Recently stayed here for Canada Day in a traditional room with 2 queen beds. Primarily wanted to stay closer to Fort George National Historic Site due to the festivities. During Canada Day, Fort George has a BBQ (hamburgers and hotdogs), live music, canon performance and fireworks. This location is ideal if you want some freedom to rest / go elsewhere throughout the day. Only a 6 min walk or so from Fort George. Room: A bit dated but if you are just staying one night it's fine. I wasn't in the room much. However, traditional rooms face parking lot so I recommend asking for 3rd floor. It is a bit dark but more privacy on a higher floor. Also I think room could have been cleaner, there was a lot of dust collected by the windows. Service: Staff at hotel are quite nice and during Canada Day, they served sangria in the lobby and had some cute Canada Day sparklers, stickers, a small candy bar, etc. They also text you asking if you need anything and rate your experience with them. Amenities: On the Basement level, open 7:00am-10:30pm there is an indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and gym available. By the elevators they also provided a tea/coffee bar. I went right at 7am and no one was there, nice and quiet so you have it to yourself. Another service they have is a shuttle. You can request it to take you to fort york, into the town, and other areas but it's close to a lot of places so we never ended up using this service. Overall, not a bad stay and I wouldn't mind coming back if this location was near some activities I wanted to check out like Canada Day. If just coming for a regular stay/ anniversary/ celebration - I would lean towards like deluxe rooms and above. For instance, deluxe rooms face the marina with lots of sun but only has king beds. read more

The hotel is definitely not modern.. but if you're looking for a beautiful authentic, vintage stay- this is it! They offer a multitude of things you don't see everywhere, the most beautiful and personal favourite of mine being the fresh roses brought to each room daily! Fantastic weekend getaway. Relaxing, romantic, beautiful and comfortable. We originally planned one night and ended up staying another night because we loved it. It was quiet, and peaceful. The pool area was clean and relaxing. Pool temp was comfortable, hot tub was hot and clean. The sauna was so nice!! We ate at The lounge for dinner and breakfast buffet at Tiara. Both were very good. It is located just a few minutes walking distance away from the towns center. Perfect for a quieter inn. Remember this isn't a 5 star resort. It is a vintage property. I think the property is overall lovely, especially the library and well kept grounds. We had the best room in the hotel which is the royal suite in the 3rd floor. I suppose for the price/night you would think a slightly elevated experience plus amenities in terms of service. Overall our suite was quiet at night with the exception of a air conditioning unit located right outside of our room. The four post bed is grand, but I think the squeaks could be looked into because I woke with each turn. read more

Walking distance of downtown area for shopping/drinking/eating. Lovely decorations up for Christmas. Had breakfast at Tiara - the buffet looked ok- but we went with eggs Benedict. Service was great. Very friendly. My eggs were over cooked and then potatoes were not crispy enough- I wouldn't eat there again. Or perhaps would try another meal. First timer at this vintage inn property! Nice hotel, rooms with decent views of the water abound here. The facilities aren't anywhere near as opulent as prince of wales or near as relaxing as pillar and post, but certainly nice here. Staff is always friendly and helpful, love the shuttle service! Went here for a wedding and this was where the newlyweds were staying. I actually expected much more for the price. The hotel had this old style feel but I believe it is in much need for renovations. First, despite the modernization of accessing the room by cards, the doors would not shut properly. Other doors were the same as there is an alarm sounded when the door is not completely shut. Second, the gym and pool facilities appear to be dated with lots of condensation from the pool or outside. I only peaked at the indoor pool which was small and was not sure if there was an outdoor one. Rooms were average at best and it was great to have a shuttle van ready for us to join the wedding party at a nearby winery. Overall, I would not recommend staying for the price as there are lots of options nearby. read more

Requested early check in but unfortunately they were not able to accommodate. The lobby is cozy and fits the theme of the hotel. The grounds are well maintained and very bright and welcoming. We checked in to our room and found hairs on the bed sheets and pillows. When we called the front desk to inform them about the hairs they immediately upgraded us to a suite for free. The suite was mostly clean and the bed was comfy. Free on-site parking and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. If you get the right room, you'll have a view of the water. Tip: If you like swimming, bring your swimwear as this property has an indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub (closed for renos during my visit). I came here through a Travelzoo deal, so it was a better value. However, having been to Langdon Hall last year, I couldn't help but compare the two properties. Some renovations have been done to my room such as: bathrooms, carpeting, & repainting. Room had a cozy feel to it. Window in the room was draughty (needs to be replaced) and kept whistling/rattling throughout the night. To be fair, it was particularly windy out. Heating unit, right underneath the window, was also very, very loud. It sounded as though it was on its last legs and I had to turn it off in the wee hours of the morning. It would intermittently turn on and disturbed our sleep. The Nespresso machine in the room was a nice touch, but it was somewhat pointless since there was only coffee whitener in the room. Hot tub was under renovations, so we weren't able to use it. Otherwise, I found the service very good in particular the waitstaff during breakfast. read more

Decided to stay for a night here when we were on our way back from Toronto. I've picked Queen's Landing because of its good reviews and pictures of its beautiful ground. Pros: - The hotel itself is beautiful, very "old school glamour" with gorgeous Tiffany lamps and large boutique of roses scattered around the lobby. - The room itself was fairly large with a good sized sitting area and fire place. - The bed was super comfortable - The location is also very convenient, approximately 15 min walk to the central area of the town. Cons: - The swimming pool was under maintenance. The hotel offered the use of the pools at its two sister hotels, both were approximately 15 min walk, near the center of the town. It wasn't a huge deal, we didn't use the pools at the other hotels because we didn't want the hassle of walking through the town wet. I was annoyed that the hotel still charged its standard resort fee when its pool wasn't working. The fee wasn't much, but it would've been a nice gesture for them to waive it given the fact that one of its main amenities was out of commission. - The room itself did not have a mini-fridge, it would've been convenient as I had brought some fruits from nearby farmer's stand, and wanted to keep it cold. Also, would've liked to chill a bottle of white that I recently purchased from a winery. - The hallway had a funny smell that persisted throughout our stay there I think most of my "cons" were minor quibbles, but I do think the resort fee was an issue that moved the hotel from "great" to "good" in my book. I always appreciate the hotels that go out of their way to compensate their customers of the inconveniences they created. Overall, it was a good stay. read more

Was really looking forward to this stay in NOTL. I have stayed at other Vintage Inns with good or great results. This one had pretty equal pluses and minuses. However, not sure if we would return. Even with the end of summer deal, didn't really feel the value was there for the experience that was had. Here they are! The cable or satellite had horrible reception on some channels. The pillows were incredibly hard, seemed out of sync with the comfort of the bed. The A/C really not keep up in the hot weather. The bathroom was incredibly small. Strange when the rest of the room was sizable with the largest nightstands I have ever seen. The placement of the safe in the closet means that pants or dresses would not fall properly but instead would drape funny over the top of the safe and get wrinkled. And no, I don't want to iron on my vacation! :) They charge a $15 daily resort fee on top of the rate for WiFi, parking and other things (?). A little on the pricey side, but guess you are paying for location, location, location. Nice location in Niagara-On-The-Lake. A little out of the way which was good because it gets really busy with lots of tourists and people taking photos everywhere. The spacious room was fairly well appointed with a comfy king bed, and two nice chairs. There was a safe in the closet, plus a refrigerator for any wine you picked up in your touring. Lots of drawer space. Good pressure and selectable shower head in the bathroom. Ample parking right in front. On site restaurant. read more

We had the luxury of staying here for a night. The hotel was exceptionally clean and had a old south beauty feel to it. when we were walking towards the entrance it just felt like we were at the Gone With The Wind plantation house ! Not your typical modern hotels we're used to in the city but still enchanting. The room was so comfortable & spacious! The king size bed was huge and I had to use the lil stairs to climb up .. felt like a kid again lol We dined at the Tiara and the food was absolutely amazing!!! I would love to come back just for the food :) It's been so long that I've forgotten what we'd ordered. Though I did take pics (escargots, halibut? hmm) ! The downside... there was no free wifi. The hallway leading to the elevator looked a bit scary. Think of the movie "The Shining". I was totally expecting Jack Nicholson to come after me w/ an axe or smth. So dark and erie.. It ddn't help the elevator made squeaky noises when it went up and down the floors....other than that I will always have fond memories here as my fiance proposed at Queen's Landing :) The staff were all very friendly as well. read more

Service - 4/5. Friendly and professional front desk. Very informative when I was booking our Summer Lovin' package for Labour Day Weekend. Prices weren't too bad either. The staff over at Bacchus Lounge didn't seem to care too much and only did the bare minimum though (i.e. taking our orders and taking their sweet time doing so, bringing us food, etc.). Decor/accommodations - 3/5. A nice, 3-storey, Georgian-style mansion with accommodating rooms. We ended up staying in one of their King Suites (complete with fireplace) as it was one of the few rooms that were available. We found the room to be comfortable and clean. No worries over cleanliness here! The water here in Niagara is a different story. I detected this "old pipe" smell coming from it - I'm not sure if it is due to old plumbing, different filtration systems, or both. My hair ended up having this faint "old pipe" smell after washing it. The hotel itself wasn't super fancy and didn't have that wow factor for me. The hotel itself smelled "old", especially on the upper floors. We did like how the hotel overlooked the Marina Bay though so that was nice. The breakfast buffet that we had was good, especially the omelettes. Shoutout to the red-haired guy who put extra cheese in our omelettes - you've definitely helped make breakfast at Queen's Landing the best meal experience that we had so far at Niagara-on-the-Lake! They also had these little jams that you can take with you that were really delicious - loved the black currant jam! Facilities - 3/5. There were two restaurants, a library, some ballrooms, a gym, a sauna, a hot tub and a swimming pool. The restaurants themselves weren't that impressive - mostly generic, somewhat over-priced food. The drinks, however, were good (at Bacchus Lounge). The library was classically decorated and would make a good place for meetings/studying. Can't comment on it much as we didn't actually do anything in there. No comment on ballrooms, as we did not use them. Gym facilities had dated machines, which were interesting to use. We did appreciate the sauna and pool though! It was nice to get do a workout session and enjoy some pool and sauna over the long weekend. Resort package - 2/5 stars. The Summer Lovin' package for 2018 covered our king suite room and facilities, a complimentary bottle of wine, a breakfast buffet, two wine tastings, a tour and complimentary tastings at the Chocolate FX, and a voucher that covered a variety of promos and services at the NEOB Lavender Field (20% discount, a tour around the lavender field and how they make their products, complimentary sample of a second product when you make a purchase of a full sized product, tastings, etc.). The package was for two days, two people and came down to about $400. We weren't overly impressed with the package as a whole - the chocolate tour was underwhelming and THERE WAS NO MORE LAVENDER AT NEOB. They should not have offered us a voucher for a lavender field in September, since harvesting season for lavender finishes in August. We were disappointed going to the lavender field as there weren't any lavender, and the "VIP culinary tastings" ended up being free sample lavender shortbread with lavender water at the NEOB gift shop. Although we did appreciate the discounts and complimentary products, we were not happy about the lack of lavender. The Vintage Hotels needs to end their summer packages early on before harvesting season ends or change the lavender field tour to something else - like a dinner credit - to prevent disappointment. *** CONCLUSION: The Queen's Landing Hotel was a not bad place to stay at. The staff were friendly. Accommodations were comfortable. Hotel had history to it and its restaurants overlook the Marina. There's not much of a wow factor to it and facilities were basic, but it's good enough for a one or two night stay. The resort packages were okay - good value, considering what they cover. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here again, but it is worth considering if you are going to be in the area. read more

Been here a few times new and every time I am more than impressed. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. They give you a rose on your pillow every night. The service is very professional . The grounds are exceptionally well kept. There is however no continental breakfast or vending machine so plan accordingly. Luckily there is a lot of restaurants nearby in the village you could even walk to. The pool,hot tub and sauna area is very nice as well. Only problem was the jets in the hot tub do not work. All in all a great place to stay if you are trying to check out all of the local wineries! read more

We chose to book here because the name sounded exquisite and the accommodation came highly regarded. This was our first venture to Niagara-On-The-Lake and it was for our mini honeymoon. We made reservations a month or so in advance and we were looking forward to a relaxing and rejuvenating post wedding getaway. We booked a suite in the "back cottage" which we did not realize at the time was a completely separate building. We informed the hotel while booking that this was our honeymoon and reminded them upon arrival. The woman who checked us in was informative. We drove around to the back cottage where there were 4 private parking spots and walked up to the suite. The cottage was carpeted and the carpets had several noticeable stains on them but otherwise seemed clean. The room was quite large and had a fireplace, king bed, jacuzzi tub and TV. Unfortunately they said there was WiFi but it did not work throughout our stay. We threw down our bags and got ready to go out and explore. On our way out we noticed that the window by the bed had a large number of bugs around it and were horrified to realize that the bugs were all inside. We immediately called the front desk and they informed us that they would send housekeeping while we were out. When we returned the bugs had been removed and we were grateful but didn't necessarily sleep easy. The next morning upon waking we again realized that there were bugs inside again. This time there were only a few so we just handled them ourselves. When we came back to the hotel room again in the afternoon there were again more bugs. This time we called the front desk and just simply requested a room change as this was clearly an ongoing bug problem that would not be resolved during our short stay. The woman was very apologetic and was able to provide us with a different room in the main hotel. When we got the keys she informed us that several fees would be removed and that the manager would discuss this with us later. The room was smaller but clean and comfortable and we were happy to not have to worry about bugs. When we checked out the woman gave us the bill with none of the fees removed, we had to politely remind her of the issue to which she got her manager and the manager informed us that the small $15 fee would be removed and she would give us a small discount and seemed slightly annoyed at having to do it. To be honest I was horrified that a hotel that came so highly recommended and seemed so lovely on the outside was so oblivious and flippant about the problem. This was our honeymoon and it will now be partially remembered as us having to be concerned about bugs crawling into bed. Although the main building was lovely (I have included pictures of the beautiful space), the shuttle service to sister hotels was a nice perk and the majority of employees were kind, we will stay elsewhere for our next stay as we feel this issue was not properly handled. read more

A true gem of NOTL. We requested a room with outside access which was perfect for easy access to the pool. Service overall was good - pool service was better. We didn't have any meals at the hotel except breakfast which was uneventful. So many cute cafes in town which is walking distance. I recommend exploring ! read more

As I type this, it is my first night's stay at Queen's Landing. When I first arrived I thought, "Hey! This seems nice!" So why the sudden 1 star review? $10 per day for internet. COME ON! REALLY?! $10 PER DAY? For a place that seems to pride itself on luxury what the fuck is with $10 per day internet? It's 2012 people. Not 1997. Can you choose to only pay $5 for 12 hours? Nope. There's one spot in the lobby you can hook into a cable for free internet but sorry that I'd rather work online from the comfort of my hotel room that is already oh so costly. This is an old and dated hotel which I am surprised received such high ratings from Yelp. There are much better options in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The check-in staff were hurried and rude, and annoyed by my questions resulting from their confusing instructions on where to go for what. I'm a guest - take the time to make sure I am comfortable before rushing me to my room. As someone who stays in hotels 75+ nights a year, this was one of my worst check-in experiences ever. Dinner on the terrace was slow with inattentive servers and most of the group's food being average at best. For a $600 meal the service was terrible and the food was over-priced for the portion size. Front desk told us that it was impossible to order a bottle of wine after 10:30 PM since room service was closed. This is Niagara-on-the-Lake - aka. wine country, for sure someone could find a bottle of wine for patrons in their room, even at such a reasonable hour. The lounge told us they were disallowed in serving after 11:30 PM, which meant we had to leave if we wanted to continue our evening (Ontario liquor laws allow for alcohol service until 2 AM). There were more than enough of us in our group to support continued service. Frankly, I would not recommend this place unless you are a 9 PM sleepyhead who is not concerned with doing anything after dark. Given the hotel's distance from the downtown I would select another place to stay (it is not close to the main strip of Niagara-on-the-Lake) - this hotel simply isn't worth it. The "premium" and "luxury" marketing simply do not live up to the service standard. The price is not worth it as better venues have more value (this is not my first stay in NOTL, but this is my last stay at Queen's Landing or any other Vintage Hotel). Queen's Landing is not recommended in the slightest. I would not stay here again under any circumstances. If I was to attend a wedding or event in this area I would choose to stay at a non-Vintage Hotel property in the proper downtown of Niagara-on-the-Lake, or a BnB. read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here on Sunday night as part of their Silver Sundays package. We had a lovely King Room for $25 with a fireplace and a jetted tub. All of the staff were exceptional. The front desk staff explained all the options to us for dinner and where we could find the pool, bar and dining room. When we called down for a reservation, they promptly made one for us. Other hotel chains could learn a lot from the attitude of the staff at Vintage Inns. We had a three course dinner at Tiara for $60 each. Jill was our server and she was wonderful and made everything very special from her extensive wine knowledge to her refined yet warm and familiar service. She even offered to get some cream for our morning coffee to take back to the fridge for the morning. We had the foie gras to start with. It was a bit tiny, but the main course and dessert made up for it. My Entree had 2 confit duck legs. I had to have one wrapped up. My boyfriend's steak was perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth tender. We hardly had room for dessert but since we had three courses we enjoyed the Ginger Creme Brulee and the Peanut Butter Tower. Both were outstanding and we rolled ourselves back to the room with it's super comfy bed and warm fireplace and passed out. We were very impressed with everything at Queen's Landing. I don;t know if we could ever afford to go back or if we would since this was a bit of a belated New Year's Eve for us. Regularly our room would have been at least $300/night and for that price, we'd probably stay with my parents, who live half an hour away. But at this price, we had very nice and relaxing getaway and I'd highly recommend searching for off season deals as this hotel is very nice and doing things right. read more

So it's that time of the year again when the weather starts getting nicer and you want to have a little day/weekend trip. First stop on your list should be to Niagara-on-the-Lake. The Queen's Landing is a wonderful place if it's to stay over or just to dine. Personally I love going to a late lunch on a sunny day to eat at Baccuhs Lounge. It's casual dining for anytime but you can sit on the patio which over looks the water and marina I guess you could say (boats are docked here). As far as what to eat I think everything is wonderful but you should try their fish and chips. I know they have a wonderful Mother's Day Brunch so if you'd like to treat your mom or a mom you know to a wonderful brunch in this area, this is the place to go, she'll love it and probably love you that much more for taking her there. Another thing I really like about the hotel is that it's off the main street of the town. It can get pretty busy during the spring and summer so it's a little bit quieter. I know there are also a lot of weddings that go on here so if you're looking for a place for a banquet or wedding in the area I would suggest checking it out. read more

This is a cute hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake -- about 90 minutes away from Toronto. It has the feel of an old plantation estate. Check-in was good and unobtrusive. Room service, though, had a few glitches. Tried calling at about 6:15 p.m. and it rang and rang and rang and rang for about five minutes. I hung up and called again, and then waited another few minutes before someone picked up. I thought it was odd that it didn't go to voicemail or an operator. When it arrived, the server was very polite, but the food wasn't exactly as I'd ordered. They have a "Hearts of Romaine" salad which is said to come with "a creamy mustard dressing" and bacon. I ordered that and asked for extra cheese on the side. What I got instead was a generic Caesar salad (with Caesar dressing, not mustard dressing), barely any bacon (literally about 1/3rd of a strip, crumbled), and the extra cheese simply wasn't there. The Atlantic salmon entree was very nice -- a hint of maple syrup basting, I think. But it was $40 (after taxes)! FORTY DOLLARS for a salmon, some veggies, and noodles? Come on. That's totally unacceptable. I've paid $40 for lobster, and great lobster at that. The Sprite I'd asked for came in a small bottle at room temperature. :-( Oh, and the cost of room service delivery was about $8.50 (they charge 15% of the bill, as opposed to a flat $5 or so, as most hotels do). In total, with tip, the cost was $70 for a small Caesar salad, salmon with basic veggies and noodles, one Sprite, and a glass of milk. That's way too much, even for over-priced room service. Not a happy camper. :-( I was there to give a speech in their main ballroom. It's a big room but, with hard floors and hard walls, is very echoey. The contracted A/V guy there from Telav was outstanding! Had everything ready, a fresh battery, the right adapter, and so on. Flawless. The staff are very nice and the hotel is impeccably kept (you even get a fresh rose on your pillow each night), but if you're going to stay there, plan avoiding the room service. P.S. If you use Fido as your cell provider, cellular coverage is VERY spotty. Most of the time, I couldn't get a signal at all. That's an immediate fail for a hotel, in my books, and for that reason alone (let alone the room service), I won't stay here again. read more

My girlfriend and I went here to celebrate her birthday. We had been to other fine dining establishments in the Buffalo NY area, (Russell's, Salvatore's, etc) and I had been here frequently in the late 90s and early 00s and was quite impressed, then. Now, while the food and service are still beyond compare, the facilities are looking their age. In the Tiara dining room, my chair had a crack in the vinyl, (which I could've sworn were leather before) and the carpeting is fraying at the stairs. There is now a mix of classic style with gaudy electric fireplaces hanging on the wall, that look TOTALLY out of place. The music playing was a Spanish guitar and other out-of-place types of music. If you come to a place like this, you expect soft harp and piano, maybe violin, not a Spanish guitar. Not that there's anything wrong with a Spanish guitar, it was just as out of place as the gaudy fireplaces. Had this been my first experience with Vintage Inns, I would not return. The value for money is well spent on the food and service, but the ambiance is ruined by the "touches" and the lack of maintenance. I understand the owner is the brother of the previous owner, and I can tell you she would NEVER have stood for a lackluster ambiance. While I will be checking out the other Vintage Inns again in the future, they'd better live up to my expectations, or I won't return. read more

I recently stayed here for a conference with approximately 15 of my colleagues and their spouses. Many of my colleagues arrived in Niagara on the Lake earlier in the day and were able to obtain early check-in times at the hotel in order to enjoy the nearby attractions. The hotel is just a short walk away from the main street, the Shaw Theatre, and the Waterfront area. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful overall, including the reception desk, food services and housekeeping. We did have pre-dinner drinks at the Bacchus Lounge which has a lovely patio; the weather was amazing at the time, and it was quite a pleasant view. For dinner, we dined at the Tiara restaurant and were presented with a set menu with choices of a kale salad, steamed mussels and pepper bisque to start. I chose the mussels in cream sauce, which were quite nice overall, but not exceptional. For the mains, we were given the option of steak, salmon, or chicken breast. The majority of individuals who chose steak (despite their individual requests) felt the steak was overcooked. I chose the salmon which was quite bland overall. Our dessert was a cheesecake with berry compote, which was quite nice overall. The following morning we had a breakfast buffet that was your 'typical' continental cuisine of pastries and fresh fruits, coffees, and teas. We also had a lunch buffet in the afternoon (although I did not attend). I also used the gym facilities, and since the last time I was at this hotel, these have been upgraded significantly. There are free weights, resistance training tools, ellipticals, exercise bikes (for spin class), and 2 treadmills. The pool area is also quite nice. Our conference facilities were great in that there were well-equipped meeting rooms with AV equipment and technical support. Overall the stay was quite nice. The hotel was busy at the time due to the season itself, and a number of events including a wedding taking place; however, the staff and facility seemed to deal with these issues in a very organized and professional manner. Upon arrival, one would be taken away by the classic look of the building and surroundings. Nicely appointed rooms and amenities with a luxurious feel. You can really tell that a lot of planning went into the development of this hotel. However, things fall short very fast. They are seemingly understaffed. Our dinner service took over 2 hours. I initially just brushed it off as they seemed busy. The biggest annoyance and inconvenience was during the 2nd night. While trying to find parking on their private lot, I made multiple circles around also visiting the underground lot. I decided to park in the reserved section (not handicapped nor emergency). I had planned to stop at the front desk to inform them there was no parking. We had a shuttle booked to a winery which left 6:00pm sharp so I could not be late. Before I could even talk to any of the receptionists, I was stopped by a "manager" and immediately asked to move my vehicle. I had informed him that there were no more spots available on the premises. Here is where things get very disappointing: Considering he's in the line of customer service, one should assume that they apologize for the inconvenience (nope). One would assume that a hotel would have sufficient parking for all their guests, especially those that are staying over night - I assumed wrong. If he was listening, he would have understood that I made multiple trips around the lot. He offered to valet my vehicle (manual transmission). I'm not comfortable with an unfamiliar person driving my car especially if I'm unsure of their ability to do so. If they were to valet the vehicle, it would definitely be off property. I would be hindered with the inconvenience of more time wasted and uncertainty of my vehicle's safety. He had told me to check another back lot. Guest what, full. The entire process took over 45 minutes on my so called weekend retreat. We were staying for 2 nights. I had to find street parking on my own, return later in the evening and move my car again. What a way to relax! Some other hotels may not "look" as nice, but, at least they don't inconvenience those that are staying. read more

The customer service was like none other. Other one was really nice and really willing to help or recommend anything you asked about. Plus what sets this hotel a part from any other that I have stayed at they give you a rose every day you stay there. My only negative was the food. The cook everything well done like beef and fish. The rooms were normal rooms nothing fancy in the standard room. A beautiful place to have a holiday party at. read more

I was just at Queen's Landing last weekend for a wedding and I have to say it was a wonderful experience. Their wedding coordinator Teri made it stress-free for the bride and the bridal party so that everyone could enjoy the weekend. Everyone on staff was exceptional. The Grand Georgian was perfect for the wedding. It had it's own atrium for cocktail hour and the meal at the reception was delicious as well. We also had breakfast and brunch in the Tiara room and the food was outstanding! We stayed here in November so the pricing for the rooms were more reasonable than during peak season. I enjoyed a night at this lovely hotel. The grounds and indoor flowers were very nice. Everything was very clean and nicely appointed. I took advantage of the pool area and again, so clean and enjoyable. Breakfast had a good selection and the dining room is comfortable and airy. All staff I interacted with were very helpful and courteous. I would recommend Queens Landing. read more

I stayed for a week in a lovely room with a king bed, fireplace (not that I need it now) and loveseat sofa. The bathroom had a separate shower and jacuzzi tub, which was nice. The cleaning staff were very sweet and thorough and they leave you a rose on your pillow every night. The location was very close to the main drag so it was absolutely convenient. The concierge staff was also very helpful and kind. Some things I didn't care for: 1. They have water softeners so it feels like you can't rinse off properly. I hate that feeling. It makes my skin and hair feel weird. Not a fan and this may factor into whether I come here again. 2. The water pressure is terrible if other rooms are using the water at the same time. I had to pause a few times during my showers because I couldn't lather up because there wasn't enough water. 3. The A/C seemed to be wonky. The hallways were freezing yet my room was warm. I'd either freeze or die of heat. It was hard to get an appropriate temperature in the room. read more

I don't really understand the prior comments about service. We found everyone in this hotel and in the restaurant to be exceedingly friendly and helpful. It's a grand old hotel in a nice location. Our room was sizable, with nice toiletries and complimentary bottles of water. We didn't have time to use the pool, but had a really delicious dinner downstairs. Of particular note was that our server made suggestions that could've resulted in a smaller check. (1) She warned us that the wedding cocktail event we were heading to would have heavy appetizers, not just crudite and (2) she told me my pasta dish would be quite hearty in size. It's unusual for a server to provide this kind of guidance and I appreciated her all the more for it. Food was delicious--loved the amuse bouche and the pinot noir too. read more

This quaint but elegant hotel has a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and very personable. The service is superb and the accomodations are great as well. The room is very clean and well serviced. We had an issue with the vending machine and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. The two ladies working the lounge bar were more than happy to resolve the problem. This place is great due to the proximity to nearby vineyards and the newly opened Niagara outlet. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to have a quiet getaway at the Niagara on the Lake. read more

Hotel: We stayed at the Queen's Landing over the Family day long weekend for one night. We got an amazing package deal that included one night stay, dinner, and two vouchers for a tasting at two wineries. Great right? Well, of course because we got an "offer" we were only entitled to certain rooms. Okay. fine. The room was beautiful and very luxurious. However, this is not something that is unique to Queens Landing only. Also be aware that the hotel will place a hold on your credit card for any incidentals...kind of an old school thing, but inconvenient as we put our money on our credit card for use for the day around town and now we were subject to a hold. Restaurant: AT the restaurant, we waiting for over 2 hours for our meal. Clearly the staff were aware and gave us "free coffee", we did not even complain. Our appetizers, which consisted of mussels and a beet salad took over one hour to arrive. The problem is that we ended up spending more money in wine than we wanted to as we were just sitting around and waiting. And of course because we were part of an "offer", the meal included only certain items off the menu and the rest, while you could order, were all extra charges. Okay, so now, I'm feeling as if you are being treated less just because you took advantage of an offer that the Hotel provided. The beet salad came with all of 2 pieces of a beet. very disappointing. The steak was tough and thin...although the waiter did warn us to buy the bigger better steak (at a cost of course). Amenities: We took part in the amenities of the hotel. the swimming pool and hot tub. Three days after i came home, i developed a terrible rash from the hot tub. This is caused by unsanitary conditions of the hot tub. While i appreciate that they do probably take care of it through various testing and inspections...it definitely feel short that day. I went to my doctor who, right away asked me if I had been in a hot tub and advised that these rashes typically appear within 72 hours. I did contact the hotel and they had the audacity to tell me "while I believe it may have been caused from their hot tub". They made me think i was the crazy one. I know it was caused by their hot tub, my doctor knew right away! i didn't appreciate that comment at all. Next day in Hotel: We did not have to check out unil 11. however, at 8:30 a maid literally just walked right into our room ready to clean it. She apologized when we were clearly still in bed. no knocking, nothing. The maid service did it again at 9:30!!! c'mon. I know, next time we need to dead bolt the door, however a knock would have been nice. Overall: while it appears impressive at the forefront...staff don't really treat you that great especially if by god you got an offer! read more
