The menu featured some interesting American-style choices, with steak options being the most prominent. I started with the pumpkin soup which was rich and hearty. Bread came with this to make it the perfect opener. I generally go away from red meat most of the time and they did have a few chicken and fish items. I chose the Dragon Fire Chicken. It was served with a generous covering of barbecue sauce on a small bed of beans. Accompanied by vegetables and a baked potato, it was a very filling meal. The Malbec provided a nice complement and the finishing coffee was reasonably good. The prices were expensive but that's more to do with the fact that it was Switzerland. My final bill with a small (10%) tip was 62 CHF (included starter, main, 330-mL water, 1-dL wine and coffee). Given the fact that I find Swiss restaurants to be nearly twice as expensive as comparable US restaurants, the cost was about right in my estimation. I was generally pleased with my visit to this interesting establishment. Given the fact that it's within walking distance of my preferred hotel when I'm in Basel, I'm likely to try it again.
