In 1993, the publisher of the newspaper I worked for introduced me to the world of fine cigars. Some years later, I moved to a rural area where Dutch Masters were the best you could find. Even after moving back to the metro, I didn't get back into premium cigars until my son-in-law brought me a few Cubans he picked up on a cruise. As I began visiting the local shops, I found so much had changed since the 90s. My beloved Partagas were barely to be found. The folks in the largest shop around almost seemed annoyed by my questions. Others were nice, but not particularly helpful. The exception was R&K. I had stopped there occasionally to grab something for a special occasion, but Chase and Frank went out of their way to help me find cigars to my liking. I've been a regular ever since. The humidor's not the largest around, but Chase keeps several boutique brands I've come to enjoy, the prices are comparable to other shops, and they welcome folks who wander in from the bar next door as much as they do the regulars. The only requirement of the membership-free lounge is that you buy the cigars you smoke there from them. They're as unpretentious as can be. It's just a comfortable place to relax, visit with friends, and some a good cigar. read more

R&K is my go to for Pipe Tobacco. The smoke room is un pretentious and the staff is very helpful. Good place to shop if you are a beginner tobacconist or cigar smoker. read more

Quality pipes and tobacco in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Picked up some Peterson Old Dublin and I.Q. tobacco and some much-needed supplies. Solid collection of tobacco and pipes. They even had a few Missouri Meerschaum cobs in stock. Looking forward to making a return trip soon. Update: Made a return trip today to pick up some new tobacco and a few other supplies. Staff was just as friendly and helpful as before. A very relaxed and laidback atmosphere. Spent a little time in their smoking lounge with the Cornell & Diehl "Autumn Evening" I picked up. Great tobacco shop experience. Highly recommend. read more

I don't know what else you would want from a cigar shop. They know how to manage the humidor room. The owner is very knowledgable, he will answer your questions, and guide you on your road to becoming an aficionado. The owner has his dog there, and it is an adorable doggie. You'll probably never know the dog is there because it is so well behaved. You could be a new cigar smoker and feel comfortable with the choice you make on your own based on the notes they have to describe their inventory; their excellent inventory. They also have pipes, pipe tobacco, cigarette tobacco, vape stuff, and lighters. read more

R&K has such a great selection of, not only cigars, pipe tobacco, flavored and unbleached cigarettes and e-cigarettes but, countless lighters, pipes, humidors, flasks and more that are perfect to treat yourself with or gift to a loved one (holiday gifts, wedding gifts, and I always get a cigar from R&K for a father/grandfather when a new baby is born). They are in such a convenient location and, if you need to relax for an hour or two while enjoying a cigar, their smoke room is stocked with Free cold drinks (or use their Keurig on a cold day:) and the regulars are always kind to new visitors. The staff is so welcoming and helpful; if you don't know what you're looking for, they will guide you without any pressure or arrogance. Especially the manager/owner, he is such a sweet young man. There's a lounge to smoke in. That's not old smoke you bonehead. That's fresh smoke. Don't rate a cigar shop for being too smoky. Pure genius. read more

Unfortunately I was a little disappointed. Based on the reviews my expectations may have been a little high. There is a better selection of lighters and pipes than there is cigars. With respect to the service, that's up in the air as well. I had planned on purchasing a few cigars to smoke in their lounge, while drafting a couple business emails, before returning to the airport. Well that changed after my Mormon business partner was told that if he didn't buy a cigar he couldn't sit in the lounge with me. Rules are rules, so we left and went to a bar next door, where I enjoyed a drink and smoked a Gloria Cubana "Series R". Good thing I was smart enough to bring a few of my own sticks on this quick turn around trip. Just something to consider before frequenting this particular shop fellow travelers. read more

I've only visited this location a few times but these visits have been wonderful. I am not a cigar buff at all and the workers really made me feel like I was at home. I walked in and talked about what type of taste I was looking for and "BOOM" they gave me several choices of cigars. Great location and I will definitely visit again. read more

This isn't the best cigar shop in OKC, but it IS the closest to where I live, which means on those occasions when my husband and I decide we'd like a cigar, this is where we tend to go. The staff is always polite, and the helpfulness varies by who is working-- there's an older guy who knows a ton, and a younger guy who... doesn't, but is still quite nice. The cigar room is fairly small, but well humidified. The cigars are laid out by brand, without a lot of description-- one thing I think this store would benefit from is just some little cards with details of what the character of the cigar is like, similar to the cards found at wine stores. They have a good variety of brands, especially for a newbie, ranging from standard classics to the weird stuff like the Drew Estates Acid line (I smoke Acid Kuba Kubas-- which, I know, are a terrible excuse for a cigar, but they taste SO GOOD) which is kept a little away from the more normal cigars. They'll also have different "styles" of the same cigar-- I don't know what its called, but some are longer and thinner, some are shorter, some are tapered at each end, which allegedly gives different smoking experiences. I've never used the smoking room, but it's, well, there? It generally is empty and has something on the TV, if that's your thing. They also feature all the djarum line of clove cigarillos, a lot of loose flavored tobacco, and a wide selection of accessories. read more

At First They were helpful. Then they started giving me Bogus Merchandise. Then they Stiffed me at the Cash Register, even after I showed the Receipt to the Person who sold the Product Me! Twice the Wrappers fell apart, which I would guess indicates faulty Humidification! Enter at your own risk!!!!! read more
