We cannot say enough wonderful things about the Red Coach Inn. We stayed here for our wedding and hosted a large dinner party at the restaurant, and every part of the experience was exceptional. The rooms were absolutely excellent. I stayed in one room with my bridal party while my husband and his groomsmen got ready in a separate room, and both spaces were beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly suited for the day. Great place. We were looking for a restaurant to eat breakfast before going on the Maid of the Mist boat ride to the falls. We really lucked out on this place. It is a beautiful old, well cared for hotel called the Red coach Inn and it has a very charming restaurant. We were able to sit outside at a table that looks out to the Niagara Falls river abot 200 yards before it goes over the falls. Very good view. I ordered the eggs Benedict, with potatoes. Classic dish with hollandaise , poached egg, ham and an English muffin. The English muffin was not toasted and the hollandaise was bland but it was okay and I did eat enjoy it. My wife had the Vegetarian bake with eggs over easy. She said this was simply wonderful. They sautéed vegetables and onions and mix them with the homemade fried potatoes and cheese. Then they put two over easy eggs on top. As a non-meat eater she loved this dish. It was the perfect place to find because the food was good. It was our first time in Niagara Falls. This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide. Going in my husband and I thought "we are going to have a romantic dinner for two" because the lighting is dim looks old style. But we were not expecting freaking Chef RATATOUILLE to be checking up on us!!! We continuously kept shoo-ing him away and nothing worked. At this point we hadn't got our main entree yet, buy the time it got to us we asked for a box and left the place. I honestly couldn't eat after seeing the mouse. I was grossed out and anxious to get out of there. We didn't say anything because we where trying to be polite and not embarrass anyone one. We paid over $150 to dine with Ratatouille himself. Went to Red Coach Inn for dinner on 5-15-26. The only redeeming item that we had on the menu were the crab cake appetizers. The mains, Ahi Tuna Special, Salmon Plank, Scallops (Pasta accompaniment was tasteless) and Mahi Mahi were all served cold or luke warm and clearly prepared from frozen. All were not executed with any more deft than a short order cook. This is a tourist trap and probably a much better bet in high season for lunch only which is more fitting of the kitchen's expertise. My husband and I had our wedding night meal here back on May 25th, 2025 and they did not disappoint. As a vegan, I ordered the stuffed avocado, the Tuscan Vegetable Pasta and my husband had the Mahi Mahi. We called in advance and requested candlelit seating with a view, which they obliged immediately and were quite kind. The view of the rapids was lovely as we enjoyed a wonderful, filling meal, we enjoyed the free sides of bread too!! Thank you for being a part our big day and for taking our photograph at dinner. From some research on where to stay on the American side all paths led to Red Coach Inn. Booked for 1 night and when we flew in we checked in around 930pm. It was dark and windy and we weren't in the mood to explore-- just plop and sleep. But my Cornwall room had a jacuzzi tub and that was amazing to use after a day of travel. The wallpaper was fun and attractive to see while settling in. Pillows all too puffy for my liking and had to roll up a towel as a flatter substitute. When we woke up we were able to really enjoy the room and walked down for breakfast. Great meal with a nice server. Then we walked 10 minutes to check out the falls wow can't beat the location! Just an all around great experience that we returned 4 days later to eat lunch on our drive back into Buffalo. Bought a souvenir wine glass to remember the time. read more

The Cornwall suite was gigantic and spacious. 2 bedroom suite with fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with stand in shower and a jetted jacuzzi tub for two. The living room had a fireplace, spacious seating with a loveseat and two chairs, Bose radio, and a wall mounted TV. It was clean and updated. Will be recommending to friends! This is one of the only historical looking and feeling buildings left in this area which is a shame but it is beautiful. Inside there is a great fireplace and it feels very nice. We had lunch there after a day of walking the park. Food was great! Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was great. Please check it out if you visit the park. We got a recommendation from our hotel that this was a nice place to enjoy a pricey but good meal. I wonder when the last time they actually ate here! We called and got a reservation and off we went. The restaurant is in a B &B and is definitely a bit dated. We were seated right away, and then things went downhill. After sitting for a bit, a waiter, James, finally arrived, took our drink order and off he went. We waited and waited. Finally someone else brought our wine and we waited for James. He gave us bread and left again. Finally he came back and took our orders. After a bit our apps arrived. My shrimp cocktail was okay but they were not tiger shrimp. My wife enjoyed her pear salad. After our apos were done someone took my wife's salad plate but my shrimp tails got to sit in their cup...all the way through dinner! Dinner finally arrived, my steak was good, but the mashed potatoes were cold. I would have brought it to my servers attention if we saw him again. My wife's salmon was good. My wife was able to flag someone to get another glass of wine. We finished our meal and waited and waited for someone to clear the plates and ask about dessert. After 25 minutes,we finally flagged down the hostess and asked about dessert . She indicated that someone would bring it. I asked when our plates may be removed. She indicated that she would take out plates. I indicated how long we had waited and she indicated that James had other customers, not sure what we were. Stayed here for three days for November and the place is definitely a great spot to be if you are looking for cozy, accessible location to Niagara falls -Rooms: very clean and nicely organized. I stayed in Somerset room and one suit (forgot the name) and they were very nice. Suits definitely had a great view and guest rooms were spacial. -Staffs: very friendly and offered great restaurants nearby. -Breakfast: we included breakfast and the food was decent. Many stores were closed due to off-seasons so there weren't much option so I cannot say it's the best brunch you can get, but would still recommend and suggest as a great spot with amazing view. read more

Such an incredible venue: so close to the river and nature hikes/bike ride. The room was old school charming, included a jacuzzi bathtub, and they even had a small bottle of sparkling wine and a charcuterie plate for us when we arrived. The staff was very pleasant, and included in our fee was breakfast in the attached restaurant. My family enjoyed the stay, and if we are in the area again, I would definitely choose this venue again! Cute hotel but the dinner at the restaurant was subpar. Caesar salad was not fresh, had wilted dark green romaine pieces, the slimy ones you pick out from a Caesar salad bag. Buffalo wings were drowned in what tasted like BBQ sauce from a grocery store. Seafood platter was not worth half of the $52 we spent - small lobster tail, shrimp scampi was mediocre at best. Our party of 4 arrived around 8:45 for dinner. The restaurant was almost empty but had some nice ambiance. Then the waiter showed up. I can honestly say I've never been anywhere where the server was more open about hating his job as what this guy showed. His answers to our questions about the menu where arrogant and surly and he seemed to be bothered about dealing with us. But made sure we knew he had been there for 5 years. The food was OK, brought out by someone from the kitchen, but this guy never stopped over to refill drinks or even to clear soup cups or bread plates. Beautifully appointed and comfortable rooms were right across the bridge from Goat island. It was unseasonably cold so we enjoyed warming up and drying off in front of the gas fireplace after getting drenched at the cave of the winds. We unfortunately had a very mixed dining experience. The shepherd's pie was very flavorful, with generous portions of meat. However, the presentation was like something from a school cafeteria. The flavors of the pear salad were great, and the added chicken breast was very juicy and flavorful, but the entire salad was completely deconstructed and impossible to mix in--this was not described in the menu, and was very bizarre. We learned from our very kind and attentive waiter that the management forces them to make the salads themselves. This seems unprofessional and unfair to the waiters. From a customer perspective: please do not put items on your menu if you don't have the capacity to provide a quality version of those items made by your chefs. Came here for a dinner that was supposed to be for eight, we canceled it, we called back and made it for two canceled that, and made it for eight again, canceled that and made it for two. I have to say they were extremely forgiving of our constant changes. Bread regular and strawberry butter and oil come out with it, the strawberry butter was good and different. The place seems to do really well with toppings and additives, but the core of the food is lacking. I ordered salmon, which in the pas, family members have also ordered and really enjoyed. I like my salmon done medium, and I suppose I could have ordered it that way, but didn't because a lot of restaurants will now serve your salmon slightly pink in the center, but there's came out well done. The pecan butter on it is fantastic. But, the salmon was a bit dry. My dining partner ordered the pork medallions. These are boneless pork chops, not pork tenderloin. I'm unsure as to why they just don't get pork tenderloin as it will be way more tender and moist than a regular pork chop. They said that they frequently have a problem with their pork chops being dry. Pork is also some thing that doesn't need to be cooked well done... it can be slightly pink in the center as long as you've reached the correct internal temperature. The topping on the pork was really good too. They did bring us another dish of salmon because the pork was dry. If you like your food cooked, well done, as I know some do... This place is for you! I love the setting, we sat in the area that is like a porch and has windows where you can see to the Niagara River. It is probably one of the nicest places to eat in the Falls. I would say, if you're going to come here, make your likes and dislikes known before you place your order. read more

I really like many things about the Red Coach Inn: the architecture (it's an actual historic building), the grand fireplace, the rapids views from the second floor, the general coziness of the place for a cocktail on a warm summer old cold winter day. But neither the selection nor the execution of the food or bar menus are all that (in fact, it both seem a bit stuck in the 1990's version of "New American"). The wine and liquor selection are, frankly, dreadful for a place catering to refined tastes, and the bartenders often have to ask me how to make two-ingredient drinks. But if you forget all that and just focus on the space that you're in and enjoy some mid-grade scotch right across from the churning Niagara River, well, you might just find yourself happy anyway. Quaint B&B we stumbled upon while driving out to the Falls to catch the Maid of Mist. Our party of 4 was hungry so we took a chance to stop for lunch and we're glad we did! The guys each had the Beef Weck; it's like a French dip with horseradish and au jus. Us girls each had a bowl of the French onion soup. A lot of soup for only $8! I came with a friend of mine to eat at the restaurant yesterday evening. This was a special occasion as I ate there on my wedding day and my friend stayed when she got married. However, it would appear that the restaurant side has greatly gone down hill. The meal was definitely not up to par, firstly the main course was brought out while we were still half way through our appetizers so left to get cold next to us. The fish and chips dish looked good. However, I had the chicken pasta dish which was supposed to come with penne pasta and was served with spaghetti. The chicken was cold and was sitting on top of the spaghetti, it looked like chicken pieces you add to a salad? The dish itself looked like it had been sitting for a while as a field had developed over the top of it and the pasta was greatly overcooked. Extremely disappointing. I would only give you 2 stars, 1 for the actually building and location and 1 because the fish and chips looked good. Is place has great food, the chicken parm my sister and I had was really good, I typically don't like chicken parm but this was special and "very yummy" my sister quoted. I also liked the complementary mints up at the front. The inside is pretty cool also reminds me of an old fashioned way type of style. The bread and strawberry butter were very good. In no time our appetizers and soups were bought out. We shared some mild wings thinking that my wife and granddaughter would have some but they just concentrated on their French Onion Soup. My son and I could have tried the hot wings but the mild was very good. Nice and crispy. My granddaughter ordered the Tuscan Vegetable Pasta and she enjoyed it very much. For a ten-year-old, she did a good job putting most of the huge portion away. My son ordered the Teriyaki Chicken, I knew he'd finish and he did not disappoint. He liked it so much I think his ears were wiggling. My wife ordered the Chicken French. She thoroughly enjoyed it. I was looking forward to the Chicken Parm but they were out of it. I went to my second choice, Fish and Chips. I received a huge portion of fried fish done perfectly on a plate of fries. The coleslaw was very good but I wish it was a little colder when served. The taste was very good though. The dinner portions were perfect, the price was reasonable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I'm beginning to base my reviews of restaurants on 4 criteria. Food, atmosphere, cleanliness and friendliness. Food gets 2 points because really, that's why we go out to eat. The food gets 1 out of two points. It was so bland. I used the salt shaker so many times just for some flavor. The pork chop and green beans had no flavor. And you can see in the picture the beans weren't even trimmed. They'll be lucky if someone doesn't choke on them. The mashed potatoes saved the evening. Also, the crab cakes were pretty good. The restaurant is filthy. The chairs have cloth on them that looks to never have been cleaned. There is dust everywhere. We sat beneath a very loud air conditioner that was cakes in dirt. The bathroom had no toilet paper or paper towels in it and was littered with garbage all over the floor. The atmosphere could be amazing. It's such a pretty restaurant. With a good clean up this place could be great. The music was awful. Such an odd mixture. Our waitress was great. She was the saving grace of the whole experience. I don't recall her name, but she was very kind and attentive. This was a disappointing visit. We've wanted to go here for years.
