Second time here to get my blood drawn for my cholesterol and even though I still absolutely hate this place and what they do, I appreciate the kindness and comfort the vampires provide during this difficult time for me. Not sure the name of the young lady I had this visit and hard to judge her facial expression due to the current apocalypse, but we managed to bond over her fear of frogs (I have several in my fish tank) and our fear of spiders. I'm sure she was annoyed by my constant nonsense chatter as she tried to do her thing but I appreciate she conversed a little and made the experience more bearable. In the end this whole process is less painful than getting poked by something at work or even the finger poke I'll get 6-months from now at the doctors office, but I can't for the life of my get over drawing blood. I still absolutely hate it, but glad the staff here makes me comfortable. Good job again and thanks for the support. read more

We are so happy that we made the choice to come to this place! In and out in less than 10 minutes. Staff was very welcoming and friendly and had a sense of humor. Very clean and quieter tahn Pavillian. Felt more private. Pavillian is hreat dont get me wrong but this place is probably our new favorite place to get our blood work. read more

I walked in today (Thurs) at 8am (was unable yesterday to make an appointment for this morning apparently because all the morning appointments were booked) but received immediate assistance from Jill who helped me sign in and pay for my lab tests. I was in for a pregnancy blood sugar/glucose test, so I had to wait an hour to have my blood drawn, but was given the glucose test (orange) liquid to drink immediately upon checking in with Jill so I did not have to waste any time waiting beyond the one hour mandatory waiting period for the glucose test. Jill was extremely efficient, professional and courteous, addressing me as "Mrs. ___" the whole time and expressing sincere appreciation for my military service. I felt treated like a VIP and cannot recall receiving service as outstanding as Jill's in a very long time. My experience this morning was phenomenal and I highly recommend the Quest Diagnostics lab located at 450 Kings County Drive, Hanford, CA. Thank you again, and Merry Christmas, Jill! read more

I normally have good experience at Quest in Hanford but today I had a phlebotomist I've never seen there before and I wish I had stopped her... I could tell she was doing things that may cause adverse affects and sure enough, she blew the vein on my left arm. Prior to the blood draw, she was coughing and kept touching her face/wiping her nose with hand while inputting data and then handing back my insurance card to me. Gross... but the real problem is her aggressive blood draws. She stabbed me really fast and it felt deep, then when she wasn't getting enough, she starts repeatedly pushing on my skin around needle. I've never had anyone do that. I knew right away it was going to cause problems... Then she realizes she's not getting enough so she tells me she has to stop because it's going to clot. she switches to the other arm and again a painful aggressive fast stab. She finishes and sends me on my way, but the draw sites are still painful hours later. When I arrived home, I checked the left side and there was a raised blood bump forming along with bruising. I've had my blood drawn many many times and get labs frequently, and I've never had anyone blow a vein. I'm still in pain in both arms. I tried calling Quest to let them know, but of course you can't talk to a human there. Beware of the short grey haired lady. I didn't get her name but she had her hair pulled back in a low ponytail. If they ever try to give me her again, I will be letting them know that she will not be doing my draws and that she is unsafe. Check your employees skill levels Quest. I have always had good luck coming here. I just look away when they draw the blood and, thank you, they are finished before I have much time to think about it. I just talk to the nurse while she is drawing the blood and it goes faster that way. Don't mind it too much. Very nice staff. read more

In my opinion the staff at this Quest are either untrained or uneducated. I use an Urologist in Hanford and my lab work has to be at Quest even though I live in Porterville and my primary doctor is in Porterville. I had to make a trip to Hanford to pick up the lab sheet and so I just made a reservation at Hanford Quest to get my lab work done the same day. I have United Health Care insurance and they are contracted with Quest all over the country. However, after waiting I was finally called into the lab room. The technician was taking all of my information and she kept staring at my insurance card. Then she excused herself and said she would be right back. After several minutes she came back in and said they couldn't accept my insurance because my primary doctor was in Porterville and she told me I would have to go to Sierra View Lab in Porterville to get the lab work done. My Urologist only uses Quest. I told her that I have gone to Quest in Tulare a couple of times and there was never a problem. I asked if I could call my insurance provider to clarify and she told me I would have to go back outside and then get in line again. I just left and made an appointment with Quest in Tualre and they took care of me without any problems. Hanford Quest should be ashamed for causing me so much inconvenience when the entire situation was there fault and they would not give me the chance to clarify. read more

A month ago I had the best experience with my autistic daughter. The staff was so friendly and help greatly with my daughter. We had an appointment at 7:15 and got in fast and easy. This morning We had a 7:15 appointment with her again. She needed her blood drawn before 8. I pre registered and check in while I was getting out of the car. We get to the door and wait outside for about 8 minutes. The lady that came to the door asked for the paperwork and insurance cards. When I handed her the Tricare she asked for an ID or benefits card. Both my kids don't have ID card or benefits card. They just have a Tricare card that says their name. Their insurance is through their dad and he lives in another state. I told her no I have never needed one in all the 15 years my kids have had Tricare. Well she refused to see my daughter because I didn't have this card. I know all of my ex husbands info and was willing to give it like I did at the appointment a month ago. She wouldn't look up any information for me regarding billing about my daughter. I never received a bill so Tricare got billed and paid. I have the EOB. I had to find another place to take my daughter which didn't happen because 8 AM came. So this place is good but it depends on the staff member you get. read more
