If you return any merchandise worth over $10 they can't give you cash. They have to mail you a check. I was annoyed but accepted their ridiculous policy. After 10 days I called and asked about my check. A temp manager said he would check and call me right back. One week later, I called again asking about the check. An assistant manager informed me that the checks get mailed out to the contractor who's account it was purchased under and not the person who actually paid for it. He told me I would have to call them and ask for my money. Have you ever tried to get money from a contractor? Me either. They aren't in the business of giving money back, they're in the business of getting paid money. For their poor return policy I will never buy here again. I can find the exact same products online at a cheaper price. I went here only because I wanted to support a local business which costed me extra in the end. With politicies like no cash return in place I don't see how they expect to keep people happy. Most work i do on my house is cash.

The second I looked them up on Angi. Someone called me and the ball was rolling instantly. I communicated with Allison and she kept me up-to-date on everything and let me know when one of the guys was coming out. A fantastic, friendly and easy person to work with. Jeremy was the first one to come, and he was very personable and seemed genuine from the second he came in. He offered us different options, gave us some opinions, but ultimately left it up to us. When we asked about the chances of it being put in before Thanksgiving, he said he felt very good about it, could not promise anything, but would do his very best. The carpet was just installed today and it looks amazing. Chris is the one who came out to make sure everything was measured the way we wanted how much carpet vs floor would show. He did the installation. Promptly here at 10:00 am. He was beyond incredible. Not only did he once more walk us through everything before he started, but he fixed a small issue we have been having with our top step where there is a decent gap between the stair and the wood, We have not been able to fix it. He said he could take a look at it for us and he fixed it. Then on his own without any asking he went and re-glued some of our spindles that were just loose. When you would walk down the stairs, they would make a little rattling sound, but he fixed that for us on his own time. I would recommend them 100%. They were spot on, great communicators, very personable and did a fantastic job.

I took my disabled father in to look at flooring for his house. She was quite helpful at first, but apparently she has no experience with assisting a customer who is hard of hearing: as our visit progressed, she spoke progressively quieter and quieter. When we got to the desk to discuss pricing, she refused to answer basic questions, such as how much the flooring would cost per case. Instead, she announced that it would be "four twenty nine" per square foot. When asked if that was four hundred twenty nine or four dollars and twenty nine cents, she only repeated "four twenty nine". By this time, her speech was a mere mumble, to the point that I myself could barely hear her. When asked if she could speak up, she told me to relay for her, because she wasn't going to yell for anyone. Hey Michael: this woman's treatment of disabled customers is not befitting of a business of your quality and status.

It turned out that the contractor had installed a variety of electrical switches and outlets at a variety of levels which all needed to be set straight before the tiling could be done. I was very glad that we had called in a true expert instead of going with the contractor for the work. Jason was terrific to work with and his work has held for over 10 years. Meanwhile, the grout and calking done by a contractor in the bathroom has been redone several times and has never looked as good or held up well. I am now hoping that the Backsplash Company will do my bathroom tile.
