I loved this restaurant/wine bar so much. We didn't have a reservation but they put our names down…read moreand let us order drinks and bar snacks at the bar (seating along a wall facing the bar and the bar itself). We ordered one of their more natural red wines available chilled, and Pane & Olio EVOO, and Salsiccette al Tartufo. The bread was so fresh (baked in house daily), and also came with a spicy olive oil option as well as salt and pepper and a plate to dip. The sausage was the perfect little snacking cup with toothpicks and overall everything went well with our wine. They also gave us the little circular baked crackers to dip in our wine. When we were called we were moved to the main dining area which was adorable. Nearly every table had unique artwork on the surrounding walls. We then ordered more of the same wine, the Bonaccia salad, and the Parmigiana di Melanzane con Ricotta Salata. The salad was SO good. It was perfect with lemon and delicious olive oil dressing and an even mix of lettuce, cooked diced potatoes, olives, octopus, sundried cherry tomatoes. The eggplant was a fantastic texture, not too soft but tender and the cheese on it was immaculate. We were too full for dessert but the waiter offered us free limoncello shots as a night cap. My favorite part of this spot was how fun and kind the staff were to us. Letting me practice my Italian, giving great recommendations and overall being super accomodating. I'd love to come back.

Still busy for lunch and at first there weren't any outdoor tables but somehow one became available right after we arrived. Smaller interior with sectioned dining areas and a good sized outdoor eating area. Our server recommended the Buffalo Ricotta cheese with honey truffle-wow! It was exquisite-so light with honey truffle taking it over the top. They ran out of their Rose so we went with the recommended Red-Monica de Sardegna (delicate/spicy- Sardinian) For main, despite many enticing options, we ordered Lasagna Funghi and the Ricotta Ravioli stuffed with artichokes with Cacio Pepe cream. The lasagna was like no other we've had before -must try! The Ravioli was decadent and creamy-delicious! We were talked into the fresh Panna Cotta for dessert-simple, fruity and light -just right with our espresso and milk. Our server, Anna, took great care of us-kind and patiently provided recommendations and menu option details. One of the top restaurants in the Monti area and not to be missed!

Naples used to be the capital of the Kingdom of Two Sicilies, which was part of the Spanish Crown…read more In fact, the colours of the Spanish flag are also those of the city coat of arms. But with all this histry, it's strange that you could not find real Spanish food anywhere. Until now. Chef Carlos knows his food, and know how to bring Spanish culinary traditions to life, like his Salt Cod with spinach, raisins and pine nuts, or clams in grean sauce. And their Sangria is the only decent one in town. Small and hidden away around hte corner from the Gran Bar Riviera. I'll be back. Presto

They never even smirk at me here nor do they neglect me since I am usually a lone diner. Being a screaming diabetic with insulin always loaded does not seem a good match for anywhere in Italy and it is truly a test of will. But this has become my second home. The cheeses, meats and fabulous fruits help me (almost) overlook the breads and pastas like no other. This place rocks on tapas and makes me a special plate each time. The chorizo is like no other and would be ruined with a carb introduction anyway. I feel like a very special person when I dine here. Acqua fresco is even magical here.
