Today was my first visit at this location and I was a walk-in for a blood test. I am always a "hard stick" because I have very tiny veins. After fasting for 12 hours, I was really dreading the 10-15 painful pokes & sticks. But no...Adriana (spelling ?) "got me" the very FIRST time! Wow! Do want to alert that there is no one at the sign-in booth. Instead there's a stand-up computer tablet at the booth with clear and easy instructions. It's a 5 star from me. read more

Went into room to have blood drawn a very unpleasant tech started with making sure my name was correct, etc. When she tried to draw blood, she could not find the vein in my arm and started twisting the needle from one side to the other, pushed it further in and then started bringing the needle out slower. I had had enough of her trying to play pen the tail on the donkey with a needle in my arm. I asked her to take the needle out. She then comes back with a kit that you use when you start an IV. I told her I was leaving and I left. I always drink tons of water before going to get blood work. This was not the first time this has happened at Quest on Granada. I will never go back there again. The attitude of the person trying to take my blood was horrible. Plus the overall lack of simple courtesy is not part of their training I don't believe. Horrible customer service. I had an appointment for bloodwork last week. They were supposed to send me home with a stool kit. They didn't. I come in explained the situation & said i was supposed to get a stool kit. She said i had to schedule an appointment for a toilet hat and cup... Had used this lab on Granada for years. Most recently I made an appointment for November well in advance. Weeks later, they cancelled me. So I went back to website and saw they were having a temporary closure, so I made another appointment. 2 weeks later, they cancelled that one as well and extended the "closed" dates. It is now November and they are still closed. I phoned the headquarters and they promised to call me back to let me know the story with Granada Blvd. location, but I only got silence. Let's hope they don't make the closure permanent because driving to Daytona is a PIA. read more

The company eliminated front office staff so the customers and lab workers have to do everything. Might work if you enjoy dealing with a kiosk, but not good for most people who need lab work or the people who work here. Having an appointment undoubtedly helps, but it's still ridiculous that they are so overbooked and, according to numerous other customers who were they when we were, routinely run 30-45 minutes behind schedule. It's not the workers it's the company. They really should provide restrooms and drinking water considering how backed up they get. read more

If I had the option to put zero stars I would. I made an appointment, arrived on time, waited patiently to get my blood work done. When I went back the lady was nice at first until I handed her my paperwork. From there she was extremely unprofessional and very rude to me. She cursed multiple times, slammed things around, mumbled under her breath, even called my primary care office and started to curse them out afterwards because she didn't understand what one of the tests on my paperwork was for. Instead of nicely recommending me to call my healthcare professional to get it figured out she was rude and nasty. I was honestly afraid for her to poke me, and she didn't do that nice either. I will never return. That was my first time getting my blood work done and I was already nervous and she made the experience worse. If you don't like your job and caring for people leave. Arrogant beyond belief! Signed in to drop off a sample and the screen showed a waiting period of 8 minutes and I was number 3 on the list. After 20 minutes, I checked out the screen and was now fourth on the list with an new wait time of 12 minutes. When a tech appeared to call the next person, I mentioned that I simply wanted to drop off a urine sample and was told they would get to me. After 35 minute wait, I was now 5 in line with a projected wait time of 14 minutes. Again a tech appeared and announced to the eight people in the room, "UNLESS YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WE WILL BE UNABLE TO GET TO YOU TODAY." Unless you have the time to sit and WAIT, and WAIT, and WAIT, avoid this business. Life is too short!!! read more

HANDS DOWN the BEST location! I typically steer clear of Quest for labs, but this morning I went to the ormond location and I must say I am extremely impressed with their service! My appt was at 7:45 I was seen and done by 8:07am. The nurse in Room 1, I cant remember her name, but it start with a 'J'. I am a hard stick and my blood comes out very slow, but not with her! Once again I am very disappointed with the service at the Quest location. I checked in after my Dr. appointment at 2:00 on Friday afternoon. My name came up first on the screen as the only appointment waiting. they took three people before me and then, after I waited an hour, informed me that they would not have time to do my blood test that day. I would have to return. I will go the additional 3 miles to the Daytona location, much better service there. read more

Everyone's always writing bad reviews about this place and bitching when I go in there. But if you actually take the time to make an appointment show up on time they get you in within a half an hour. Just like any doctors office. Almost any place to make an appointment for your not walking in right at 12 o'clock on the dock if that's what time your appointment is. Every time I've ever gone there everyone has been very friendly. They're all under stress because of how nasty everybody always is coming in now. I cannot believe the way some of these patients talk to these women. I was there today with my 15-year-old son. I cannot tell you how amazing the three women that were working in the office were. My son went into a full-fledged panic attack and was almost passing out because he has such a phobia of needles. Everyone in there was amazing. You have no idea what these people deal with on a daily basis. They were so compassionate and kind. My son was extremely embarrassed and they were wonderful to him! Great staff! read more

I don't know why they have so many bad reviews but I received a job offer from Delta and was given only 48 hours to do a drug urine test at a Quest so I freaked out. I showed up at this location at 6:31AM (they opened at 6:30) and there were already 10 people lined up in front of me. We all checked in on the iPads and our names went up on a screen with estimated wait times. I was seen and out of the door by 7:30AM. I was NOT expecting that- I thought it would be hours before I was able to even get seen. These employees worked hard and fast and I greatly appreciated it!!! I highly recommend this location- just make sure to get there before they open (to wait outside in the line) if you're a walk-in!!! read more

I made an appointment online I got there 20 minutes early I tried to check in it said it couldn't find my appointment so the lady came out and I asked her. She said I was too early and couldn't check in yet So I sat down and watched about five people come in behind me and check in for a 740 appointment so I went back up and tried to check in It wouldn't find my appointment. So at 7:30 she came back out and I asked her and then she told me that all their appointments were deleted and that they are triple booked and that I would just have to sign in and take a number so now about 15 people have come in ahead of me since I was there and they have no appointment for me and I'm holding a slip printed from the computer that shows my time and date for my appointment and she will not honor it. She was rude horrible customer service this place should not even be in business. I had to go to work so I left. read more

Made an appointment for 2 weeks out to have blood drawn for a lab test to test for metal allergies. Since quest doesn't provide this type testing, the lab in Chicago that does sent the supplies. Since quest doesn't have any human interaction when scheduling an appointment, I couldn't inquire if they would be able to assist. I arrived at my appointment time, checked in on the mobile app and received a text to come in. I entered the waiting room and saw my name at the top of a list with a 2 minute wait time. 20 minutes later, that was changed to a 3 minute wait time. I was finally called back, albeit 35 minutes later, and was told by the rude lady working there that they wouldn't draw my blood, then she suggested I draw it myself at home. I asked her if she could build herself a house since that's what I know how to do and she told me not to get smart with her in a threatening manner. Absolutely horrible customer service and one of the rudest people I've dealt with in a very long time. read more

On December 8, 2021, Quest technician who drew my blood stated emphatically that Medicare would not pay for my PSA test, because I had not waited one year from my last PSA test. I was told I had two options: Cancel the appointment, or get the bloodwork but pay for the PSA test myself. I contacted Medicare and was informed that my last PSA test was more than a year prior to my current appointment. Moreover, Medicare informed me that since my last previous test was on December 7, 2020, Medicare would pay for a PSA test AT ANY TIME IN DECEMBER OF 2021. The technician was very rude while providing me with this incorrect information, and in forcing me to choose between cancelling my appointment or paying for a test that was eligible for Medicare coverage. read more

Quest Diagnostics will not answer their phone (I called multiple times and was told in person that they do not answer the phone) , so it's impossible to get information prior to (or after) an appointment. I went in and was told that my insurance would not cover the test I need (they have no idea what insurance I have--didn't ask). All of this could have been cleared up prior to my appointment if they would answer their phone like all other businesses. I find the company statement above about social distancing and protection of their patients untrue at this location. While Quest requires everyone to wear masks, there was NO social distancing in their waiting room. Different people are touching the touch screen to sign in and there were no disinfectant wipes or anything similar to wipe down the screens between uses. No one was at the front desk. Confusion over who was the next to be seen. I was very concerned about all of the elderly people sitting so close together. Other places are seating people every other seat. The Quest for $$$ seems to be what is of primary importance. Shame. read more

Pretty quick service with an appointment. Was called exactly at appointment time, out five minutes later. There is a digital board in the waiting area that tells you how many minutes until you will be called. So this was very efficient, one star off for really impersonal corporate climate. No small talk, no smiles, no introduction of technician by name, self check in at kiosk. That being said, the phlebotomist was skilled and thorough. read more

My Covid Test was sent to Quest Diagnostics in Ormond. Others I know got tested after me and was sent to another place and have already received their results back already. It has been 8 days for my results and still nothing. When I called them I was left on hold for quite a while and when spoken to was rudely talked to and then when I was extremely upset at how this was being handled and asked to speak to a supervisor was rudely hung up on. If your doctors office is affiliated with sending your tests there, ask to send to Mayo Clinic or anywhere else. DISGUSTED!!!!!! read more
