The staff here are nice and when I called to ask if they accepted donations, they politely said yes they will accept small amounts. I assume they may limit the amount they accept as there are many boxes of books there that are not even opened or on the shelves yet so they may be back logged. Used bookstores are a rare find and I think it's so awesome to have a place like Bookwise in the local community!

I was happy to meet one of the owners that was there. His name was Connor. He was helpful and informative. I was happy to support a private business, and not a typical Corporation. Note: I went to use the restroom and as I approached an older gentleman asked me if I had the Code for the Men's bathroom. I looked at the door and saw a cipher lock installed and a sign advising you had to enter the Code at the bottom of your receipt. The store is a used bookstore perfectly located across the street from the college. It specializes in selling (and buying) textbooks for the college courses offered nearby. In addition to the textbooks, they carry non-fiction and fiction books (mystery, sci-fi, romance, etc.). The non-texts on the shelves are neatly arranged by category and alphabetically by author. In addition to books, they have some quick study guides, lab coats, and notebook binders, among other things that a student might find useful. Oh, and they even had a section of children's books, too. After browsing a bit through the titles just to make sure we hadn't missed anything, we left without buying anything. But we were glad we'd stopped in to see what they have so we'd know.

For example some courses the books are way more expensive if they are book version. But the class I was taking was only $10 difference between virtual and loose page version. The employees was very helpful and showed me where it was located. The line had 5 people infront me and took a long time getting checked out. Wished they had check out service or something else. I found this place when looking for a bookstore and it did not disappoint. It's located inside the…read moreBoca Raton library. The books are used and very inexpensive, often having discounts on top of the low prices (like $1 per book). You can also drop off your used books here for them to sell. It's run by volunteers, and they raise money such as the library's bookmobile for outreach to underserved communities in Boca Raton, the AWE Early Literacy Stations in both the downtown Boca Raton Public Library and the Spanish River Library, and the award-winning Storywalk trails at public parks, as well as other things.
