On the actual day however, she really impressed. She felt inspired by my tear drop brooch bouquet and asked if she could try something a bit more elaborate because the original style was too plain for my dress and bouquet. What I got was something I wouldn't have even known I could ask for as it was just so detailed and elaborate. I totally loved it. By the end of the night I had a couple loose ends and a bit of fizzing in heat and humidity but it held up well. I was so tired by the end of the day I ended up sleeping in my hair it was comfortable enough (I've had updos that gave me a headache they hurt so badly). I'm posting photos of mine and my maid of honor's hair. Mine was $100 and hers was a bit less. I know there is cheaper hair out there but I say it was well worth it for the mobile service in the comfort of my mom's home. Over all I would totally recommend giving Lyana consideration for a wedding, grad or other important hair style requiring occasion.

Originally the bride was going to have her make-up done by MAC and hair done by a friend but at the last minute she chose to have Lyana do her make-up instead. We chose Lyana based on her experience expressed through the wonderful portfolio pictures on her facebook page. I could tell right away that she was very good at what she does. We communicated solely over emails up until the wedding. Lyana was very easy to reach, she was always quick to respond to our emails, was able to answer all of our questions and was very accommodating to our needs. We even threw a few last minute changes her way (like location and having the bride's make-up done) and it was never a problem. She accommodated everything we asked. On the morning of the wedding, Lyana and her assistant arrived promptly as scheduled (always important for a wedding day). In no time at all they transformed us into the most beautiful expressions of ourselves. The quality of make-up she uses combined with her application techniques, gave us stunningly BEAUTIFUL looks that lasted all day and all night! Her hair designs were not only beautiful but creative and unique, like little works of art, that also held up throughout the day and evening without any problems. Not even so much as a loose pin. She seriously did such a good job, I would recommend her 100% of the time to anyone looking for a hair and/or make-up professional.

Brought my daughter in for a consult and service to get her hair done for her Gr 12 grad photos…read more Had emailed Rees 2 inspiration photos a month prior to this and was told one looked like a color starting at $70 and the one looked like a root melt starting at $180. During the consultation with Rees a plan was made for proceeding with service. 2 weeks later we confirmed the appt but was told Rees was sick and had a different stylist to step in. My daughter had platinum blond hair and we explained to the new gal that she wanted low lights to give depth & dimension but absolutely no brown tones and no silver or ashy colors. 2 hrs later my daughter had the color washed out and was very upset because her hair was not at all what she asked for. The fronts and tips on the bottom at the back were all silver grey and the lowlights all throughout her hair were brown. The stylist then proceeded to add a toner to remove the silver. It still wasn't enough as her whole hair appeared dirty blond and washed out looking. My daughter was devastated. I explained she wanted the blond look that she had when we arrived but just a minimal lowlight refresh .. The stylist then added yet another toner and brightened up her hair a touch more but after 5 painful hrs, my daughter said it was ok just to get out of there but really wasn't happy. She felt her hair was ruined. Then came the bill. Now remember I was originally quoted "starting at $180" and I figured it would be abit more with all the hassles but I did not expect it to be DOUBLE.. plus a tip. They expected me to pay $444 for a complete disaster!! The stylist called Rees and had me chat with her but after being spoken down to rudely and not listening to anything I had to say, I figured a review warning everyone else would be better than trying to reason with her. So I paid the bill but I'll never be back!! So here's a GIANT warning that if you go there, get them to repeat back what your wishes are and be sure to confirm what you're paying ahead of time or plan to get ripped off!!

She was professional, gentle, and made the whole process very comfortable. I really appreciated their care and attention. However, my experience with the dental exam was disappointing. According to my dental estimate, the exam wasn't covered by my insurance, and I made this clear to both the Dr. Lavallee and her assistant Sapna. Despite my concerns, Sapna assured me that they would use a different code (as other exam or emergency exam) to submit it to insurance and get it approved. Unfortunately, that promise wasn't kept. Later, I was informed that the insurance did not approve the claim, and I was required to pay out of pocket. I felt misled because I had communicated clearly from the beginning that this exam was not covered, yet they went ahead with it anyway and left me with the bill. So while the cleaning was great, the handling of the exam and billing left a bad impression. Don't trust verbal assurances from the dental office--they will fail you, and don't fall for it, because at the end of the day, they just want the money. They don't care whether it's paid by insurance or out of your pocket.
