Our products and services include Longarm machines, sewing machines, embroidery machines, fabrics, and much more. Sewing machine sales and service. Quilting and sewing classes. Quilt shop quality fabrics only. Always $8/yd with a minimum one yard cut.

        History

        Established in 2010.

        Lori started this business in 2010. She started a full quilt shop with a 15 bed retreat center. After selling the store to a quilt instructor that keeps it as a quilting retreat center. She opened the Sioux Falls store which she currently runs. It has cotton fabrics at $8 a yard if you get a yard or more. Along with discounted prices on batiks and widebacks. She has the Pfaff and Juki sewing machine dealership. Her husband repairs and services all makes and models of sewing machines and longarms.

        Meet the Business Owner: Lori K.

        Lori has been sewing since she was 8 years old and quilting since the invention of rotary cutters. After getting all 3 kids in school she went back to school herself and earned a degree in Computer Information Systems. The next 20 years was spent working in technology as a programmer, administrator, and trainer. In 2010, she and her husband Bob decided to open their own quilt shop. Their Quilters Headquarters quilt shop has been growing ever since. Lori loves to teach all facets of quilting, from beginning quilting to advanced quilting, piecing to longarming. She mixes in the technology side of classes with embroidery and longarm software classes. She is a certified to teach Creative Studio longarm software and Electric Quilt designing software. Once a geek, always a geek!

The shop is downtown in the "historical" shopping district and parking is on the street. I had a little trouble maneuvering the one way streets. The shop is on the small and narrow side, and I agree with another reviewer that with a few customers or a class inside, it will feel crowded.

The staff was so helpful in helping me pick out a necklace for my daughter. She showed me different areas of the store where I could find what I was looking for and she explained the current sales. I found a gorgeous ring and necklace for my daughter along with an adorable little trinket bowl. Reasonably priced. I will definitely return to this store!
