They're supposed to fix Apple Care customers devices but they don't hold any parts in the back so you must leave your device overnight or up to three days before they get a part. This is to prevent them from doing AppleCare repairs as they do not make as much money off of them. Scam if you ask me! Should not be a part of the Apple program! read more

Excellent service on my Mac Air and iPhone battery replacement. Feel like pre-COVID type of customer service.

From the first email I received regarding my inquiries to how I was greeted upon entering the store, I knew my Mac was in good hands. My drive was completely full and applications would often close on me because there wasn't enough memory space, and I could not use it without a charger. I dropped my Mac off Saturday morning and was reunited with it on Tuesday morning. Went in after Cry Wolf had stripped my computer screws and they were all falling out. CW had me jumping though hoops and after several visits of 30 min plus I was done. I was home in Sioux Falls and my Dad recommended I go here. It took under five minutes to replace the screws and they seemed very appreciative of their customers. Screws are still in after a week. Nothing beats good Midwestern service! I'll ship to these guys for any big projects on my computer. read more

My computer crashed over break, and despite the holiday, these guys managed to get my computer up and running better than before AND fixed my keyboard with out charging me or asking if it needed to be done (it really did need that...!) I called Mac Doctors and asked them about replacing the broken "command" key on my MacBook. The representative on the phone said he thought they had a replacement part and to bring it over (mind you it's already late in the afternoon). Not only did they fix/replace the key in less than 10 minutes, but they also did not charge me for it. Needless to say, I will be buying my next computer from them. Thanks! read more

I have to say, MacDoctors is THE BEST in town. I had a cord issue a year or so ago and the other place charged me for a replacement (when I found out later it was covered by warranty) and the replacement was a used one! It bit the dust only a year later, it was likely a recall. Anyhow, my HD burnt up (as well as my battery AND power cord) from the power surges last week. Mac Doctors FOUND the warranty for my hard-drive (that I installed, not a stock part, and not even from their store) so my replacement hard-drive was free (I feel like the other place would have found the warranty and charged me anyhow) and they restored EVERYTHING to how it was before (after my husband and I both gave it a try with no results - both of us being techy people). With the new battery, power supply, hard drive, and data restoration; it only cost less than $500. And on top of that, the way they handle their customers is amazing. I was frantically calling them every other hour (slight exaggeration) to check the status bc I needed to get back to working on some things that were due asap, and they were SO kind and understanding and comforting. They didn't remotely act like they were frustrated with me calling, just very reassuring and calming. I will only be going to them for anything I need mac-related, and I encourage any of you to as well. read more

Great fast service. My MacBook Pro keys popped off and Mac Doctors fixed my keys for free!

My complaint isn't about the service; they successfully re-installed the operating system onto my MacBook pro. My complaint rests in their pricing plans and telling you about them. I went in to get an estimate of how much getting my mac fixed would be, and I was told that if it was a hardware problem it wouldn't cost me anything (because it was on warranty through Apple) but if it wasn't they'd have to re-install. The man working there told me it would be $45 to re-install the operating system. He and I discussed the options several times and I was made certain that re-installing the OS would cost $45. What he failed to tell me was that it would be an additional $45 dollars for labor. When my wife went to pick it up it was a very big shock to say the least! Honestly the price doesn't upset me THAT much. If I was told up front the final cost would be higher than $45 with labor costs that would have been one thing. Even given a rough estimate would have been better. But being blindsided with an extra $45 was fairly rude. If you need a mac repaired they're the place to go. Just make sure you get a firm price agreement. read more

Wasn't impressed with their customer service. I have a I-phone that had the battery problem. First, they put me on hold for a long time right away during the call. Then after giving the proper info from me for the replacement, they told me it could be 3 months before they would have it. Got the very clear impression that they weren't interested in my business. On a side note, got six iPads from another location. Too bad they didn't treat the small deal very well. It cost them business. read more

I was wrong before I ever set foot through the door. My macbook wasn't starting, which didn't surprise me as I have been babying it along for a year to make it through my last semester of college. The guy couldn't start it either but it fired up by itself after being attached to their charger which surprised even him. He then told me they didn't work on computers over the weekend and as it was so close to closing (apparently they quit working forty-five minutes before the posted closing time) that they would not do anything. I walked in planning on buying a new laptop, transferring my data, and having my iphone repaired but walked out empty handed and have NO plans on returning after being dismissed so quickly and fully by such a rude person. read more
