I went to the labcorp in Princeton nj at Ewing street. When they put the needle i felt intense pain like they had hit a nerve or something. The person drawing the blood clearly had no training and just stuck the needle wherever they could. Never happened to me ever. I now have a big bruise on my arm with pain. Went in for a routine blood draw. I have super easy veins to stick and have never had an issue getting blood drawn. When the tech stuck me it was SUPER painful- it felt like she hit a nerve or something. After I left I could barely move my arm the rest of the evening- the pain in my bicep was excruciating! the next day I have a HUGE bruise on the posterior/back of my arm - about 2 inches from the actual stick site. the stick site has no marks. I am a nurse and have never seen anything like this happen in all the IV's and blood draws I have performed. They need some re training. read more

I had a very good experience at this location. Walked in and used the self-kiosk to check in for my appointment. I was back for my appointment within minutes of checking in. The staff was friendly and thorough on what I needed to do. Although I had two different test (blood draw and urine), I was in and out within 15 minutes. I was sent to Labcorp by my physician. They are both in Medical City Dallas. My physician is in my network and this is why l use him. On arrival women at the front desk requested my credit card, even though my out of pocket maximum for the year was already paid. Week later Labcorp charged my credit card because my insurance (BCBS) would not pay their bill at all as Labcorp is out of my network. I was never warned that they are out of my network. They should let you speak to a person and check in, a kiosk is not acceptable as the only way. Had to walk out because I have my children to get blood work and the kiosk wasn't working and couldn't even tell anyone what was happening. Hire a receptionist like a normal business. This place is ran very unprofessionally, have given it countless chances and it's only getting worse. The long wait time even with an appointment is insane! They game the system by checking you in and then making you wait in the back for 25-40 minutes!! It's insane, and all you hear while waiting is the lab techs clowning with one another and laughing. Setting aside the fact that they're completely rude and dismissive, they do not know how to draw blood on children. I asked if they had experience with children under 1 to which they responded "they can all draw blood". Well, we found out the hard way they were not qualified to do that. Please do not take your child here. The experience was traumatic and after their failed attempt, they told us we should go to the Children's Hospital to get it drawn. I do wonder what physical damage they ended up doing to my child internally. There's no reason any child or parent should have an experience like we did. It was unprofessional and inexcusable. One more example of corporate greed in the healthcare sector. Simple Saturday morning lab testing turns into an unnecessary half day ordeal . All other locations closed, one open ilia staffed by incredibly hard working and pleasant lab personnel. Corporate clearly has made the calculus that your time is worth nothing- lines out the door and into the parking lot of clearly some sick and all uncomfortable people waiting for lab tests. Add to it the bullshit medical city campus with stupid parking rules. Nobody cares about taking care of people here, nobody. read more

Pleased with the staffs service. Upon entering it was confusing being there is no real person to talk to... everything is Kiosk now; which really is not good when you would like to talk to a live person. I was able to sign in through my phone. I was called back about 10 minutes after. No complaints about the blood draw. The ladies were a great help. I had told them I was going to pay out of pocket (I have insurance). The ladies recommended using my insurance and it worked they were a Godsend. The doctors office I had went to prior said that my insurance was not good enough? Aetna seems to be pretty good... any-who thank you for taking care of me and guiding me in the right direction! read more

After seeing the rating and reviews I was honestly hesitant to come to this location. I contemplated going to a farther location, but their reviews weren't much better, so here I am on a beautiful Saturday morning spending my last two and next two hours getting my 3 hour glucose tolerance test done. I literally made it here a minute before they were supposed to open. As I am walking up to the door at 8 (the time they open), they had already opened the door at 7:59 to let folks go in to check in. Most people self check-in, but if you're having trouble, you could go to the window for assistance. They are buuuussssyyyy. I was the 6th person in line on a Saturday even though I arrived on the dot at the time they open. I later learned that the man had opened up with just himself and started taking blood drawing while still trying to figure out who was in and supposed to be in and etc. Kudos to him for making the most of the situation and having such a great attitude. I waited in the waiting area until called then went into the room assigned by the tall, black man from Chicago. He later joined me and he had to be the world's friendliest person, though you would've never been able to tell if your only interaction was when he was assigning your room, and he's friendly with EVERYONE. He mentioned that he was trying to knock my blood draw out first since I had 3 more drawings to go (spaced out by an hour each). He had some issues with my order and I had to reach out to my doctor's office to have it re-submitted. After some time, I was asked to move out of the room and into a mini waiting area inside the drawing areas as I sorted out my order. Once sorted, I was directed to another room by the same guy. I had my blood drawn by Gwen. She was friendly and professional. She gave me clear directions of what to expect for the next couple of hours and answered any questions I had. The man popped in afterwards as I finished up my glucose drink and ensured I knew what to expect. An hour later, my next blood drawing was by another lady. She wasn't super friendly, but she was definitely professsional and courteous and pleasant. I should also add, my two drawings so far have been great. I hate needles and I always will and will always think they hurt, but as far as pain goes, they're good here. They're quick and it hurts only as much as it needs to. They know what they're doing. After spending what feels like a lifetime and seeing how busy they are (they've consistently had a flow of people in and out and folks in the outside areas and hallway since I've been here), I think they're great and they're working diligently to try and get you in and out as quick as possible. read more

I really wish I could remember the name of the lady who was first helping me. She had purple in her hair and she was so nice and funny. Gwen was the one who took my blood and I expressed to her how much of a pansy I am when it comes to blood work and let her know that I have fainted in the past. She offered to change my room so i could lay down. She was amazing!! She was funny, upbeat and had so much energy! She did everything she could to keep me distracted and it worked. I do recommend getting there as early as possible because they get filled up fast! I didn't make an appointment but I was 3rd in line but when we were let into the office I ended up being the second one called back due to the self check in stands they have. Super easy to use. Lab tech never cleaned room, left the last patient's blood draws and information on her computer screen. Clear violation of the patient's rights and compromised her blood sample. We asked the tech if she were sure we were in the right room as the room did not appear to have been cleaned since her last patient. She pretended like she didn't know what we were talking about until I reminded her that we just saw her taking the last patient's blood off the counter. She ducked her teeth and said "I'll clean it. Go sit in the chair out there" We left. Very irresponsible. We called to speak to a manager and were hung up on. Calling again now and will update. WE WILL NOT STOP UNTIL THIS IS ADDRESSED. read more

I made a 9:15 am appointment online. I checked in at 9 am and used the "wait where you're comfortable" option. I was to be texted when lab was ready. I found a seat outside the small waiting room and waited. At 9:40 I came back to the waiting room and was told by a lab staff that "we are under staffed" and be patient. At 9:50 I was texted for my 9:15 appt. I was done by 10. The tech was friendly and efficient after entering in the required tests. My time is important and I am paying for the tests. The next time I need lab tests I will go to my doctor's office where I never wait more than 15 minutes. read more

The qualifications necessary to work at this company seemed to be based on the beloved character, Sgt Schultz, of Hogan's Heroes. The only differences being that Schultz was disarmingly funny and likeable in the way he treated people. These people, in my experience, simply know nothing in regard to the simplest inquiries from a client about the status of a test result after 10 days. i do have good things to say about their switch board operator who patiently tried to connect me with someone that could help me. I finally got a hold of a lab worker who told me a company line about the typical window timetable of 3-5 days. When he finally agreed to track the test by the id# I was provided by the CDC center in Atlanta, his answer was a bizarre explanation that my sample had been designated a lot number based on where the sample came from and assessment from health officials following the protocols of the presidential task force on COVID-19 testing. That was why in his words, "Others may have been put ahead of your test, we have no way of knowing" see above- I Know Nothing- Then I asked him based on the rate of testing relative to my position in line could he make an educated guess. He said in a hollow voice, "Let me put you on hold". Next sound after several minutes was a dial tone. Receptionist made several attempts to reconnect went directly to CISCO message No messages at this time. I wont put him in a stereotypical box. I will say he has very limited phone etiquette and it would benefit everyone if he received more training. Thanks, again to that pleasant person who tried to help me. I, remain on quarantine down to a ramen noodle soup and can of peas. I am blessed and send my prayers out to anyone afflicted by this insidious pandemic. read more
