So this place is... well you see their Mexican but I ordered the Peruvian dish... OK, the truth this place is hard to pin down. I guess the best explanation is that it is your typical Mexican, Peruvian, Dominican Pizza sandwich and BBQ joint. Maybe.... Yeah they have everything on the menu. I can't imagine being great at everything but everything we had was very good. I had the Lomo Saltado although they don't make the famous Peruvian green chili sauce. They did provide a green Mexican style sauce. It was good too. My wife ordered the empanadas. I have never experienced empanadas this size. They were good too. Birria queso and beef. Again, very good. My father-in-law had the tostadas and he seemed to be happy with his. I wouldn't know, he didn't offer me a taste :( Cellvie, our waitress, was super nice and talkative. Ended up trying Queens Pizza Palace because it was close and I had a taste for Peruvian. So since the reviews were good it decided to try it out. Went about 30 mins before closing and decided to try the Pernil (more Puerto Rican) and the signature Peruvian dish to gauge, the Lomo. Both were excellent, staff was courteous and fast. Although more of a takeout spot on the main drag, the decor and the unique tables and chairs are pretty cool. I liked this spot and would return. read more

He said it had good taste, but he also mentioned is one of those things that's hard to "fuck up". On the other hand, mine didn't taste bad, however, the aftermath left a sour taste in my mouth. I was in the mood for Latin food and a local recommended this restaurant. It's only a couple of blocks away from the Boardwalk. She said the food was good, but she was wrong. The food was excellent! I'm a vegetarian, so she prepared a dish with sautéed red onions, broccoli, green peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and cilantro with a side order of arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon peas) and pinto beans. My girlfriend who is also a vegetarian and gluten free ordered a Peruvian seafood soup (Parihuela), it had clams, shrimp, muscles, oysters, scallops, octopus, fish, onions, tomatoes, cilantro and it comes with a side order of white rice. Great food for lunch. The rice and beans has a lot more flavor than the Mexican place next door on the corner of the block. This place looks like a shit hole from the outside but the flavors of their Dominican section of the menu will not disappoint. Have also seen a group of 14 cops all come in here for their lunch break. So it's obviously got its followings. I've gotten the chicharon with rice, beans and plantains. It was around $10 which I ended up sharing it with 2 other coworker (both guys are over 6' tall) and we were all very full. There are 2 different sauces u can choose from for the empanadas. I've had both the mayo/ketchup sauce and the green hot chili sauce. I prefer the green hot chili sauce to help cut through the deep fried empanads. I usually buy 2 empanadas for $2 total. You can also buy pizza here per slice for $2 each but just a heads up, the slices are huge. It's equivalent to 2 slices of pizza that other places would offer. Hope u enjoy. read more

The beef or chicken empanadas and stuffed deep fried potato balls (stuffed with seasoned beef and cheese) are great appetizers or meals themselves. It was a 1/2 chicken with rice and beans. it had absolutely no flavor to it. the chicken taste like it was cooked previously, frozen and then reheated. First things first the delivery person was very rude when I checked the receipt on the delivery bag when I paid him and he said it was not enough. I went to get more money to pay him and give him a tip. l handed him another 20 and he called me cheap and told me the next time (there will not be a next time}, I would have to come and get my food. NO TIP FOR HIM. I called to report his behavior and was told there was nothing they could do about it. The fried chicken looked and tasted horrible. The beans were under seasoned. This isn't a 5-star place in NYC, but we're talking about Atlantic City, so as far as affordable and tasty options go, this place is pretty solid. I went with 3 hungry friends, who each got a sandwich (2 Cubans and a Mushroom Cheesesteak), and an empanada. I tried the chicken and beef empanadas and a slice of pizza. As far as empanadas go, this place definitely made some of the better ones I've had, even those in NYC. Their green sauce provides a nice kick on everything they have...so good that we polished off an entire squeeze bottle by ourselves. Everyone was extremely satisfied with their food, and at $2 a slice and $2 per empanada, the value was definitely there. Service was top notch, the employees were quite friendly and they have a great selection of food & drinks. They mainly speak Spanish but we were able to communicate between my bad Spanish and her limited English.
