I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel like people should know what my experience was. I went to GoWell Urgent Care twice over a three-week period for severe abdominal cramping and persistent diarrhea. During my first visit I was prescribed an antibiotic that didn't help. When my symptoms continued, I returned and was prescribed a different antibiotic and asked to submit a stool sample. I dropped off the sample and then spent the next 10 days waiting for results while continuing to have significant symptoms. During that time I called the office at least four times. Each time I was told someone would call me back, but no one ever did. The only guidance I received was to drink more water, stop taking Imodium, and stop following the BRAT diet by avoiding bananas and applesauce. After 10 days and multiple follow-up calls, I was finally told that my stool sample had been lost or the results couldn't be obtained, and I was asked to come back and repeat the test. By that point, I had spent weeks feeling miserable while relying on the office for answers that never came. I understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of communication and follow-up was the most frustrating part. If you need treatment for a minor illness, this office may be fine. But if you have an ongoing or more complicated medical issue that requires follow-up, test results, and communication, I would recommend looking elsewhere. read more

We made an appointment yesterday and we're able to be seen today. We paid for the visit and were told costs upfront so there were no surprises. Every staff member was courteous and friendly. The nurse practitioner took a lot of time with us, asking questions and really listening to our concerns. We were very pleased with the quality of care. read more

A sore throat sent me to GoWell for a Covid/Flu test to rule them out. I was able to make an appointment for a couple of hours later, came back, got the tests and results in an hour. Just a virus. Very capable and friendly staff. Sophia and Lindsey were great. Will absolutely use again. read more

Came here over the summer for a COVID test as a precaution prior to traveling. I made an appointment with them and was told where to wait in my car for them to come out and do the test. They also said the PCR test was 100% covered - no cost to me. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment and called the number as directed. They came out within about 15 minutes to take my insurance information. There was no one in front of me. Then they left me sitting in my car in over 90 degree weather with the sun hitting me right in the face for over AN HOUR. Finally, someone pulled up behind me so when they came to take their insurance I flagged someone down to ask what was taking so long to just stick a swab up my nose. Finally, someone came. The procedure took 30 seconds for which I had by now been there close to an hour and a half. They told me that if it was positive I would get a call, negative I would get an email. Well, I got an email saying to log onto some medical record site I had never used to get my results. No call, so I figured I was good and left on my trip. Well, that night, after I had already driven out of town, I got a call. They messed up my sample somehow and I needed to go somewhere else to get another test. So after all that effort I still didn't get a result. For the privilege of not getting a result, and what sparked this review, I just got a bill from them in the mail for $30!!!!! And apparently they charged my insurance about $280 dollars for it too! For the privilege of sitting in a hot car for an hour and a half and getting nothing for it I have to pay them???? NEVER AGAIN. read more

This USED TO be the go to for my very active, but accident prone family. Once the place switched/sold/changed hands it all went down hill. This is very disappointing as this was once the place I would tell people to go to and now I tell them to stay away from. The wait times have become pretty long even though there does not seem to be a lot of people around. The last time we were there, there was a sign at the bathroom saying you had to ask for a key to use the bathroom. I was misdiagnosed (sinus, upper respiratory stuff) and given the wrong medicines which made me worse and I ended up in the ER. I was given two meds that should not be given together and my heart rate went through the roof. My daughter tore her ACL. They said it was nothing too serious, gave her a brace that they put on backwards and told her to ice it. Thankfully we "just knew" it was more serious and got it checked out again as soon as the ortho could see her. So even though it is much closer for us we now skip this place and go to Gainsville if we need an urgent care. The changes have been night and day. So sad. Go somewhere different. read more

Horrible service and a money grab. They will not see anyone with a fever unless they're tested for flu, COVID, and strep prior to coming in for an evaluation. Regardless of your present symptoms and current vaccination status. Not sure how this is viable patient care and putting the patients needs first. Seems like it's more important to bill the insurance company for as many test as possible instead of actually evaluating the patient and testing accordingly. As a parent it's important to advocate for your child and it's also important to not allow someone to unessessarily swab and poke on a child. We all know this will cause a great deal of emotion, stress and fear of doctors going forward. read more

I made a reservation for a specific time on the weekend vs. doing walk in. We waited an hour to be seen so ended up spending an hour 20 min total. They were not busy when we arrived. The NP was very apologetic, friendly and gave my daughter a thorough exam. I asked her if she was the only primary care (doc/NP) in the building and she said yes. I had to go out and ask the nurses when we would be seen after waiting so long in the exam room. My customer service suggestion is for the nurses to communicate if care is delayed due to "an unexpected complication." The nurses were standing around chatting so they had the time to do this. My time is as valuable and I have a lot of options of places to go so communication will go a long way to help so I don't have to ask. We normally use Patient First because it is always well staffed with more than one primary provider and they offer X-ray and prescriptions turnkey. The pharmacies in Warrenton take forever to fill a basic prescription. However, I do want to support Go Well and it is closer and more convenient than Gainesville since I live in Warrenton. I will give them another chance to get some history for better staffing for volume, improve communications etc. Their receptionists are excellent communicators so this is a great plus. Go Well, please communicate with patients waiting for an extended period of time and make sure your weekend staffing can handle the volume. When I left there were four people in the waiting room and they were already running an hour behind. read more

My husband and I have made several appointments here when we've been unable to see our primary care doctors. Their appointment system is horrendous. If you select a 12:15 pm appointment for example, you're not seen until well after 1 pm. We've never had an appointment that's started on time - that's when it's busy or when it's slow. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. It's not worth the hassle of sitting in your car, wondering if they've forgotten about you. read more

I absolutely loved the doctor and nurse who treated me for my wasp sting in August 2020 , but their billing needs to be improved. I received a bill in December that said I wasn't covered for anything. Turns out, the lady who checked me in used my prescription number. I was assured it would be fixed. Got another bill in Feb. Went back a 2nd time and was told it wasn't ever resubmitted. It is now April, and I got another bill. They never fixed the new patient fee. read more

This place is great. People are great. They are friendly. They care. Took my daughter there for a physical for sports for HIGH SCHOOL! omg. This team of Urgent Care Players were quick, efficent, and they communicated to my daughter...not me. She was the customer and they addressed her as such. I can't even go into detail of how they treated me/the mother. I got advice for my daughter and Myself!! I was given a small list of doctors for any of my needs and my daughter, because, being 14, she can see the same doctor. So, now, I'll make a couple calls and check these references out and see what comes of it. read more

This is THE place to go for pop-up medical issues in the Warrenton area. You will be seen quickly, and not left in an ER room for an hour or two without human contact. I have been here on several occasions now, and the issues were addressed properly each time. Last month, I was in a car accident and needed to self-transport to get my back and neck checked. I went here first to see if they had the proper equipment to treat me. Without ever signing in, they pulled the doctor from the back who advised me that the CAT scans at the hospital would be necessary. The doctor spent about 5 minutes talking to me, was compensated nothing for it, and did not rush me out the door which she very well could have done. If you feel the need to go to the ER, it is worth checking with Urgent Care first to see if you can save the time and additional copay that comes with an ER visit. read more

I have come here once to take a COVID test and everything went well, but once both my SPANISH parents came, they treated them differently. They asked for my email when I came but didn't ask for theirs. They told me they would call me and they did but it wasn't fifteen minutes, it was an hour. As for my parents, they never called, we had to call them. In this situation, it feels like they were being discriminated against because of language barriers, but no one should ever treat someone else different because of that. read more

I brought my daughter there a week or so ago. She had bronchitis. The staff was very nice very kind. In and out with no trouble.

I came to Warrenton for a visit and had to come here due to an injury. I gave them my insurance information and specifically asked if they took my insurance. I explained to them that I would go to the ER down the road if they didn't take my insurance. They looked up my card information against their system and told me they took my insurance. Six months later they are now demanding full payment on services rendered because insurance denied claim due to the fact that they actually do not participate with my insurance carrier. The lady demanding payment admitted that they were denied by the insurance because they are not an Urgent Care but a doctor's office! Avoid the headache. Do not go here if you need emergency care! The local hospital ER is maybe 5 miles away and there is not a long 5-6 hr wait like some other area hospitals. read more

Quick service. Saw the nurse practitioner. Was diagnosed with strep without receiving strep test, just a quick visual check of the throat. Prescribed antibiotic. Concerned with the diagnosis I was able to see my primary 2 hours later. Conducted rapid strep test which came back negative. Told to rest and treat with OTC medicines if necessary. Felt better within 24 hours. In my opinion, dangerous to prescribe antibiotics without some type of diagnostic testing. I will not return. read more

I really prefer going to Urgent Care verses going to my family doctor. I have seen Dr.Breed a few times and every time she amazes me! She is very personable and really seems to care, which I absolutely love. The doctor who I have been seeing makes me feel like I'm a waste of her time. The doc rarely speaks a few nods and I'm on my way. Where Dr.Breed takes an extra second to get all the facts and my life style. I greatly recommend her and urgent care. And the receptionists were super nice and made me feel comfortable. Love love this place and the staff!! read more

We recently visited the Warrenton Urgent Care and were pleasantly surprised by how wonderful the experience was. We were expecting a long wait time, but the wait was only about 35 minutes on a Saturday. Not bad, right? I have waited longer for scheduled appointments at other clinics. The nurse and nurse practitioner were also very polite and friendly. I would highly recommend this urgent care for those times when you can't be seen by your family physician. They also took our insurance, so it cost nothing for the visit. I would highly recommend this urgent care. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. John and NP Annette. Always had a good experience (including Dr. John himself calling me the day after to see how I was doing), and today was particularly notable. Went in with a sick five-year-old right before closing time. They didn't rush me, and they did a strep test which came back postive. My kid is really bad with taking medicine, so NP Annette pulled out the big pharmacy book to see what chewable antibiotics were available, AND she called the pharmacy I was planning to go to to make sure they had the chewable antibiotic on hand before I went out there. That was not something she was required to do, and it was really meaningful. (Note that the owner and staff there now are TOTALLY different than the urgent care place that was at that location a few years ago. Night and day difference between the two.) read more

Went in for a TB test in January, asked how much it would be upfront and was told $35. Paid $35 got the test and left. Weeks later get a bill for $124.00 for the TB test. Called and talked to the receptionist and was told that it was a mistake and to not worry they would dismiss the charge. Now I get another bill for $124, call the office to ask why and they don't know anything. Like what the heck. I wouldn't recommend anyone go here. What a SCAM read more

I hurt myself at work today - I slipped and face-planted on a very solid piece of wood and ended up here with a huge laceration. I met Dr. Jeffries (not relation - that I know of - to the doctor of Child Health Associates). He and his staff immediately put me at ease. The most painful part of the procedure was the local anesthetic - to stitch up my face - by Dr. Jeffries put me at ease by telling me that it was okay for me to fuss. Not that I needed to anyway - a couple shots and I was completely numb. He stitched me up and we had a great conversation about his dogs and mine (we both have puggies). Just the perfect doctor with the perfect bedside manner! I had 3 internal and 8 external stitches - and I was taken great care of by Dr. Jeffries and his staff. It's weird to say - but if I get sick or injured on the evenings or weekend, I hope Dr. Jeffries is there to care for me! Highly recommend! read more

Everyone was super friendly, the doctor was knowledgeable and efficient, and they followed up in every way they said they would. Watch out! This is not the Warrenton Urgent Care of the past. They were Sold to Privia Medical Group. After tripping and falling, hitting my shoulder on a metal surface so hard that it brought tears to my eyes with lingering pain, I went straight to Warrenton Urgent Care because I thought that I may have broken something and they have an xray machine. The medical tech took all the information about the injury, and had me wait for the Nurse Practitioner. After about 15 min the Nurse Practitioner came in, asked me nothing about my injury, did not look at my injury, did not touch me. She handed me 3 pieces of paper, told me that I had injured my rotator cuff (handout about rotator cuff injuries was one paper), to take prednisone (Rx was the 2nd paper), alternate heat and cold(instructions was the 3rd paper), and it should get better in a few days. DIDN'T even ask about how the injury occurred. DIDN'T ask me to remove my sweater to look at the injury....DIDN'T try to palpate or see what the range of motion was....DIDN'T X-ray for precaution. I left the clinic in tears and pain....ended up at my orthopedics office a week later who did take an xray, palpated, and checked range of motion. Luckly it was not a serious injury (also not a rotator cuff injury). I will not be going back to Warrenton Urgent Care now that they have changed hands. There are other urgent care centers in town. It is not the same caring and compassionate office that it used to be. read more

I can't say enough about this particular Urgent Care. My doctors office was closed and I needed some Urgent Care. I did not have to wait, the receptionist was considerate and the doctor was amazing!!!! She was very professional and actually made eye contact and listened to me. I definitely am going back if another health issue arises. read more

Nurse Sally Markell is the worst nurse I have ever encountered in my entire life. She is the most unprofessional and rude nurse. She kept me and my daughter waiting for 30 while she "got a bite" and said too bad because it is a clinic and we did not have an appointment. Then when we left they were planning lunch? She must eat a lot. She was checking my daughter's eye WITHOUT GLOVES on. She argued with me even though I told her I was not getting into it with her, not once, but twice. She kept emphasizing that it was a clinic, implying if we want better service go see a real doctor. We have been to this clinic many times and the staff and nurses have been super fabulous every time! So call before you go and make sure this nurse is not working. read more

My father-in-law was ill and rather then going to the ER and waiting for hours my husband brought him to Warrenton Urgent Care. The nurse was taking him to the bathroom when the doctor stopped him in the bathroom and asked a few questions, took his pulse and told my husband he belonged at the ER. My husband thanked him and took him to the ER. We would have thought it was great EXCEPT my father inlaw got a bill for almost $200!!!!! For asking a couple questions in the bathroom??? How can you charge for a doctor visit when you didn't even examine him? We'll be contacting medicare!! read more

So, I went to another Urgent Care first on Saturday. I had been sleeping and I felt a bug bite me on my nose. Thinking it had to be that kissing bug that is in the news, and having been left with a bleeding mark just above my nose, I went to an urgent care where I live. I was made fun of and told bug bites heal, etc. I called my neighbor and asked what to do. I read that u need an antibiotic when bitten by the kissing bug. I didn't see the bug close up, only fly off after it bit me, but I really believe that kind of bug bit me. It was painful and woke me up, and was painful after as well. My neighbor is a nurse and she told me to go to Warrenton Urgent Care. What a difference. They didn't treat me like I was stupid for going in. They suspected too it was the kissing bug. They didn't call my bite a "scratch" like the other place did, and they apologized for how I was treated at the other place. They were kind, understanding, and explained what they wanted me to do, and what they were prescribing. The last words Lisa said to me were "Don't be a stranger." What a lovely thing to say. I'm not a doctor person, but when I need one, will go there. Everyone should be treated with respect and dignity, and they did that at Warrenton Urgent Care. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place! I am usually a very healthy person, really only require the annual physical but unfortunately I had to visit this facility three times in a month for two separate issues; had to wait all 3 times no more than 15 or 20 minutes. The first time my provider was Lisa Provance. She quickly diagnosed my blood pressure related symptoms and actually took the time to personally discuss with me the stress related incidents that were causing them and prescribed a temporary prescription to alleviate the symptoms. The second visit with her was for an upper/lower respiratory infection that started; again very quickly determined the situation and prescribed the appropriate meds for what it was at the time. 9 out of 10 times that prescribed antibiotic fixed it over the last 20 years. The third was a visit with Lisa Vannoy, the infection had turned into a very nasty bout of pneumonia (I almost went to the ER but glad I didn't!) so a better antibiotic was required. She also took the time to actually talk to me, I didn't feel like I was being rushed out. Since I had drug interaction questions when I got home after the visit, I logged into the patient portal to ask them; Dr. Vannoy actually CALLED me back to answer them! I was stunned at the customer service! I had additional questions two weeks later and entered them into the portal (because pneumonia doesn't go away quickly) and she again called me back to address my questions.
