She had a discussion about eating anal, aka "eating groceries", with the class, then explained how she has this discussion with every class. She called one of her students "my sexy baby" and continued over and over again. She wants to be addressed one way yet refuse to respect how the student wants to be addressed. The presenter really didn't have her speech down very well and at one point she was texting on her phone while she was asking if we had questions. Another Rep with a lot of tattoos made a pretty inappropriate comment about the drug test, it didn't bother me but there's all kinds o people in the world. Then you fill out some paperwork mostly forms about background checks and drug tests. I didn't like that they aren't really upfront about the purpose of this. It's a place where they give you free training and job assistance yes, but its like a research study. Whoever qualifies, passes background check, questionnaires ect, only half the people in the study can move forward. The remaining half are part of the "control" group. They get no services from the company, although they say they will refer you to more resources. It's a study in which they want to see how much these services help in contrast to the same demographic of people that receive no assistance. But it's free so maybe I will get lucky. The rest of the orientation is taking an assessment test to see where you would place at Tri-C. Certain parts of the test seemed too easy, the math had a few challenging questions. After that there's a quick questionnaire about whatever career path you're interested in. All said and done its about a two hour visit. Be prepared to walk if you don't want to pay for parking (about $7)

Sheree led the introduction course to explain the services they offer and how each person would be assigned a counselor to help them with their resumes, interviewing, networking and more! Their training seminars on LinkedIn, Networking, Interviewing,and Negotiating the Job Offer were very useful and informative. Kathy was my assigned counselor and she did a great job of helping me restructure my resume and run through some mock interview questions.
