Billing, and what amounts I guess to Customer Service, have insisted on the wrong narrative over and over. It seemingly is an organizational catastrophe over there, with no one able to not only solve problems for themselves, but solve between departments. (UPDATE) After several more weeks of dealing with this, I have reached a satisfactory resolution and my bill was zeroed out. However, this is after literally dozens of attempts with at least 4 different people in the office who said they were going to "forward this to the Lab Director" and receiving no follow-up. I managed to wheedle an email to said Lab Director, who actually wrote back and said, "Honestly, that is the first I've heard of this and after three or four more cc'd emails, it looked like it had been rectified..." Absolute, total, utter mismanagement by all parties at this operation.

The woman who works there is a fantastic phlebotomist. She always finds a vein, does the puncture and collects the blood quickly and efficiently. I almost never have a bruise and the bleeding stops quickly. I'm known to pass out but she gets it done so fast I never even have a chance. She's truly great and I'm a loyal patient even when the wait is like 45 minutes long. I recommend her to anyone!

She…read moreis calm and comforting and so helpful with suggestions for someone like me who has had some negative blood draw experiences. She recommended that I drink a lot of water before I arrive and she has a table where patients who tend to get light-headed can lie down during their blood draw. This has helped me so much! Now I don't dread blood tests anymore. I have had to go to a different ECHN lab (on Hartford Turnpike in Vernon) while this one was under renovations (until June 2018 I think) and it also went very well. I asked to lie down for my blood draw and was totally fine. The phlebotomist was another very pleasant person and I had a great experience there. I would highly recommend either of these ECHN outpatient labs.

While getting blood drawn is far from my favorite ways to pass time on a Saturday morning, I like that they're open on a Saturday. I have to fast prior to going, that's more doable on the weekend than during the week. In my reminder text I also received an exact location of the facility, not just the address. This was so helpful. The inside is a very clean waiting area with a check in kiosk. Here you can scan your Driver's License and insurance card. I waited around 10 minutes to be called. The phlebotomist was very kind and asked me where I'd like to get poked. I told her my right arm. It was a fast job, that I preferred not to look at. I was out of there within five minutes. It would have been nice if some water was provided, but I did have some in my car.

This place is spotless (it must have been recently renovated) They now have a completely automated check-in, which did cause me a bit of confusion (the staff didn't see that I checked in on their end, even though it showed up on my end). Regardless, they came and got me within five minutes. The person dealing with us was very nice and made the experience as smooth as possible. I got results the next day.

This is the second time this year last time he was 5 min late and the lady couldn't help answer questions and then when she finally asked what our question was she said that too late now your appointment expired. If you are not waiting in the lobby they are too busy and can't be bothered. Save some headache and aggravation, I'll go elsewhere.

I always make an appointment on line so I don't to wait when I arrive and as such they always have my information in the system. If you have an appointment and there are walk ins, you will be moved to the top of the list based on your appointment time. The phlebotomists are all extremely friendly and warm. They help make this horrible process of needles and drawing blood manageable and they are very nice. I've never had a bad experience here and because of the great service here, I don't dread my regular visits.

Everything is pretty much automated including check in, but I've just had a really tough time the past 2 visits with the attending staff having to try 3 to 4 pricks with the needle in both arms to get it drawn. After registration, the wait times are always reasonable, but vary, when there are several people in the waiting area. Once my name is called, the actual drawing takes less than two minutes, on average. I've never experienced any more than a mild "pinch" sensation when they insert the needle, and far more often, feel nothing at all with any of the many phlebotomists that have drawn my blood over the ten years I've been coming here. I just can't watch while they insert the needle in my arm. Makes me very queasy. I'm usually in and out within 20 minutes, and I think that's a very reasonable amount of time.

Although they are extremely limited in their services, I was always satisfied with their care and level of professionalism. I was seen this time bc I saw a Hartford HealthCare provider at their Day Hill Rd office on Friday and I'm 3 days into med protocol with no improvement. Yet I was still asked why I was there and what I wanted, like what? I gave examples of medical and prescription history that should be in my file, as I've been a patient of Hartford Healthcare for decades now. Not only was there no type of bedside manner, you could just say all the vibes were wayyy off. I have never experienced such a combative provider and such defensive staff. I shudder to think what would have happened if I would have allowed this provider's gaslighting to convince me that I was ok or just need to wait it out. If you have ever experienced struggling to breathe, you know how terrifying that can feel; especially when I'm still very much struggling 3 days in on a 5 day prescription. Hartford Healthcare has lost me as a patient and if you need evidence of America's broken healthcare system, look no further than this conglomerate. I would rather just go to the ER and burn my time and money, with the hope of being treated with some sort of decency than risk an experience like this again!
