The Working Men's Club can provide a hired venue in which again supplies their own bar for private use for the party, and they also provide a pool table for those in need of a little competition. Within their hired venue they supply quite a large area as the dance floor which is a great aspect for events such as birthdays, weddings and other occasions that deserves a thrown party. Their smoking area is quite wide and spacious as well that provides seating locations and benches to hold up drinks, and therefore in all, I would recommend holding an even here if you are on a low budget.

Staff member, old man about 65 years old was very rude and aggressive towards me in the presence of my young children, all he had to do was inform me I had come to the wrong entrance but no he decided to shout at me instead. He had no customer service skills whatsoever and completely ruined what should have been a pleasant evening at my friends wedding. I was stood waiting at the bar for a good while and he ignored me. I was finally served by a lovely young lady and she was very helpful but I suggest giving the old man something else to do as he clearly is not trained to deal with customers effectively. Low cost, DIY and recycling is very much there ethos. The Staff are friendly and will offer you a cup of tea or coffee while you browse there many vintage and retro clothes ranging £3-£10 and there second hand clothes which include many high street name for as little as 50p-£3! As well as being a kookie little shop with a lovely atmosphere the shop is something of a Curiosity with its many strange and wonderful bric-a-brac items! Before i went along i was told by a friend that 'this is the best curiosity shop they have seen in ten year' and i would very much agree!

Although the decor suffers from a little wear and tear, the venue was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We made use of the Lounge Room which fit the party in with no problems. The bar was well stocked and reasonably priced, though a little more expensive than a 'normal' bar I felt. The toilets were very clean, tidy and well presented. There is lots of free parking available outside. On their website they also advertise it as a wi-fi hotspot. Food is served here, and can be organised for functions if you didn't want to do it yourself. There is also a games room, and flood-lit astro turf.
