Personable guy, seemed very knowledgeable and confident he could handle our fence repair. We needed 12 or so posts replaced on our stockade fence, as they had all rotted out. Two weeks later I had to reach out to remind him to send us the estimate. A week after that on 5/8 we accepted the estimate and paid the 50% deposit. On 5/16 I reached out to see when they'd be coming out, Brian said between all the rain and other jobs they were backed up, should be another two weeks. No problem, we were in no rush. In the interim I got sick and spent some time in the hospital, totally forgot about the fence until I got out and went through my old emails, saw that I had been sent a reminder to pay the other half of the invoice for the job that had yet to be done. I texted Brian on 6/20, no response. I called or texted once a day over the next week without any response from Brian. Finally on 6/27 he texted me back "My guys are coming down Monday morning. I apologize. Should be there about nine 10 o'clock." The next day he texted me it would actually be Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning (6/30) came, the crew showed up on time, were very professional and friendly, and did a bang up job. The fence looks great and will hopefully hold up over time! Brian texted a couple times to apologize for the delay and remind me to pay the remaining amount. I told him I needed until I got paid over the weekend to settle up, and he agreed, but also sent an invoice reminder at least once a day, sometimes twice, until I paid ​on Sunday 7/5, which I found ironic since he ghosted me with zero communication for weeks, but was very communicative when it came time to get paid. TL;DR The Fence Solutions estimate was good, and I can't speak highly enough about the crew that came out to actually do the work, but I won't be calling Fence Solutions again after the weeks of zero communication while having our 50% deposit. A weekly update text during that time would have been great, or at the very least a timely response to my texts and calls would have been appreciated.

I'm so angry every time I look at the fence. It is not level, followed the ground and cut the fence to fit around tree roots. Used materials with noticeable defects. Did not do everything on the estimate which included a chin link fence. They removed a small portion and left sharp wire spikes sticking out of the ground. I live next door to an elementary school. Another contractor told me , knows and likes this company, that they took advantage of me as older, female. I have had amazing work done by contractors at a fair price, going over and above.

UPDATE(1 week later): After Jose and his amazing crew came to remove our boarder hedges, we had 3 different fences installed (stockade, picket and vinyl with double gates across driveway) and our deck stairs fixed. Jose offered suggestions and solutions, remained in constant contact with us during the many projects and even fixed my neighbors cracked post! He created an amazing new walkway to the new deck stairs and helped to install a small piece of lattice under the deck. He is legit a jack of all trades. You know how the internal conversation goes with yourself; uuggg.... "I have to hire a contractor for XYZ", schedule site visits, get quotes, follow up questions.... by the time you've had 6 companies come to your house, you just want it over with. Last year we started our adventure of getting a new fence installed. I called the "big 2" fence companies in the area (you know who they are). I had to re-read the quotes several times. Simple 6ft vinyl/PVC grey fence with post caps and spring hinged latching gate. I asked "would the fence be gold plated? or does this price include the rest of the neighborhood?" Niether thought I was funny. Late winter this year (2026) we decided to contact medium size/ more local companies. Every estimator we met was personable and knowledgeable. But Fabio from Fence 101 (owner) came prepared with samples, booklets, and the most important thing.... time. He and I walked around my yard, assessed what I had, gave suggestions, showed me options, discussed materials and we talked about family/kids etc. It was like talking to that new person you meet, that you immediately have repour with. He is really a quality gentleman. (I have a Gibbs gut that says so). All the quotes we received this year were within a hundred bucks or so of eachother. Price was not the major factor in our decision to hire F101, but their price the most economical and competitive. The install crew arrived when they were scheduled and worked ALL day; of both two days. They didn't bang out at 2pm like most contractors, these guys were gettin' it done. When I asked them questions about panels, post depth, wind resistance, yadda yadda, they stopped working, took the time to fully answer my queries and were happy to engage. These guys were hard working, strong, accurate and respectful of my small piece of the world. And they were having fun. In two days 95% of the job was complete. The gate and post tops came on a separate order. The gate arrived at Fabio's shop the wrong color. He contacted me right away, and informed me he already had the correct color on order. It was being delivered the next day and would be installed ASAP ... on a SATURDAY! SATURDAY? Really? I was impressed. Fabio himself and (what I believed to be) his lead field person, installed the post caps and gate before I got home from grocery shopping. (my wife being away on a trip) They had it complete by 10:30 AM. Boom! It was done. Seriously 5 stars . When the Queen returned she was blown away! She was stunned as to how awesome it looked. Fence 101 asks for half down deposit, which more than resonible. They have a bunch of colors available with different posts caps and hardware. Materials are USA local NY. Price includes install and material warranty. They also took my 40 year old stockade fence down for recycling. Fabio followed up with us after the job to make sure there were no issues. I'm including some pictures and videos (from my security cameras) of the work; his crew removing the old fence, installing the new, etc. One vid clip is Fabio on the phone with me discussing which way the gate should open/close/swing/latch.
