This is a portion of an email conversation following the phone call: To Mr. Daw: Dear Mr. Daw, I know you're angry & disappointed that we didn't find a suitable property with you, & you worked very hard to try to help us. Regardless of how you feel, we appreciate your efforts & hard work... (there was more but not enough space here to put the whole thing, but you get the tone...) Parent From Mr. Daw: I 'm deleting this w/o reading it because you don't get it. You're a helicopter parent that's enabling your daughter to behave the way she & her friends do. The sad thing is I'll never try & help anybody like this again. You're focused on doing only what's best for you & have used my good nature to get what you want. I even had a restaurant willing to give waitressing jobs to them! I embarressed myself in front of my clients that I have convinced to consider these arrangements. Nothing you could say would change my opinion that you are greedy and self serving; what a lesson to your daughter to have bitten the hand of help. Coldwell Banker refused to correct the situation and left me in debt for their follies with an "oh well" attitude.
