She said she never received our email. I'm certain she would have addressed it at that time, had she received the email. In all fairness, she too was duped by my husband's brother. Yelp keeps trying to remove my review of this business. My mother in law has full on set dementia and cannot speak for herself. If they keep removing this, I'll have her POA, my husband write the review. I suspect the owners have reported my review for the second time. Instead of responding and apologizing, they are trying to hide what their negligence. That's really pathetic. They were contacted by us and never responded so I started writing reviews. How they can say that this company didn't affect me is simply not true. Their lies, and not caring properly for my MIL made it so we had to endure a lot of heartache. I'm writing it again. I'd give this company zero stars if I could. Stay away from this agency. My husband has POA of his mother. His brother moved in after their father died, and my husband and I noticed his mother deteriorating more and more. We made the move to get her away from his brother. His brother threatened my husband and me if he tried to move their mom into a facility specializing in dementia care. My husband was named POA, and also has durable POA, medical POA etc. The brother used cursing, intimidation, and threats against my husband and me . The brother refused to get in home 24 hour care, or a house cleaner after many requests from my husband. She was being over medicated and had body odor. After my husband's brother threatened to hit him if he showed up, an attorney advised him to get a police escort to get his mom. My husband and I showed up with an Alvin police officer and there was a home health care worker from this company there. She told us that we were not taking his mother anywhere! Yes, this is while the police woman was standing there. My husband told her this didn't concern her. She called her boss to see if it was ok. Unbelievable. 3 days after rescuing my mother in law, she became very ill and was taken by ambulance to the medical center where she was diagnosed with impacted bowels and a terrible UTI. She was septic and almost died. She was in the hospital a week. Under the wonderful care at Autumn Grove, she flourished and celebrated her 95th birthday there. The brother was upset because he saw his inheritance dwindling as she got healthier and stronger and he saw "his" money being spent on her care. Once my husband and I got back in the house, the filth and odor were deplorable. There was feces on her carpet in her bedroom. The bathrooms were covered in black mold and mildew and the dust and spider webs were thick throughout the home. We all had to wear masks to enter the house. Later, my husband and I were accused of exploiting his mom by APS. We knew immediately his brother did it. It was accusations regarding money. When the case worker was interviewing us she said she called House Calls and they told her the home was in good condition. So, they lied to APS, probably to cover themselves. We took extensive videos of the condition of the home which showed the incredible filth, feces, mold, mildew etc...We were found to be innocent of exploitation, of course, because the brother lied to them about everything. Do NOT trust this company. They are bad. My mother-in-law almost died under their care, and they are liars.

Many attendants were not interested or responsive to caring for my mom. Such a shame that a company who is supposed to provide trustworthy and competent people can't do the bare minimum. The onboarding process was helpful & attentive, and the caregivers they have sent are really excellent. Their online calendar lets me see which caregiver is scheduled for what times. When new caregivers have started, they arranged it so that the prior one, whom I had introduced to my dad myself, trained the new ones. Also, they are giving us very consistent caregivers. My dad needs so much help that it's more than a full time job so we have more than one.

People are waiting three days to get a room out of emergency. In the meantime the hospital tried to hide it and keep offering different procedures to keep the patients hoping they would get seen. I know every patient does not need bloodwork , iv port, ekg , X-ray or cat scan but yet each of us no matter our illness was offered that protocol followed by hours and hours of waiting to see a doctor. Occasionally the security guard tries to get family out of waiting room literally living patients to care for themselves alone. Some way too sick for that. One man fell and busted his head on the hand sanitizer stand causing him to bleed and projectile vomit. The front desk didn't know what to do. Er staff to busy to attend to him. Patients helped him up. Patients who left AMA were literally Dis missed at the counter after they removed the iv port that they never needed anyway. Just a bandaid and sign here. Scam to book insurance money and extend the expected wait time. Please do my take your family to this ER ever. The care didn't improve after much complaining we got a hospital bed over 12 hrs later. The hospital doesn't communicate within departments and cannot give true answers on when you will see a doctor , get transferred or dismissed.

Dottie Wisdom is the manager and has been there since my first visit in as early as 2003 if not before and is exceptional at what she does. I had to go in to have a complication with my hernia checked. Dr. Kafrouni has a great bedside manner. Corine is also stellar and she made sure to take great notes so the doctor had all the info he needed. He was a good listener and didn't rush through our session. Once you get a confirmation number then you can call and make an appointment here with Dr. Conklin. The area here is pretty good, there is a paid parking garage nearby. I was early and spent a while there and the total for parking cost $7.00. There is also Valet parking if you would prefer. The medical building is nice and has a few elevators. Dr. Conklin is on the 11th floor so if you don't want a great cardio workout, I suggest taking the elevator! The receptionist is kind of rude. I asked if I was in the right place and she didn't even acknowledge me. She just asked for my name and then my confirmation number right away. The waiting area was large and empty if you have the morning appointment. The view was pretty nice. It overlooks a parking garage, but a little further out is the park and some fancy apartment buildings. They have to take a urine sample so try to make sure you are ready for that. I forgot and had to drink a lot of water to get just enough out. Sorry TMI. Anyway Dr. Conklin's nurse is really sweet and very friendly. Dr. Conklin himself is very nice as well. He is quiet and loves to travel so he was easy to talk to about the places he's been. The office looks a little old and so does the equipment, but everything works and I have gotten every medical here. I definitely recommend Dr. Conklin!

We had stopped at another ER on the way home that had refused to treat her because their system said our insurance was "inactive". Se my review of "Grace ER- Pearland" for that part of the story. When we arrived at HCA, they immediately brought out a wheel chair and helped my wife get in. We went straight to the treatment room and were seen by a very pleasant nurse who took my wife's history and vitals. The doctor came in a few minutes later and provided excellent care. While they were treating my wife, they eventually asked for our insurance, but they were focused on care not money. Another very nice nurse came and helped us get my wife back into the car and safely on our way home. The entire experience was outstanding. The facility is clean, well equipped and staffed by some of the nicest, caring, healthcare workers I've met. I highly recommend them!

I went into my local Alvin Texas emergency room HCA after a slip and fall on concrete heading my…read moreback and my head. I was taken back to a room immediately but left there for hours with no communication from the nurses or doctor. Finally the x-ray technician came in to take me to do my CT scan and willed me back to my room telling me it would be another few hours before anybody could read the x-rays. I was steady vomiting in the vomit bag only to have a nurse come in my room and yell at me because she thought I was vomiting in the sink and I assured her I was not and she turned around and slam the door and left without even checking on me. After that I left and went to a different ER many miles away only to find out I have a fractured vertebrae in a mild concussion. I will never ever ever use this emergency room again because of the quality of the nursing staff.
