another night because we loved it. It was quiet, and peaceful. The pool area was clean and relaxing. Pool temp was comfortable, hot tub was hot and clean. The sauna was so nice!! We ate at The lounge for dinner and breakfast buffet at Tiara. Both were very good. I will recommend this place to family and friends. We will definitely return.

It is located just a few minutes walking distance away from the towns center. Perfect for a quieter inn. Remember this isn't a 5 star resort. It is a vintage property. I think the property is overall lovely, especially the library and well kept grounds. We had the best room in the hotel which is the royal suite in the 3rd floor. I suppose for the price/night you would think a slightly elevated experience plus amenities in terms of service. Overall our suite was quiet at night with the exception of a air conditioning unit located right outside of our room. The four post bed is grand, but I think the squeaks could be looked into because I woke with each turn.

Picked this historic hotel off a random choice and was very pleased with our decision. The rooms are pretty average but the lobbies and scenery are amazing. The staff is extremely kind and accommodating. Hot tub and sauna were an added bonus!

Lovely historical hotel on the river. The rooms are a nice size, comfortable beds and fluffy pillows. Nice deep tub. Very clean, quiet, comfortable. Walking distance of downtown area for shopping/drinking/eating. Lovely decorations up for Christmas. Had breakfast at Tiara - the buffet looked ok- but we went with eggs Benedict. Service was great. Very friendly. My eggs were over cooked and then potatoes were not crispy enough- I wouldn't eat there again. Or perhaps would try another meal. Everyone was friendly- Kevin in the lobby was especially helpful and kind and deserves a shout out.

First timer at this vintage inn property! Nice hotel, rooms with decent views of the water abound here. The facilities aren't anywhere near as opulent as prince of wales or near as relaxing as pillar and post, but certainly nice here. Staff is always friendly and helpful, love the shuttle service! Great location! Lackluster pool area compared to other properties, no spa either, but you can shuttle to other properties that have that. I would stay again!

Requested early check in but unfortunately they were not able to accommodate. The lobby is cozy and fits the theme of the hotel. The grounds are well maintained and very bright and welcoming. We checked in to our room and found hairs on the bed sheets and pillows. When we called the front desk to inform them about the hairs they immediately upgraded us to a suite for free. The suite was mostly clean and the bed was comfy. Free on-site parking and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. If you get the right room, you'll have a view of the water. Friendly staff and overall good presentation.

Tip: If you like swimming, bring your swimwear as this property has an indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub (closed for renos during my visit). I came here through a Travelzoo deal, so it was a better value. However, having been to Langdon Hall last year, I couldn't help but compare the two properties. Some renovations have been done to my room such as: bathrooms, carpeting, & repainting. Room had a cozy feel to it. Window in the room was draughty (needs to be replaced) and kept whistling/rattling throughout the night. To be fair, it was particularly windy out. Heating unit, right underneath the window, was also very, very loud. It sounded as though it was on its last legs and I had to turn it off in the wee hours of the morning. It would intermittently turn on and disturbed our sleep. The Nespresso machine in the room was a nice touch, but it was somewhat pointless since there was only coffee whitener in the room. Hot tub was under renovations, so we weren't able to use it. Otherwise, I found the service very good in particular the waitstaff during breakfast.

Decided to stay for a night here when we were on our way back from Toronto. I've picked Queen's Landing because of its good reviews and pictures of its beautiful ground. Pros: - The hotel itself is beautiful, very "old school glamour" with gorgeous Tiffany lamps and large boutique of roses scattered around the lobby. - The room itself was fairly large with a good sized sitting area and fire place. - The bed was super comfortable - The location is also very convenient, approximately 15 min walk to the central area of the town. Cons: - The swimming pool was under maintenance. The hotel offered the use of the pools at its two sister hotels, both were approximately 15 min walk, near the center of the town. It wasn't a huge deal, we didn't use the pools at the other hotels because we didn't want the hassle of walking through the town wet. I was annoyed that the hotel still charged its standard resort fee when its pool wasn't working. The fee wasn't much, but it would've been a nice gesture for them to waive it given the fact that one of its main amenities was out of commission. - The room itself did not have a mini-fridge, it would've been convenient as I had brought some fruits from nearby farmer's stand, and wanted to keep it cold. Also, would've liked to chill a bottle of white that I recently purchased from a winery. - The hallway had a funny smell that persisted throughout our stay there I think most of my "cons" were minor quibbles, but I do think the resort fee was an issue that moved the hotel from "great" to "good" in my book. I always appreciate the hotels that go out of their way to compensate their customers of the inconveniences they created. Overall, it was a good stay.

We had the luxury of staying here for a night. The hotel was exceptionally clean and had a old south beauty feel to it. when we were walking towards the entrance it just felt like we were at the Gone With The Wind plantation house ! Not your typical modern hotels we're used to in the city but still enchanting. The room was so comfortable & spacious! The king size bed was huge and I had to use the lil stairs to climb up .. felt like a kid again lol We dined at the Tiara and the food was absolutely amazing!!! I would love to come back just for the food :) It's been so long that I've forgotten what we'd ordered. Though I did take pics (escargots, halibut? hmm) ! The downside... there was no free wifi. The hallway leading to the elevator looked a bit scary. Think of the movie "The Shining". I was totally expecting Jack Nicholson to come after me w/ an axe or smth. So dark and erie.. It ddn't help the elevator made squeaky noises when it went up and down the floors....other than that I will always have fond memories here as my fiance proposed at Queen's Landing :) The staff were all very friendly as well.

We chose to book here because the name sounded exquisite and the accommodation came highly regarded. This was our first venture to Niagara-On-The-Lake and it was for our mini honeymoon. We made reservations a month or so in advance and we were looking forward to a relaxing and rejuvenating post wedding getaway. We booked a suite in the "back cottage" which we did not realize at the time was a completely separate building. We informed the hotel while booking that this was our honeymoon and reminded them upon arrival. The woman who checked us in was informative. We drove around to the back cottage where there were 4 private parking spots and walked up to the suite. The cottage was carpeted and the carpets had several noticeable stains on them but otherwise seemed clean. The room was quite large and had a fireplace, king bed, jacuzzi tub and TV. Unfortunately they said there was WiFi but it did not work throughout our stay. We threw down our bags and got ready to go out and explore. On our way out we noticed that the window by the bed had a large number of bugs around it and were horrified to realize that the bugs were all inside. We immediately called the front desk and they informed us that they would send housekeeping while we were out. When we returned the bugs had been removed and we were grateful but didn't necessarily sleep easy. The next morning upon waking we again realized that there were bugs inside again. This time there were only a few so we just handled them ourselves. When we came back to the hotel room again in the afternoon there were again more bugs. This time we called the front desk and just simply requested a room change as this was clearly an ongoing bug problem that would not be resolved during our short stay. The woman was very apologetic and was able to provide us with a different room in the main hotel. When we got the keys she informed us that several fees would be removed and that the manager would discuss this with us later. The room was smaller but clean and comfortable and we were happy to not have to worry about bugs. When we checked out the woman gave us the bill with none of the fees removed, we had to politely remind her of the issue to which she got her manager and the manager informed us that the small $15 fee would be removed and she would give us a small discount and seemed slightly annoyed at having to do it. To be honest I was horrified that a hotel that came so highly recommended and seemed so lovely on the outside was so oblivious and flippant about the problem. This was our honeymoon and it will now be partially remembered as us having to be concerned about bugs crawling into bed. Although the main building was lovely (I have included pictures of the beautiful space), the shuttle service to sister hotels was a nice perk and the majority of employees were kind, we will stay elsewhere for our next stay as we feel this issue was not properly handled.

After three wineries, my husband was definitely ready for some food. When you walk in, you definitely feel like you're entering an English pub! The bar, and place, ent of the bar was very traditional to pubs in the UK. Our server Lawerence definitely helped with his English accent! When asked where he was from, he said Bristol! He came to Canada after her sister relocated. He originally was a cook, but given his accent, they asked hi. To move to the front! Well done. He was a great server too! Very friendly! We decided to share the sausage rolls and shepherds pie. My husband had two Guinness! I'm not sure where he put it in top of the wine, but glad I was driving. The sausage rolls were very tasty. The mustard that came for dipping was the perfect accompaniment. The shepherd's pie had a dark Guinness gravy that was rich and flavorful. I enjoyed the side of peas and carrots too! Sharing these two was the perfect amount, however we wished we'd got the poutine! It looked amazing, it would've been too much food though. Guess we will need to return! PS: loved seeing the sign for Upper Canada Brewing company! In 1988, I visited them with my college partner as we did a college paper on microbrewers! At that time, they were one of a few. We also had visited Great Lakes brewing in CLE! The microbrewing industry exploded shortly there after! Was a great personal walk down memory lane for my college days!! While Upper Canada was sold, was just excellent to see an old sign!

I'm glad this was his first experience, as this is what he has future spas to compare to lol. Check-in was super easy and fast. We were guided to the change rooms. We came on a Thursday afternoon, so it wasn't too busy. I mostly had the change rooms to myself. Inside the lounge is dim, with soft music it's perfectly relaxing. The lounge offers a great selection of teas. Lemon ginger is my favourite, which they had. They also have espresso pods. Of course they have some spa water, which was super refreshing. The main thing that surprised me was the selection of snacks they had! I've never been to a spa where they had basically unlimited snacks in the lounge. They had granola, cookies, brownies, biscottis and more. My bf received a 30 min massage, which focused on one area and I had a 60 min massage. My masseuse was friendly and very knowledgeable. I would have appreciated a deeper pressure on my legs and arms but the duration on these areas, was so short (as requested) I barely thought to even let her know I'd would like her to go deeper. I did let her know in the beginning though, that I do like a firm and deep pressure. Overall, she was just ok. The experience was still relaxing and she did loosen my neck and shoulders, which is what I was there for mainly. I so so appreciate that she used a hot towel to remove the oil on my back and the back of my legs. I love when spas do this. But I wished she had also done this after she worked the front of my legs and arms. There was so much oil on these areas, it would have been nice to have something to wipe it off. I did end up using the shower, since the oil really bothered me. The showers are spacious and I like that there's an area inside the shower to keep your belongings. I love the fact that they use loccetaine products. The scent they use is so nice. They also provide mouth wash, q-tips, cotton pads, hair ties, combs, plastic bags, tampons and a hair dryer. Check the drawers for the hair ties, combs and tampons. I wish I had checked these earlier cuz I really needed a hair tie lol. Oh and they also provide robes, sandals and towels. A wonderful experience from start to end. I think it also helped that the spa wasn't too busy that day. I'm excited to come back and try more services. Maybe even the hydrotherapy!

Once we got in our room we threw on our swimsuits and grabbed our robes. We spend most of our time at the outdoor pool the first day. It was so amazing. I absolutely love the idea of going into warm water when it's cold outside. The contrast in temperatures is so fun. I've been in hot tubs in the winter but an entire heated swimming pool just brought out this child-like joy that I can't explain. I had way too much fun. Then we made our way down to the hot spring. That was my absolute favorite. You can book your time frames in advance as much as you want. There's a 15min limit to each visit which is kind of annoying but understandable. It makes it so everyone can get a chance to enjoy it without overcrowding. There were several couples that didn't follow the rules and just stayed there well beyond the time. They would be there when we got in and still there when we left. That kind of annoyed me that staff doesn't monitor the hot spring to prevent that from happening but it is what it is. We just stuck to the rules and booked so much that a few times we had the whole hot spring to ourselves. It was such a nice experience. It's super close to home for us and we will be back for sure. The first time, we wanted a room with a jacuzzi. It had one. It just didn't work. Not a huge deal, but we paid additional for a jacuzzi. The second time we booked a jacuzzi room, which we sort of got - much smaller room, and it was just a bathtub with jets. Then the leak started. So they moved us to a new room. We moved everything to another building, and just got settled when water started coming through from the room above. Finally they moved us to a companion hotel - at 11:00 at night, and while it was a nice room, the pilot light from the gas furnace was on, heating up an already too-hot room. So they moved us again to another room, but only for one of our two nights because it was booked for the next night, so in the morning we had to move again. And this time - with nothing else in town available, we got to the room, and discovered that there was no cold water. Both taps, in the sink and the shower, were attached to the hot water pipes - and the water was scalding, dangerously hot. So basically, nice looking place, very convenient, and the maintenance staff is not just incompetent, but dangerously, inconveniently, annoyingly so. Three times burned, not returning. Edit - I am going to slightly alter my review. Yes, there have been problems every time we have stayed. But all the problems were maintenance related. The staff did their best to resolve the issues. And, in addition, there is Zees, the attached restaurant. The chef is outstanding offering terrific meals every time, the wine list of Niagara wines is extensive, and the service has always been excellent.
