So I show up for my appointment at Quest Diagnostics - you know, the place that's all about precision, timing, science, the human body, yadda yadda yadda. My appointment is at 8:40 AM. They finally call me back at 9:05. Twenty-five minutes! You could hard-boil an egg twice in that time! And the guy collecting my urine sample? Well he wasn't interested. Oh, he's having the time of his life. Not working. Not calling patients. Not even pretending to look busy. No, no - he's glued to his phone watching music videos like he's front row at the MTV Awards. I'm thinking, "Is Quest Diagnostics branching out? Are we doing lab work and DJing now? Should I tip him? Does he take requests?" Meanwhile I'm sitting there with a cup in my hand trying to decide if I'm interrupting him by showing up for my scheduled medical test. The whole thing felt like a hostage situation where the ransom was "Please hold your bladder just a little longer." And I swear, the guy didn't even look up. I'm standing there like, "Hi! Remember me? The appointment? The thing we're all here for?!" Nothing. Total radio silence. I've had TSA agents show more customer engagement. What's the deal with your staff being 25 minutes behind while living their best TikTok life? I mean, I'm glad he's enjoying the music - but maybe, just maybe, he could enjoy it after he collects the thing he's being paid to collect? Anyway, 1 star. Crowded, rushed, and a bit painful I showed up with veins that even a rookie could find, yet the phlebotomist still hit a nerve--literally. A quick "lightning bolt" shot down to my thumb when the needle went in. Accidents happen, but the chaos here doesn't help. Check-in feels like a cattle call: one kiosk for a lobby full of people. Quest, please install a second kiosk (at least). The tech told me they're "supposed to see 25 patients a day" but always blow past that number. No wonder everyone looks overworked and appointments run late. Until staffing and check-in improve, I'll be booking elsewhere. read more

And the lady one of the nurses was extremely rude to my husband, and I I asked her how she was doing just for her to tell me to move forward was rude from the jump. Do not come here u less you want to be treated like shit!! You need to be fired!!! Extremely unprofessional and not acceptable. She was rushing us saying she had other people even though we made an appointment. I kept trying to explain myself and talk and she wouldn't let me get out one sentence.0/10 no wonder. First of all the person that draw my blood was glu to thr phone which i believe that caused distraction and lead to what happened to me. I spent 2 days trying to make an appointment with them for my 80 yr old husband. Its not easy for me to get his wheelchair out get him anywhere. I finally got the appointment on line its the only option available. However its impossible to get an estimate prior to going. They quote me an estimate they hace no idea the exact amount of $720. The online appointment scheduler wouldn't allow me to schedule an appointment so I had to do a walk-in. You're better off just not even waiting if you have to do a walk in because I waited for over 2 hours in the waiting room before they got me. They had ample opportunity to "fit me into their schedule" as they had appointment time gaps. If you don't have an appointment then they couldn't care less about you. Update: came back to drop off a specimen sample they asked for and they said you need an appointment to simply hand them a sample. Had to get last-minute bloodwork, so I came in her a little after 4 with no appointment and was done within 10 minutes. The lady who did my bloodwork was very friendly and knowledgeable. I left with no pain which is always a plus and she told some funny stories about situations she has encountered working there. read more

Horrible. Absolutely no customer service and no live person to speak with on the phone. I needed to get a drug test for my new job and so I called to make an appointment. After going thru a bunch of prompts I requested the next available appointment. It was a day and a half later. I went in as a walk in but left my appointment on their books as a last case resort, because my employer asked me to get it done ASAP and had also given me limited time to get it. Do yourself a favor and go to another patient conscious lab such as LabCorp for your doctor ordered bloodwork, etc. Neither of the people I had to interact with has any business being in a position that requires patient interaction and customer care! The female front desk or whatever role she is supposed to be playing is rude and disrespectful. Trust me, I have NO interest having to deal with her or that accounting clerk/phlebotomist either! I'm confused why this location has such negative reviews. I was just here yesterday and they took such great care of me! The 3 techs working were all so polite, friendly, and helpful. I waited no more than 10 minutes in the lobby. I was offered ice water. They were so patient with my psychiatrist faxing over the order for my urine drug screen and came out to the waiting room to find me as soon as the order arrived. I have zero complaints. First- no one answers the phone- it's automated- so no live person to answer your questions that can't be addressed through the animated part. You walk in and NO ONE is at the front desk. Check in is by iPad by front desk. I waited 20 min before I saw anyone- they're all in the back. A watched an elderly man walk in alone and no one to greet or assist him. Went there to leave a sample. No one at the front desk!! No one to ask questions to or drop off your sample with! Had to sign in, then couldn't get 'an appointment slot' ( to drop off time and temperature sensitive sample!) for 2 more hours!!!! Worst lab I've ever been to! This was the 2nd time I've tried to use them! They should just close based on these reviews! Drove to another lab at Presby where the lady was at least at the front desk, ON HER CELL PHONE. Another girl was waiting. I asked if I could drop off a sample and she said sign in as a professional and I'll call you. So I did, and sat down. She continued on her cell phone texting , etc. Then finally called me in to take it and check me out. The other girl waiting did not look happy. Today I had to watch my Daughter cry in fear because she needed lab work. My strong willed, independent, smarter and stronger than me baby girl cried and shook and forced herself to let a lady draw her blood. This lady never comforted her, she never tried to make her feel better, she never said a word except "you're moving. Don't move." All I could do was stand there and pray for it to end as soon as possible with my eyes closed because I also have a horrible fear of needles. Do you know what she told her after she was done? "Next time they will strap you down so you will be still." It took everything in me to bite my tongue and set an example because my child was in the room with me. I have NEVER encountered this before. Ever. and to treat a child this way is horrible. She didn't pull her arm away, she didn't tell her no or scream. She cried and because she cried her arm moved a little. Not a lot, I was holding her arm still myself. She has had blood work done in the past and the people have always been caring and compassionate and tried to ease her through something she struggles with. I wish we would have left. I wish we would have gone back to the hospital we just left from and told them we can't let these people draw her blood because they don't have feelings but when u have this fear one of the worst things is actually getting there, sitting in the chair and beginning and that part was already over. If I could do it over, I would leave. I would tell her how I felt and I wouldn't worry about how she felt because she sure as heck didn't care about how my daughter felt.
