We had a party of 11 and were seated quickly on a Saturday afternoon. My cousin's husband wanted me to let everyone know that they don't sell alcohol. The vibe was very casual. We found parking at the back of the restaurant. We all ordered different things and everything was delicious. Yes, these tacos do taste like the ones in Tijuana. The quesobirria tacos were scrumptious.

I got a fried pork, spiced pork and beef cheek taco. The tacos are street taco style. each taco came with minced onion, cilantro and guac , and some lime on the side. They are wrapped so nicely in sandwich wrapping paper. The corn tortillas are warm, flexible and fresh tasting. The red and green salsa served on the side are very spicy. I also got a side of refried beans which I liked a lot because it also seemed to be cooked to perfection. Located at Q & 24, there is a small parking lot behind the restaurant. Pro Tip, you order with your wait staff at the table, and they give you a check number. When you are ready to leave, take your check number to the front desk. This is really efficient, so you can settle your bill on your own time, and not have to wait for the wait staff to bring your bill, run your cash or card, wait some more ... I like this business model for fast casual dining. I've started my 24 Ave S food tour starting at Q and ending up at Cuming. I am looking at non-chain places to eat. I am convinced 24 Ave S is one of the most delicious streets in all of Omaha.

Stopped here for lunch and really enjoyed it!…read more Super clean and modern diner ambiance. I had the patty melt with onion rings. The hubs had a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. The girls split a cheese burger because they wanted a burger but there wasn't one on the kids menu. Afterward, we enjoyed some ice cream. I really appreciate the seasonality - apple streusel, pumpkin ginger snap, etc. Super creamy and delicious! Would definitely go back!

The place is bright and colorful with a fun diner-style vibe that instantly lifts your mood. I love that the ice cream counter is separate from the food ordering because it makes everything fast and smooth. The hardest part was choosing from all the amazing flavors. I went with my classic single scoop of cotton candy in a cake cone because, honestly, I am basically five years old at heart. My husband stuck to his usual double scoop of butter brickle in a waffle cone, which he claims is the best butter brickle in the metro area. My dad went with Just Peachy in a cake cone, and everyone was happy. The only tiny hiccup was my cone being a little stale and missing the little paper wrapper like my dad's had...which I didn't realize mine was missing until I saw him ripping his off! So yes, I love living on the sweet slightly germy edge. Even so, the ice cream was cool, creamy, and completely delicious. Perfect for a Sunday night treat. We will definitely be back for more!

Fantastic Spot! When I first walked in I was taken back to the 60's because of the decor, not bad…read morejust pleasantly surprised. I also knew when I saw the USMC decor on the "I Love Me" wall that I was in the right spot. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Omaha Reuben sandwich that was an outstanding choice. Thick cut corned beef with molten cheese and the dressing also accompanied by thin cut fries that were served hot! Perfect! The biscuits and gravy with eggs were perfectly prepared and also served hot. Wifey said probably the best B&G w/eggs she's had. If you are flying in to Omaha or your local and looking for a good meal, this is the place. This is a must-return if I'm ever back in the area.

Louie M's was top of the list when I searched for burgers near downtown Omaha and I can see why…read more This is an old school, classic downtown diner with a ton of character. The first thing I noticed is that it's in kind of an unassuming part of Downtown Omaha. I'd call it off the beaten path for sure, and after chatting with some folks I know in Omaha I got the vibe that it maybe isn't in the most common part of town to explore as a tourist BUT I kind of loved that. This part of town feels lived in, authentic, and maybe a bit up and coming, like it's going through it's own sort of revitalization. All of that being said, I felt safe, and I knew I'd love dining here when I approached the building and there was a group of regulars gathered outside soaking up the sun that greeted us. One of them said "those are the days" to his buddies, upon seeing us with two little kids in tow and I honestly enjoyed hearing that little reminder to try and soak up these long but important days with our girls. Once inside I had some of the best hospitality I've had ever at a restaurant. The server was top notch - so friendly, answered all questions, and really made us feel at home. I'd return just for the vibes and service alone. We ordered burgers as it's in the name! They were good - I was I think expecting to be blown away given the reviews and blown away I was not, BUT I was really impressed with the onion rings, the burger was solid, and I'd not hesitate to return. The cherry on top? The owner was making the rounds - Louie himself! - and he was so kind, and thoughtful. There is something to be said about someone taking pride in what they do and I think that really came through here. Overall you can't go wrong stopping in here for a meal - I promise you'll enjoy it!
