Amazing! I've never had something professionally framed. They made me so comfortable. I had 2 pieces to be framed . My daughter's diploma from law school along with her BAR certificate. Dolan was amazing ! I let him know I wanted a timeless frame and my first concern is to protect her hard work. I also had a price range . He went above and beyond my expectations! I went to R&M precisely because it had such good online reviews. This was my first and only time I'll use them. I had one canvas that I wanted stretched only (so, no frame, it just gets stretched over 2" stretcher frame) and another that was to be framed. It took 6 weeks, with one excuse after another about why this is taking such a long time. Worse yet, in that time, I never received a proactive call to explain why the delay. Starting at week 3, I had to call every week and ask what on earth is going on and when I can expect to receive my art back. In that time, I heard everything from oops, the wrong size stretcher bar was sent, to the owner is out of town and apparently is the only one who can get mail or however things are sent, to it was bowed and they have to start over again. Perhaps worst of all when I went to pick up my pictures, their person never offered a thanks for your patience, a sorry for the inconvenience, or anything beyond an 'I'll get your art.' So, not even when they had an opportunity to show a little humanity and treat me like a valued customer did they even hit that low bar. What could have turned into a positive experience where they tried to earn my future business, turned into a further confirmation that this is simply not a company I want to do business with. While their staff left much to be desired, I must give the owner Rene props for being a stand up guy. He read my initial review, called to apologize, and simply owned that his staff dropped every conceivable ball they could. He understood I likely wouldn't come back, but it still mattered to him to acknowledge my experience hadn't been good. And for that, I'll consider giving him a try some day. read more

Rene and crew are simply the best. A beautiful array of moldings are available for custom frames. They make standard sizes with the leftovers and are extremely reasonably priced. Being an artist, I've purchased many of them. Those premade frames include them putting it together and the glass, great deal. When I took the pieces I wanted framed into R & M, I was greeted immediately and told that Dolan could help me. I showed him the pieces I wanted framed and he asked about my style, etc. Dolan showed me many different frame and matting styles for each piece, not making me feel rushed at all (I had my two year old with me and the shop owner even brought out some crayons and paper to help keep her distracted while we talked). We went in and the person working said the person we want to help us is "Stephanie" but that she finally had a day off. We explained and left what we wanted done. We got busy and never heard from her so my husband stopped by and she never received the email but said there wouldn't be a problem that she'd get it done for us by the next week, when we needed it! Very satisfied with the custom framing R&M did for my diplomas. Had passed by the small shop on S St hundreds of times, but never thought about getting anything framed. With my diplomas at risk of damage from being stored in boxes and no exact frame sizes/good options online, I decided to invest in custom frames by a local business. R&M was one of the top reviewed shops, so I trusted the reviews. The store is small, with some example pieces and framed art for sale on the walls, with another room of pre-made frames in the back. One of the managers patiently helped me select the frame color and style, matte and proportions of everything, providing helpful recommendations along the way. The pricing seemed in line with what custom framing usually costs (the more ornate, extra matting, etc. adds to the price). Within a couple of weeks, I got a call to pick up my finished pieces. They did a fabulous job. 100% happy customer and worth the pretty penny I spent. The owner carried them to my car for me. My diplomas are now safe from damage and ready to be displayed with pride.
