Over the weekend, I had symptoms of a UTI and my doctor wanted me to give a urine sample. I am grateful that I was able to be seen on a Saturday. I told the woman who took my information that we do not have health insurance and had to pay upfront which I did for $130.14. I then had gotten another invoice for an additional $39.19. I called and they said I needed to pay that. I said I should have been told the correct amount up front since I was paying out of pocket. I was told I had to pay the invoice. I am not happy about that at all. read more

Impossible to talk to a human in person. There is just a tablet in the waiting room. They don't make appointments over the phone. Have to schedule appointment online. Have to make an account to schedule an appointment. Showed up 10 minutes early to my appointment and they hadn't even serviced people who had been waiting for 30 minutes. I also waited for over 30 minutes even after making an appointment. What is even the point in scheduling an appointment if you're going to wait around for nearly an hour read more

I have experienced the morning backup too. I had a 7:15am appt and got there at 7:05. Filled out my card and waited. I did not get my draw until 7:30. By the rating I see 16 others had issues with them. I'm told to arrive 10 minutes early yet wait 38 minutes for my "scheduled appointment". When I mention it, I'm told they have a staff shortage. Same thing I was told 6 months ago. You would think they would adjust their scheduling for the staff shortage. To make things worse they said they never received my script from the doctor's office. I had to leave. Checked with the doctor's office and it had in fact been faxed and she said it showed completed. Checked and it was faxed to the correct address. They said they would refax but told them not to. I had no way of checking they received it as calls only get a recording with no option to leave a message. read more

Was thrilled our doctor is using Quest now since they have a location right near us and it syncs with Apple Health and supports online appointment booking. This place didn't have great ratings but most were old and everyone says techs were good and they just didn't like waiting for the one tech to be available. I booked online on my iPhone through yelp easily. I booked night before and plenty of appointments available. The only hiccup was entering insurance info. It says enter insurance zip code, I thought it meant mine but once I entered zip on back of card went through. Arrived this morning at 9:20 for 9:30am Friday appointment. With lack of signage didn't know what side of building to enter. I saw a sign on door that says as of October 2018 they moved a few doors down next to Dunkin Donuts at 8 Stiles Road (still shows old address here and on Apple Maps. I got there at 9:23. Checked in on the kiosk. It's not an iPad so it didn't easily detect me pressing the letters as easily as I'd like but otherwise only took a few seconds. Sat down and waited maybe 3 or 4 minutes while I saw people come and go and then I was called. So sounds like they have hired more people. They woman was very nice. They had an issue with insurance since I wasn't the primary holder but they entered that info in less than a minute and was all set. Gave the shot and I was out literally a minute later. Maybe I got lucky but from my experience it was near perfect. Highly recommend. read more

I have been to several Quest locations, and this one by far has given me the best experience. I've gone to this location maybe five times this year, and each time was seen promptly (I did make appointments ahead of time). My phlebotomist was a really nice guy, down to business, and even called my doctor's office directly for me when he didn't see the order in the system. My one gripe with Quest is that there isn't a direct line to contact locations. However, this isn't a problem related to this location specifically. read more

First of all, I'd like to say that I've been to this location many times. I've never really had any issues. A bit of pain sometimes and a little bruising, no big deal. Today I had an issue and it was my fault. Rebecca called me in and I suddenly realized I forgot to bring my paperwork from the doctor. She was so understanding. She gave me an option of coming another time, calling the doctor to FAX over a copy, or going home and returning today with the paperwork. She was so pleasant. Didn't make me feel stupid (though I did), and even said SHE was sorry. Totally my fault. When I returned an hour later, I spoke with the first available person, Amy. She checked with Rebecca and told me she (Amy) would take me after her current patient. I have very tiny veins. Amy said she needed to use a "butterfly". I'd never heard of this before and was a little nervous. It worked out fine! No pain. No bruising. Best experience ever. I told her no one had suggested the butterfly before. She said to just ask for it next time. Can't get better service than this! Thanks to both Rebecca and Amy. You both represent the best of professionals in your field. read more

It's not the worst place you can go, but their billing department is horrible- or the data entry person is horrible, not sure who's the culprit. They have screwed up my insurance information each and every time I have been there. 3 months later I get a bill every time. This takes time out of my day. It is frustrating and ridiculous. The customer service always blames it on some ridiculous answer too, like my birthday doesn't match. (Which was a crock) Anyway, most of the time the phlebotomist is good but I've had some doozies before. read more

So the unfortunate thing about getting lab work done is that it's usually being directed by a doctor/your insurance plan and you have no say over it, and in this case that sucked. Quest wrongly stuck me with a $1400 for a very simple blood panel. I am not exaggerating. It sent me into a panic because I haven't made much money in a freaking pandemic and this drama stretched out for about six months before getting resolved-- by which I mean, it sounds like my insurance got on the phone with them and set them straight and made it clear that they were not allowed to charge such an outrageous amount. Thank God it worked. And my insurance was the one who informed me that this was taken care of; I never heard a peep out of a Quest rep, which would have been the decent thing to do on their part.. but then what was I expecting? I wish I could come back at them and charge them for the roof-hitting levels of anxiety they sent me through over their dumb mistakes but the best I can do is leave a scathing review. If you have any power over it, do not come to Quest. read more

Jeez...the waiting time is terrible. We arrived one morning at 6:30 - the time they are supposed to open-no one was there. The techs are good but it seems the systems are outdated. This morning the wait was 45 minutes. The location is convenient. The stars are for the techs and location. read more

DMV. If you like being treated like you are at the DMV this is your place. My wife just got home and shared her experience. Yesterday she visited and was given collectors and instructions - what appeared to be clear instructions. She returned this morning and was told that she was given the wrong jars and implied it was her fault. "You need to do it again". No apology, no empathy, just anger. These people are clearly very unhappy with their jobs and have decided to take it out on the customers. read more

Unsanitary and very unprofessional staff both of the two times I've been here. Had the same woman both times (I won't blast names) who is like a ticking time bomb when put under pressure gets all flustered when putting in the paper work constantly asking ME questions about what is being ordered? I am the patient- I'm just following instructions! Then her and another employee are arguing raising voices at each other about what the dr ordered and she finally called the dr to specify what it was. You would think it would have been solved there but no she brings the other flustered one into the room and they're fighting in front of me and my two year old over which directions to send home with me (I still have no clue what I'm suppose to do). Used the restroom for my urine sample and the water wasn't working, no soap... absolutely disgusting. I helped myself and grabbed their soap I found outside at their work station. Oh and she smelled like she just puffed a nice fat cigarette. I expressed to her on my way out that I'm not feeling very confident on all of this take home stuff and that both times I've felt stressed out leaving their hostile work environment. This place doesn't even deserve one star. I am Disgusted with the way they treat their patients. The employees who work for this company refuse to use butterfly needles on patients even with their request. They refuse to do what is in the patients best interest , they do not even take the time to ask the reason for the request not that anyone should have to explain themselves when they are paying for a service and visiting a a lab. My family and I had been going here for many years after the last experiences we have had with them I will never go back. Also I feel as though quest diagnostics doesn't protect patient privacy I was in the waiting room And could hear my mom telling the employee her arm was hurting to much and this particular employee did nothing about it didn't even apologize. I have been to Quest on more than one occassion. It was never good but it seems to be getting worse. They do not open at the appointed time in the morning causing a back up of people. The staff is generally unfriendly and one woman in particular is outright rude. Recently I went for bloodwork. They opened the doors late as usual. There was only one person on staff. The computers were not set, the calling numbers were not ready. Another employee arrived about 20 minutes later as the back up in the waiting room grew. She came out from the back about 10 minutes later and began to fiddle with a computer (not handling clients). After I had been there for nearly a half an hour, only 2 out of 6 people had been treated. I was next in line but I waited and waited to be called. Finally I had enough and I left. This was about the worst I have seen it but there have been other incidents that were similar. There are other labs out there and I don't think I will be using Quest any longer. At least not the one in Salem, NH. read more
