If I could give more than five stars, I would without hesitation. Dr. Mohr is truly exceptional. What we appreciate most is his thoughtful, conservative approach--he never rushes into surgery and always makes sure every possible step is explored first. When my mother needed back surgery, we felt completely confident placing our trust in him. Dr. Mohr has an incredible bedside manner. He genuinely listens, takes his time to explain everything in a way you can understand, and makes sure you feel informed and supported. He carefully walks you through all your options, along with the pros and cons, and patiently answers every question or concern. Unlike many doctors who rush appointments or push surgery, Dr. Mohr puts his patients first. His compassion, honesty, and dedication truly make him stand out, and we are so grateful to have found him. This was the worst doctors office I've ever dealt with. I would give negative stars if I could! I was a first time patient. I had to wait 45 min to see the nurse practitioner which I was never asked/told before that's who I was seeing. As a first time patient I wanted to see the doctor. They did an X-ray and basically told me my back pain was from picking up my infant son over the last several months. I felt as though I was not heard at all. THAT WAS NOT THE REASON THIS HAPPENED! Upon leaving they gave me a few samples of a pain medication and told me they would send in a prescription for a muscle relaxer by the end of the day. That prescription was never sent it. I called and I was given excuses like , "the doctor was in surgery all day and could not sign off", "the NP was also too busy to sign off". TOO BUSY?? As a person in extreme pain these excuses were UNACCEPTABLE! They also blamed the electronic system, whatever that means. The next day I called again and was told the doctor did not sign off because he was in the OR and that no other doctor in the practice could sign off on it in his absence. So basically they did not care that I was in pain and there was no urgency to get me my medication. The samples they gave me for pain only lasted 1 day and the pharmacy they use for that medication has to mail them to me (the full prescription) and they did not receive the sign off until late yesterday and they can't get it to me until this coming Tuesday. I have NEVER been to a doctors office that does not put in a prescription ASAP and is ready for pickup within 2 hours of the appointment. THIS IS THE WAY THESE PEOPLE DO BUSINESS! Don't walk, RUN from them. They then blamed me for calling too much and "fired" me as if I would ever even consider stepping foot in there again!!! read more

I love doctor mohr , his bedside manner is exactly what I needed, he made a treatment plan for me after seeing my mri , unfortunately pt didn't work for me so as a last resort we are moving forward with disk replacement. But threw this process he's been top notch 5 stars . read more

Dr.Mohr did a fabulous job on my back. I could not walk or stand for more than a few minutes at a time. He was the only ortho that answered all my questions and walked me through step by step on every procedure I was going going to have. read more

Horrible experience. My husband's back is completely out. It takes me a good 30 min to 1 hour to get him in & out of car(I am 5'3" and he is 6'2'). We called and made an appointment after going to Urgent Care once and the ER twice. Dr. Mohr's PA has the absolute worst bedside manners I have ever witnessed in my life. She was extremely RUDE and asked us why we were there and why not the ER. We explained that the ER said there was nothing they could do & we needed to see a Doctor. She said there was nothing they could do for us at that time & Dr. Mohr wouldn't see my husband without a MRI being done. I 100% understand that Dr. Mohr needs to be able to see what he is dealing with & that the MRI is a necessity. She sent us on our way without giving a script for more Valium & pain meds...BTW my husband's blood pressure was 186/98 due to pain. I had to borrow their wheelchair to get him to my car where I proceeded to spend the next 40 minutes trying to get him in. We went the very next morning(Tuesday, March 21) to get MRI & I called the office to schedule follow-up appointment which was scheduled for today, Wednesday, March 22 at 9:00am. We showed up this morning, after spending a good amount of time trying to get him out of the car & up to the 6th floor, & was told our appointment was Thursday, March 23 not today. I know 100% for sure it was today, Wednesday! The front receptionist sees the guy can barely walk and he for sure can't sit down because I wont be able to get him up & I'm told "Sorry there is nothing we can do". So back down to the parking lot where it takes me over 30 minutes to get him in the car!!! We did give a copy of the MRI to his Chiropractor & was told at least 1 of his disc has ruptured & it looks like most likely 2 have. So do I call 911 to get him to the ER where I know they will say see your Doctor??? I wish I could attach the pictures I have of him trying to get in & out of car!!! read more

I injured my neck in May 2017. I went to the ER next to Doctor Mohrs office. I called to schedule an appointment and they couldn't see me for 3 weeks. Advanced orthopedic has done 3 surgeries on me. I've followed the treatment plan. I saw Doctor Patel and had 2 epidural injections, physical therapy and went back to Doctor Patel and she said unfortunately it looks like surgery is my only option. Doctor Mohr can't see me for 3 weeks. I'm in agonizing pain. Meds don't work. I've called now 3 times in the last 3 days to see if they can see me earlier. No call back at all. I've spent out of pocket almost 3k dollars for zero relief and still can't get a call back or be seen sooner then August 16th. Doctor Mohrs PA is rude and he is so overbooked he can't treat his clients in a timely manner. I wouldn't recommend him ever. Advanced Orthopedics other doctors are AMAZING. Do not see Doctor Mohr if you need a timely appointment or bedside manner. read more

Dr. Mohr is the best in the business. He fixed the damage in my cervical spine caused by an accident wherein my car got turned the other way and fell into a ditch faster than I could comprehend it happening. I am pain free today because of his gifted surgical hands. Not only is he an outstanding doctor, but he is also a very kind person and a gentleman. read more

While Dr. Mohr may well be a fine and caring physician, he fails shamefully on basic attention to collateral health issues of at least one of his patients. He performed a second spine procedure on my son recently and admitted him for an overnight stay at the worst hospital in Harris County. My son is an insulin-dependent diabetic and Dr. Mohr failed to either order his necessary medications or arrange for an internist to consult and handle the problem. In addition, Dr. Mohr or his PA (for whom he is 100% responsible) failed to ensure that a medically necessary back brace was "sent over" from his office to the hospital post operatively. In addition, he or his staff scheduled the surgery for 11:30 am, it did not start until 12:42 and my son was NPO since 20:00 the previous evening until just after 17:00 the afternoon of his surgery. It's not like he wasn't aware that my son is IDDM ... My son was placed at an unreasonable risk of harm as a result of his lack of attention to details! read more

Dr. Mohr is the greatest doctor in the world as far as I am concerned. Several years ago I fell and hit my head and was paralyzed for about 10 hours total. I was taken to the ER and they did an MRI. The ER doctor's exact words were no doctor would take my case because the discs were crushed. He told me I would die in a wheelchair and depending on how strong my body was that is when I would die. I found Dr. Mohr and went in for a consultation and he did not hesitate to take me as a patient. He told me I needed surgery and explained everything in detail what needed to be done. He made me feel at ease. He performed the operation on me and I was whole again. I felt like a new person. I had to wear a brace for 6-8 weeks and I was back to work in 8 weeks. Dr. Mohr is the ONLY doctor I would ever work on my spine. His PA Jacqueline, Gabbi, and Saul are also great. Everyone who works at Advanced Orthopedics & Sports Medicine are always friendly and willing to help. From the moment you walk in the door until check-out everyone smiles and takes care of you. I have referred several people to Dr. Mohr and everyone has told me their surgeries turned out perfect as well. Sometimes sitting waiting for my yearly scan I have spoken to several people tell me they were told they would never walk again as well and Dr. Mohr performed miracles on them as well. If you need a spinal doctor you need to see Dr. Alexander Mohr. He is the best. read more
