Was truly surprised that all of the butchering is done in house and the product curation is gorgeous.

I ordered Ron's Chicken & Rhubarb Pie for $16.99; you get three pieces of honey-fried chicken (drumstick, thigh, and breast); mashed potatoes with gravy, a buttered bun, and a generous slice of rhubarb pie. The fried chicken was excellent, and the honey added a nice touch. The mashed potatoes were okay but tasted like they were instant, and the roll could've been just a bit bigger. That said, the rhubarb pie absolutely stole the show--perfectly balanced, not bitter at all, and honestly the best rhubarb pie I've had. My wife Laura had the Frenchman's Quiche Combo for $17.99, which includes a slice of deep-dish Quiche Lorraine with hollandaise, French onion soup, and a warm croissant with grape jelly. The quiche was fluffy with a flaky crust, and the bacon and sauce really brought it together. The French onion soup was outstanding--packed with onions and rye croutons, easily one of the best we've had outside of New Orleans. The croissant was spot-on as well. The restaurant itself was clean, and the bakery area smelled incredible--loaded with pastries and cakes that clearly get a lot of care and attention. The bathrooms were passable, though there was a slight unpleasant odor in the men's room. Service was fine--our waitress was polite and efficient, just a bit on autopilot. Pricing for the restaurant felt fair for what you get, though the bakery items leaned a little pricey. Still, between the quality of the food--especially the baked goods--and the overall experience, this is a great place to eat in Omaha.

They weren't really busy, but it took quite a while for us to get our drinks. Daughter's coffee was very weak as was my iced tea- - when I got a refill I asked for no ice and it was still very weak. Her 2nd cup of coffee was better. Kids meals are eight dollars and do not include a drink. That seems to be pretty standard and they were good. One had the waffle, one had the French toast and one had the eggs, bacon and muffin. My daughter ordered the breakfast wrap and had a cinnamon roll on the side. She said it was good - - just a bit dry on the corner. My scrambled eggs with bacon and cheese was really good. It came with a big slice of Christmas roll, which I knew the children would enjoy. As for the Christmas roll - - the cake part was kind of dry and it has lots of frosting. It's an expensive place for breakfast for a family. The waitress was very attentive. They had a few Christmas decorations to add to a festive atmosphere

It's not a super…read moreconvenient location and it's not very close to my home, so I mostly come when I need to get the odd ingredient. I stopped by today in particular to get apples because I forgot to grab them during my normal grocery run and I happened to be nearby. The first thing I noticed was the exterior building. It doesn't look like it's been updated or that well kept up since it was constructed. It looks like the building has aged, and that big sign on a post looks dated as well. The interior was not dirty, but also looked dated and could definitely use a refresh. Businesses in the Regency area tend to look fancier and better well kept up, so I'd like to see this Whole Foods get a little TLC. I just feel like the vibe is off a little from what I would expect. I also expected to see a wider variety of apples. I guess to me Whole Foods means lots of organic and natural items as well as a broader selection than what you might find at conventional grocery store like Hy-Vee. But that really wasn't the case. Other than having lots of organic options, the specific types of apples weren't that unique or exciting. When it came time to check out, there was not a single open register with a human being. They only had self check out open, which is not my immediate preference.

It had so many different places, deli, flowers, huge produce section, and eating area. It was all a bit overwhelming to me. I got a disoriented, like I was roaming Costco or Sam's Club. The food on the salad bar and deli area was the same as what I get in Honolulu though. And I'm not sure if that is good or bad. It's nice to have the familiar dishes I buy at home, but its always nice to try local food from the area.

DP ordered Lemon Berry Pancakes, a plate-filing short stack of goodness. I'd like to say it tasted as good as it looked, but I couldn't tell as DP chowed down like a hound from hell. In a good way, of course. She did allow me to share her Maple Braised Bacon (meaning that I was able to snatch a piece while she wasn't looking). Really, really fine, something I'd definitely order again. For me. Not to share. I had the Schnitzel Bennie with tart cherry jam and lemon hollandaise. Sound unusual? Tasted great! My only gripe was that the pork cutlet was a bit small and could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading. Would I order it again? You betcha! Service was fast and efficient. The decor was quirky and inviting but the space was loud enough that it was really hard to carry a conversation. Overall rating: yahoo!

We said first available seats, which ended up being at the end of the bar. More about that later... I ordered the vegan standard and hubs ordered the banana bread French toast. The server was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner, considering the place was packed. Regarding the vegan standard, it seems they have cut back on the amount of tofu scramble and increased the amount of hashbrowns, which was a little bit disappointing. As usual it was very tasty though! I tried a bite of the hubs French toast and it was VERY unique and tasty! II will be getting that next time. I was disappointed to hear that they haven't brought back the vegan biscuits and gravy, but maybe once again they will! So the food was great but our experience, not so much, based on where we were sitting. I feel like they should not even use the last spot at the bar to seat a patron. Right next to where I was sitting is the place they bring the clean silverware to dry it off, then they would toss it into the silverware holder. The noise was very annoying and they did nothing to try to even be quiet about it. The other thing about that location is the register is pretty much right in your face, like 15 inches directly in front of me and someone was pretty much there the whole time. Other areas of the bar wouldn't be quite so bad, but next time we will wait longer to get a table or sit at the bar top that looks outside instead of at all the workers doing their thing and talking to each other. Other than the location of where we sat this visit, this is still one of our top spots for a yummy vegan breakfast, and we will be back!
