I called several times to Quest customer service to know how much my out of pocket cost was going to be for the labs my nurse practitioner order for me, they told me to buy the tests online going to requestatest.com because other wise was goin to be $1,800. I also request an email the website of quest has with prices. Then I decided to go to the Leesburg clinic, Michel one of the lab technicians was so attentive and nice and checked on the computer and told me it was going to be $347.23 my out of pocket cost since I didn't have medical insurance. And even wrote it in a paper for me. So I decided to make my appointment for next day since I needed to be fasting. The only place that had an appointment available was Manassas, so I drove there and checked in. They called me and before they were going to take the blood sample I asked again how much was going to be she told me $1,800 . And I said no I was told it was $347.93 and she said my doctor had not submitted a stamp that they required but I asked my nurse practitioner and she said she did! But the lady told me it was better to go online and buy the test in the website request a test.com --- so I did I ended up paying more than $800.00 when I visited my nurse practitioner she printed me the test lab request with the prices and yes it was $337.43. SO PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION AND THE LADY WITH LONG BLACK HAIR LATINA I CALLED Quest AND THEY TREAT ME LIKE I WAS AN IDIOT, SAYING MY BILLING ISSUES ARE NOT WITH THEM OF COURSE I KNOW THAT PAYING A 3rd PARTY MAKES THEM NOT RESPONSIBLE AT ALL FOR THE CHARGES BUT I WANT THEM TO STOP DOING THIS TO PEOPLE...I called to report this lady, they need that she stop making patients spend more money than they need tOo, also the people at their call center doing the same! I showed up for a walk in appt knowing that scheduled appts are seen first & I was perfectly fine with this. I was there to have blood drawn for Blueprint Wellness for my husband's job. Something we have been doing for 8 yrs without any issues, until today. 15 mins after I arrived another patient arrived as a walk in. The lab tech asked her what her name was & did she have an appt. The lady said no I'm a walk in & the tech takes her back. The lady was in and out and 30 mins later I'm still sitting, so when the lab tech opened the door again I explained that I too was a walk in & why was a lady that showed up as a walk in 15 mins after me, taken back before me? The tech said "I don't know what to tell you". She then addresses a room of approx 15 patients & says "patients who have appts are taken back first and then walkins are taken back, maybe worry about yourself instead of worrying about why other patients are called back!!". 15 mins later she takes me back & tells me my order isn't in the system an to call a number & come back later. I had the order & said the order is right here with all my info on it along with what labs you are to draw that I've been doing this for 8 yrs this exact way & now it's a problem. So I call my husband & tell him she claims she can't do it, just had his lab work done 2 was ago & had no issues. He said he didn't understand & she heard him & proceeds to toss her papers in the air, grab a drink & huffs & puffs & says "I'm not lieing. & there is nothing I can do & I dont know what to tell you. I tell her that there was NO reason to be as rude as she was being, that it's fairly obvious that she was still irritated that I wanted to know why a lady was called back that showed up after me & didn't like being called out, so this was nothing more than her refusing to draw my blood. 1 other patients walked out also due to this lab techs attitude. I ended up leaving as well and told her that if she hates her job that much that maybe finding another profession would be better. Her attitude was extremely poor, she treated patients with no respect, she was the rudest person I had ever dealt with. I filed several complaints against her today as soon as I arrived home. She is a Hispanic lab tech, young and you can't miss her because she never, not once smiled & it was obvious she didn't want to be there. She absolutely has no business working with patients who already don't feel well and has to deal with getting stuck by someone who will stick you just to get back at you. On Saturday I had the pleasure of visiting Quest to give blood so I could save some money on my annual insurance. I brought my daughter with me to show her how brave I could be while giving blood. Little did I know that the nurse was going to draw a single vial in the most painful way ever. It is now Tuesday, 4 days after giving one tube of blood and I am bruised and in pain to the touch. I will say, the nurse was nice and did a good job with everything else, but I won't be coming back next year. The two stars is for the water machine in the lobby my daughter loved and that the nurse was nice. I gave blood to the Red Cross a few weeks ago and the needle prick was the only mark left behind. read more

Too bad we can't leave rotten eggs or tomatoes instead of a star. They deserve no stars at all. Husband went in to get bloodwork WITH an appointment, arrived 10 minutes EARLY and was seated. An hour later with people walking in, and getting called after waiting for 10 minutes, he inquires on why its taking so long. They say that one of their machines is down. Could they have MAYBE mentioned this? He waited TWO HOURS, still fasting and feeling faint at this point, got angry and finally gave up and left. The staff was cold, rude, uncaring and unprofessional. Trying to call them is hopeless, you get a lot of messages about covid and then the system finally tells you to go online. We will have to drive to Lorton to get the draw done in order to avoid this DUMP. read more

Today Quest Diagnostics, lost my prescription and had me recall to get another order faxed over to which nurses were very surly. The order was in their system and they did not bother to check. Completely unprofessional. Also racist. The nurse who works there asked my mom why she didn't know the policies because the nurse thought my mom worked at this place, and then realized there's a woman my mom kinda looked like (they look nothing alike). Um, my mom doesn't work at this place. This place has had a couple of facelifts overtime. Not a place I enjoy coming. If you have to get blood drawn however, most doctors use this spot. It has been hit or miss for me. Sometimes the nurses are very friendly and accommodating for people who aren't good with needles. Other times they are rough and I've had bruising for weeks. The wait times are terrible. You'll be there forever so get there early especially if you're fasting. read more

The technician I saw was cold and seemed irritated with me from the moment she called me back. She used a large 21g straight needle on my arm and hit the nerve so hard I screamed. She did not apologize or ask how my arm was feeling when I left. This was the most unforgiving part. I know she didn't intentionally try to botch the venipuncture, but she hurt one of her patients and showed no remorse or care. When she removed the needle, I opened and close my fist to make sure she hadn't paralyzed me. She snapped at me "don't move your hand!" This was wrong. She lacerated the nerve. It's been three days and my arm is in so much pain still. I can't move it up or down without feeling pins and needles and electric zaps in my hand, and the whole arm feels like a cramp. As I'm writing this now I'm in tears because it's so painful. I know this is going to take 6weeks to a 3 months to recover. I tried calling the location and no answer. read more

Waited two weeks for a tube they had to order, never received the phone call they were supposed to make when the tube arrived, called several times during the week and rang until voicemail and of course their voicemail is full. Every time I've walked in no one was ever at the "reception area." Some business management advice hire a damn receptionist full time since they cannot answer their phones, clear their voicemails, or call people back when it's a torn sensitive test. Conveniently at the end of the day they do answer and it just so happened the tube arrived today when they said it would only take 5-7 days for the tube to arrive. Extremely disappointing service I stopped by the Quest Lab at Hunters Woods Safeway Store today at 12:30 for my flu shot. No one else in waiting room, after about 5-10 minute, an employee finally came out of back office and asked why I was there. "Flu Shot" I responded. She indicated OK and went into the back, over the next 30-40 minutes, the waiting room grew with other customers. The Lab technicians at this facility go above and beyond to get you back in a timely fashion. They are very friendly and know what they are doing. Sadly I am at Quest Diagnostics on a monthly basis for bloodwork. Without a scheduled appointment, it can be hit or miss on how long I am there. I try to always make appointments in advance for Saturday mornings. By doing so, I am in and out in roughly 25 minutes. The staff is very polite and efficient, the phlebotomists are really good at what they do, and with my terrible veins they listen to me when I tell them where they are going to strike gold. I've noticed other places get annoyed when I tell them they are going to have to tap into my hand, but not here. They are fully aware that I've had these veins my whole life and I know which ones are going to be a success. They make a generally unpleasant experience one to smile about. But seriously, get online and make an appointment, you will thank yourself later. read more

I had read some bad reviews from 2009, but decided to give this place a chance since it is now 2012 and I'm sure staff has turned over since then. I was pleasantly surprised. There was only one person waiting ahead of me. I had an appointment very early in the morning, 7:15. My appointment was for a blood draw for an infant and so I was prepared to leave if I was not happy (i.e. if they had to stick him more than once, or if I felt uncomfortable). They saw us pretty much immediately. They only had to stick him once. It was quick and easy. I was in and out in about 15-20 minutes. 10 of which were because of a diaper change that required a complete wardrobe change. And everyone was very, very nice! read more
