I wanted to make you aware of a situation that occurred when I went in, earliest appointment at Quest Glastonbury Tpke. Unfortunately, the experience became very uncomfortable. Although I followed the instructions and had only liquids under 1 inch; I was given water at the site. During the process, the employee then took an one-hour lunch break as I was told to wait until 12PM for her. I made it clear that I would prefer to redo the test afterward with another staff member, as I had somewhere to get to; however, my request was denied and my driver's license was not returned to me. I briefly stepped out to the parking lot, for approximately two minutes to inform my mother what had occurred who was in the car and then immediately return. Despite this, the staff reported that I had left the building as if I had disobeyed, and I was then told they had reached over to the pre-employment place. I feel it was unfair treatment, not being able to leave and the ID being held during this time added stress to the wait. I want to communicate this transparently, as there was no intention to violate any procedure. I truly value and wanted to ensure full context regarding to what happened. read more

Went to Quest this am for Lipid panel. easy check in on waiting room electronic check in. Saves time scanning insurance and drivers license. They even called me early. The Doctors office told me Quest but sent order to another lab. The tech could not of been more helpful or professional. He noted no order in system. Gave me the Fax# and I was able to call MD office and finally 12 min later they sent the order. Blood work completed. would use this Quest again! They were great! read more

I like knowing that when I need "blood work" for my Annual Wellness Visit those at Quest are reliable and approachable. I have great "looking" veins in my arms, however, they are hard and "roll." Every time I have explained this to the Plembotomist who is going to draw my blood, and explained what, in my experience, is the easiest, least painfull and most reliable way to procede, I have been listened to and have never had anybody treat me like, since they are the professionals, they must know more than me, and procede to poke and jab and take forever trying to do it "their way." I appreciate the respect I am given and the no-fuss, quick results I get at quest. They acknowledge that I probably know a whole lot more about the way my own veins work than them, since I am not a kid and have experienced long, drawn out, painful procedures in the past from those who are quick to assume that, since I am medially trained, they know more than I do about my own body, which is disrepectful and makes me angry, with burst veins which one person in the past, simply pushed on to get the blood to flow, causing me pain, humilliation and big bruises. read more

I have never been good with getting bloodwork and being pregnant I have needed quite a bit. There is no one who has made me feel more at ease throughout the process and even provide a few laughs than Rosa. I feel well taken care of, respected, and my concerns are heard. I truly cannot recommend anyone more especially for someone who gets anxious. read more

I always use this location for annual blood work. They are always prompt, friendly and efficient . I always make an appt online and it allows you to "cut the wait" at busy times. Today, in a rush to run several other errands before, I forgot my paperwork. They were able to easily pull it up in the computer and complete the blood work saving me a trip home to fetch it. I have used quest for lab test and blood work for over 20 years. Now upon entering, I am greeted by a freestanding kiosk to enter my number and personal information. This is as impersonal as it could get! If I wanted to be diagnosed or interact with a robot, I would have done so. I will never return to this location or any other so devoid of personal interaction from a service organization. read more

Very quick and professional! I thought I'd spend some time in the waiting room like usual but my name was called within 5 minutes

I showed up to this location 15 minutes past 11 AM. The facility closes at 12pm as listed online and on the door to enter. It was locked. I tried calling the number listed and was transferred to speak to a customer service representative, only to find that, that office was also closed. I fasted from midnight and arrived well before closing only to find the employees closed up shop 45 minutes early and was left with no one to contact about the matter. read more

I had to go again recently and they had trouble finding a vein. She offered me a room with what's called a butterfly chair which allows you to lay down and relax more. They were understaffed that day, but took me right away and got me out in time for me to get to work! read more

I opened the door to the Quest office on Hebron Ave, Glastonbury, CT, yesterday to find a Quest employee shouting at an elderly couple, probably in their 80s, who did not know how to use the computerized robot check-in. She was shouting at this poor couple (to what purpose, but to make them feel small?) and then when she finished yelling, pushed them into the the offices. Welcome to Quest!! My phlebotomist's style was of the other extreme: she assumed I knew what I had to do and where to go, no greeting, no niceties, no guidance. She had trouble entering my data into her computer so asked another woman to help her, who did so begrudgingly, letting the phlebotomist have it for troubling her, and snapping clipped questions at me. She was rude, testy, unprofessional...not what you'd expect in a medical office. Five vials of my blood needed to be drawn. As number 3 was proceeding the phlebotomist pushed the needle deeper into my vein causing unexpected pain and when I moved my arm in reaction, no apology was offered but she dislodged the needle and started again on the other arm. In the middle of this the other two women started a shouting match about hours worked right in the open doorway of the room where my blood was being taken. It was like having your blood drawn in middle of a madhouse! Surely the management should look into this. I'll never return! Stay away from this place....there's a professional Quest office a few miles away! read more
