I am a Veteran who normally goes to the va er when I have issues. When I found out (a few years ago now) that I could go to certain emergency cares and the va would cover the cost I started calling around to see where I could go. After about 4 calls this was the only place that even hinted they could work with me. I went with just my regular ID and they gathered my info and have been able to go to them at no cost since. I honestly don't know WHAT anyone is talking about the staff being un-professional because the 5-6 times I've gone now (even during the plague) they have always been very help full and professional. I would HIGHLY suggest any Vet ( or anyone really) looking for an emergency care that will work with the VA to come here and I would believe other MedExpress would be able to help but I cant speak for any other locations since this is the only one I've been too. read more

Have always received great care here and I have been coming here for the past 3 years but I am not happy as the last time I was here (July 2nd) not only did I pay my copay but they took an additional $122 as the doctor was not in Network. Was told that it is the patients responsibility to find out if the doctor that is on duty that day is in Network or out of Network. I feel that is not right so I will not be going here any more. read more

The office was sparkling clean, the receptionist was incredibly kind and very efficient. The provider was incredibly helpful and caring, even going out of her way to provide me extra ways to help improve my condition as well as steps to help reduce the issues. They took a little longer than other clinics but the bedside manner was outstanding so I'll happily wait the extra time for more caring providers. read more

Honestly Surprised... for being a part of the Medical Industry the people who work there from the front to the back have no EMPATHY nor SYMPATHY for patients who need medical attention... they asked questions that made it a quick trip to the MEDEXPRESS NO URGENT CARE... Lady asked me the first question... Does your stomach hurt ? I told her no but it does feel funny because I haven't ate in like hours... Oh no sir you have to go to the ER ! Then I told her I'm just really dehydrated can I get some liquids please or something... Then from like 5 feet away some other lady budges in the conversation saying "she's the lead practitioner and she'll decide what to give people".. mind you I was just asking if she could've or not... But They Were Real Quick to take $100 out of my bank within that conversation (didn't even tell me I had to get a refund, luckily I had able person with me to figure out the problem) got my refund back with no CARE THANKS FOR EVERYTHING May GOD bless y'all read more

Everyone here, from the front to the back was amazing. I don't know if these urgent care places shuffle through different doctors and nurses but I saw Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, a female assistant, a female intake nurse and a female front desk receptionist. All were kind, smart, and in school furthering their education. I had made an appointment with the Fairmont Rediclinic at HEB and they turned me away because they couldn't help me. I was desperate for help and the folks at MedExpress came through. I greatly appreciate all of the staff there working on Sunday, September 15th at 8:00 a.m.!!! Avoid this place at all costs! They offer COVID-19 testing, but have no protocol in place for when patients come to get tested and are waiting early before they open! They do not keep track or count of the number of people are in each car, so if they reach the 100 tests for the day, you're not waiting and wasting your time to be turned away. They also DO NOT care if you're pregnant and have been waiting for hours on end to get to even speak with anyone to ask if you can use the restroom and go back to your vehicle to wait for your testing time slot. They have nasty attitudes towards patients and are very poorly knowledgeable of any pertinent information in regards to your testing costs (if any). read more

I'm giving two stars because the front personnel was so friendly. Brought my daughter in on a Saturday because of fever, sore throat, productive cough, congestion, (what i thought was a white spot on her throat) and pus coming from ear. We get back there and the nurse tries to take her pulse ox, it was 88. Gets a different machine, 88. Another machine and after deep breathing gets it up to 92. (I checked paperwork and it says 93, which is incorrect; I saw the reading on the O2 machine) Asks me if I want flu, strep, and Covid testing. I asked if someone could check to see if there truly was a white spot before testing (we are self pay and I didn't want to rack up unnecessary testing expenses) and she ignored me. Physician comes in and he checks her pulse ox and states "this can't be right" then gets another machine. After minutes of deep breathing he gets it up to 96, and didn't really seemed too concerned. I told him of all the symptoms and he only concentrates on her ear (she did have a hole and infection). Prescribes ear drops and tells me to give her allergy medicine. (Insert eye roll) I figure, hey he's got medical training; they know best. I believe it was Tuesday I called the clinic back because my daughter is not getting better, and is getting worse. I spoke to a differed NP and she was amazing, and seemed so concerned; but due to us being out of the area (we travel with my husband for work) she couldn't really recommend anything without seeing her. (Completely understand) we finished the ear drops today and she still has pus coming from her ear and green mucus, etc. Come to find out.. the ear drops are most of the time prescribed twice a day (not once) and for 10 days not 7. I understand physicians are human and make mistakes but I truly believe he overlooked the severity of my daughter's illness and just brushed us off. Thankfully we are now on the proper treatment plan for her. I advise you to take your children elsewhere. read more

We went in on 2/2/2022 because we had been exposed to COVID-19 on 1/28. No symptoms, but we wanted to verify our infection status. We were expecting a rapid test with results in about 15 minutes and another (more reliable) result in about 3 days. We did get the rapid test and a negative result in about 15 min, but before we knew it we we were sitting in their office being interviewed by a nurse, then by a Physician Assistant. We only asked for a COVID swab test, but our insurance was charged for two expensive office visits ( on for each of us.) We had recently had a check-up and did not need or want an office visit. If you come here for a COVID test only, be sure to make it clear that's all what you want. Also, we did not get any COVID test result after the 15 minute one. read more

Never come here! They do not follow CDC guidelines for COVID Testing! They refused to do a COVID test and still charged the card before even doing the exam. They made us wait two hours before saying we will not be tested. read more

I honestly don't even know how to start, because I know this company is not going to do anything about what happened to me today. I have medical field background. I asked in the morning if a rx that was previously sent to a pharmacy can be sent to another that's opened today and has the medication in stock, I was told yes. Called the pharmacy 2 hours later and they had nothing for me, called med express and I told them the pharmacy didn't have it. The girl at the front has the worst customer service, sounded like she didn't care to help or has any costumer skills. She told me it was left on voice mail at my pharmacy. I asked ok if the pharmacy says it's not on voicemail and they don't have it can you guys call them ? And she said they already Called it in , it's in their voice mail and I told her I understand that , but if it's not can y'all call ? She repeated the same by this time I'm frustrated. I told her look idk if you are in a bad mood because today is a holiday and your working , but I just want my medicine to feel better , She hung up. Called pharmacy again they checked vm they had nothing. I called back to med express and told them here's the phone number they don't have it pls call them idk if it was the same rude girl, but I was told ok they will take care of it. 2 hours later I called my pharmacy and still nothing, so at this point I don't feel good and I'm upset , all I want is my medicine. I went up to med express this was a new provider I didn't see last time I was there, so I figured this is why I'm not getting my medication. The rude girl in the front asked me why I needed to be seen and I said well I been calling all day and my mediation was never sent to my pharmacy, so I figure that if I come in and see provider my medication will be sent to my pharmacy, she then said ok. No I'm sorry, we been busy, or I'm sorry idk what's going on or idk where the disconnect is. She took my copay and went to the back. And I sat down telling my husband what was happening and why I was there. Then provider came and told me I front of everyone here that she wasn't going to see me that I been calling all day being rude and she has already sent rx to Walgreens, that I came in here threatening the girl at the front, I was puzzled I didn't threaten anyone. I started voicing that I didn't threaten anyone and she didn't want to hear anything. She was yelling at me, I have never been talked to like that ever by a provider. I know there cameras there and the manager should review I didn't threaten anyone. I'm a customer and I'm beyond upset I have leave my house and pay again to get what I need, I didn't yell or cause a scene. So I asked for my refund and I'm telling my husband what's happening on the phone and she thinks I'm talking to her and I wasn't she's waving her arms at me that she doesn't care to hear it. Idk what the girl In the front told that provider , but neither one of them belong at that clinic. I cried , never experienced this in my life. I called the Houston location to see if at least they could help and call it in and they told me they were going to reach out to Pasadena and call me back. They never called me. It's sad honestly there's really good providers there, Nick is excellent. I never seen that provider there. If you call them out on the horrible customer service , u are now a complicated patient. Idk what they wanted me to do ? My pharmacy keeps saying that they don't have it and just don't bother them with nothing ? Don't get mad it's been over 12 hours and you still can't get your medicine? read more

Went in there tonight in complete agony with my hip area & knee & cannot even get a pain pill. I have to work & now going to be up all night in pain. Ridiculous waste of my time. I decided to go here because This urgent care was offering free sports physicals. I figured it should be easier than going to downtown Houston for my sons regular pediatrician. I get here and the physicians assistant, started telling me my son has a heart murmur and asthma! I count the believe this. Then when I told him that I would take my son to his regular doctor, he started being argumentative. I walked out of this facility. I didn't want to listen to another word from this guy. I immediately took my son to his doctor, I did not say anything about the earlier PA's diagnosis at MedExpress. We finished my sons physical and his doctor said about the things the PA stated. I told her what happened and she could not believe this. I think this free sports physical was a scam to bill insurance. I really wish I could give 0 stars! read more

Brought my brother here for a sports physical when we couldn't get in to see his pediatrician. The front desk staff was speedy and approachable, answered my questions on route no problem. The intake nurses were an efficient team and very friendly. The PA was thorough and competent in his assessment and a friendly face on the way out. They were running a promo so no cost for the physical , which was a nice bonus for the timely and friendly appointment! In and out less in 30 minutes! Would recommend! read more

The Nurse Practioner, Nick Nguyen, does not have a good bedside manner. He shows no concern nor shows understanding for the family member. His explanations are vague. I had to practically pull his teeth for one word answers. The receptionist and triage nurse were friendly, but no concern about urgency. My husband had to put his own info in the electronic pad while he is unstable. They should of sent him to the back and let the family member handle the registration info. Definitely don't go there for any urgency!!! But, they made sure to get the copay! read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Went in a Sunday afternoon with my daughter. Registration was a breeze, the staff was so pleasant. We were taken to triage quickly and she was properly assessed and taken to the practitioner. Rachel saw her and ran all the proper tests and even one I asked for just for reassurance. She answered all of my questions and offered an injection for pain relief. Called out medication to the right pharmacy and we were out the door in less than an hour. The facility is clean and if we are ever in need of a visit of any kind, we will be back to this location. read more

The staff is very professional, yet put me at ease with there gentle, caring manner. The 4 staff members that I encountered were very pleasant and easy to communicate with. I arrived about 20 minutes before there closing time and yet each one of them took adequate time to meet my needs and did not rush me out. They were all very thorough in their care. It was very refreshing to to meet professionals that were truly there for their patients. Thank you for being so great. I highly recommend this establishment! read more
