Many reviewers throw around terms like "reasonable" or "fairly" priced, only to learn that these are euphemisms for "high priced, but I'm ok with it". Danny is very fairly priced. I thought he did an awesome job and I am pleased with the cost. I would add that the experience with Danny himself is more than a simple transaction. He is very warm and personable. It feels really good to do business with someone you really feel deserves the business. He is committed to doing a great job and he is genuinely trying to do it all right. He communicated frequently and asked permission to come over to survey the area AGAIN and make sure he could get his equipment into the neighborhood w/o impacting my neighbors. So thoughtful! The owner & his crew were unprofessional and showed no concern for mistakes made while working on our trees & land. The list of complaints is long, but the most egregious are the following: 1. Said he would call the day he began work to inform us they would be on property. He did not. I returned home from work to find a brush pile on our curb. 2. On the first day while they were unsupervised, he cut down a tree that we specifically had a long conversation about & he was told not to touch it. It's gone. And it was my son's favorite tree. 3. After discussing our evergreen tree, Bob (owner) advised that there was only minimal trimming that could be done to the tree and still have it look good. When he did, he stripped it bare to the trunk from the ground up to about 7ft. on one half of the tree & left the other side uncut. We had to ask him to lift up the other side to see if it would look decent & salvage the tree or if we'd have to cut it down. 4. The second day they worked on our property, again did not notify us they were on the property and did not give us the chance to bring our dogs inside. They started their chainsaws & scared my small dog so badly, he got out of the fence and took off. They made no attempt to notify us that he was gone & it was only after my husband heard the chain saws & went to investigate that he was told that the dog had gotten out. The dog was gone 5 DAYS!!!! The only reason we got him back was that the dog eventually approached an elderly lady after getting so hungry he was trying to find food. The lady called the vet who called us. Bob of Lakeside will tell you he sent his crew out looking for the dog, but I was also out looking and saw his crew while they were "looking". Specifically, the young man searching by the lake in our neighborhood looked away from his phone once while walking the entire length of the 10 acre lake. The worst part about the whole ordeal was that Bob attempted to evade responsibility for everything that went wrong and expressed that he thought they'd done an excellent job. I wish I'd dismissed this company after they cut down the wrong tree as my son suggested. I'd not had to deal with any of the other disasters created by this company.
