It's hit or miss if you get a good phlebotomy. Some have caused me pain and discomfort and others are great.

Tanks Be Gone - sink hole forming at contact between soil and foundation of house

Where do I begin, John & his team do exceptional work, clean up after themselves, tanks be gone…read more is very reasonably priced, he went above & beyond my expectations. I recieved 6 quotes all were thousands more, one competitor told me I had to put a new 275 oil tank outside on my patio & this would require a slab of concrete. I responded " your a fucking lazy idiot who doesn't want to do the hard work to get the tank in the tight basement hatchway, & carry the old one out, I said I am 5ft 1 inch 130 pounds how the hell do you expect me to shovel a pathway in 18 inches of snow, like we had this winter, I requested the quote anyways it was never sent to me. Do yourself & your wallet a favor & use John from tanks be gone he is topnotch

John, the owner at Tanks Be Gone, is the opposite of a professional. He was contracted to complete…read morea tank excavation and soil remediation job, and given 45 days to complete the job. He had a million excuses why he couldn't or didn't show up on a given day. Even days that were a perfect opportunity to work (no rain for successive days, etc.) were no shows with no call. When I asked that he communicate with me if he wasn't going to show up when he promised he would, he agreed, but then never actually followed through on that either. Not only did he fail to complete the job, he also evaded correspondence, left the site (a residential property) in a state of appalling disarray, and breached the safety standards of any excavation contractor worth his salt. There is currently (and has been for a month and a half) a massive gaping hole in my front yard. ZERO safety precautions were taken at any point; currently there are not (nor were there ever) any cones placed, currently there is not (nor was there ever) any caution tape or rope placed, currently there is no (nor was there ever) barrier of any kind placed to prevent falls or injury. Aside from this, contaminated soil, streaked with oil, was left piled on top of my lawn without a tarp or covering to prevent further leaching into the soil. Whenever it rains there are huge areas of pooling on the lawn because there's so much oil and contaminated soil it prevents the rain from penetrating the ground. You can literally SEE the iridescence and 'rainbowing' effect of the oil all over the place. Tanks Be Gone has left me with a personal and community safety hazard and an absolutely terrifying circumstance from an environmental standpoint. This from the man who is a licensed contractor, and supposed expert in his field. Buyer beware! Tanks Be Gone is much cheaper than most tank removal companies and I can see now, at least in part, why that is the case - he is the worst kind of 'professional'. He takes no pride in his work and no ownership or responsibility whatsoever. Importantly, I purchased a brand new house for my son and I to live in and my son is now unable to enjoy his new yard. He has special needs, is a bolt risk, and his developmental delays render him incapable of understanding safety concepts and danger. I'm scared constantly that he will elope and get hurt because of the massive hole and contamination that is strewn all over my property. John refuses to engage or return to the property to complete his job. Tanks Be Gone does not care about their customers, does not care about doing the right thing, and John does not care about his own professional integrity. You pay for what you get with this guy. Avoid him at all costs. (I did some looking after the fact and looks like this joker did wrong by others as well. Check out the reviews and official complaint on his BBB profile). Oh, and because the ground was opened up and left for 45 days, a sink hole is now forming at the exact place where the soil meets my foundation - a portion of the house that is never intended to be exposed to the elements, let alone for a month and a half. Again, avoid this guy like the plague.
