I had a bunch of branches from wind damage piled up in the corner of my yard, including a 13 inch branch. They responded to my post the same day - the next day they were here and took care of the job of clearing out the large pile. The price was more than fair and the guys did a great job, but what really impressed me is that they were running late due to a job taking longer than expected. They called me to let me know they were still coming. Arrived at the end of the day, sun going down, but rather than reschedule - they came. Well done! Figueroa asked me if I had time today, I said : "I have until about 10:15am then I have an appointment, Or after 2p today." This was at 8:50am He never got back to me until 3Pm. Very poor communication for a business. People don't have time to wait around for an answer, it is Sunday yes but there is more to do than wait on someone to schedual an appointment. I finally told him never mind, I will contact someone who actually wants to work. read more

Figueroa's Landscaping and Masonry recently repaired our front walkway. It had many bluestones that over the years had been damaged and had pieces that had broken off. They removed the damaged ones and replaced them with new stones. They also fixed the steps that lead up to the walkway ( these were no longer level and were sinking in several places ) so that they were perfectly level again. They did a very good job. When we needed someone to replace our front walkway, we called what felt like a million companies. Many just never called us back. Some scheduled appointments to give us estimates and never showed up. We were about to give up and try our hand at masonry ourselves when we found Figueroa's using a local Google search and decided to give them a call. Yeralvis got back to us on the same day. He asked us to text him the address and showed up within the hour because he was working at a job site in our neighborhood. We needed a new retaining wall, a new patio, and a new walkway to our front door. What a pleasure to work with Mr. Figueroa -- he provided a quote promptly, answered all of our questions, and was able to start work on our project within two months. Once work began, we (and our neighbors!) were quite impressed with how hard they worked, and the pace with which progress was made. All the materials are first-rate, and the results are spectacular. Each night, at the conclusion of work, they tidied up the work site, and marked off work areas with "caution" tape. Once the project was finished, they spruced up surrounding areas. When selecting contractors, I find that reliability and keeping their word are paramount. Sadly that was not my experience with Figueroa's. The first time we had an appointment, he called an hour in advance and left a message that he was in the area earlier than expected, so could i call him. I was outside and didn't get the message for ten minutes, but then I called him right back. He had left the area by then, told me he was heading up to Pawtucket and would not come back that day, so we made an appointment for the following week. That was one afternoon wasted. Never showed up/called/ texted for the next scheduled appointment - another day wasted. It's been over three weeks, and not a word. Some of the other reviews here suggest that when and if he actually does show up, he has been known to do a good job. My experience, however, shows him to be irresponsible and disrespectful, so beware. read more
