Fast patch responded almost immediately to the Yelp query, provided a quote that was reasonable, and allowed me to schedule promptly. Vincent arrived on time, was extremely polite, and our cat loved him (ultimate test). The work was more complex than anticipated by I still paid the originally quoted rate, the wall looked perfect afterwards, and the surrounding furniture was kept in pristine condition. Highly recommend and will hire them for any future drywall needs.

That alone was concerning, but it got worse from there. They only did work in one room, which they stopped painting the ceiling a foot away from the wall and it is very noticeable. We were then told the complete job would be delayed, and it ended up being put off for two weeks. During that time, we had already moved all of our furniture out of the space, expecting the work to be done--so we were left living in an empty living room for no reason. On the day they were finally supposed to come back and complete the job, which I had planned to show them the poor painting finish, they didn't call to discuss, they just emailed us and said they believed the cracking might be due to a structural issue and that they were no longer comfortable doing the work. At that point, we were back to square one after weeks of inconvenience, with no solution and no accountability. The lack of follow-through, poor communication, and last-minute cancellation made this a very disappointing experience.

Long story short, I requested that all of the new connections be made in boxes that were accessible, such that if there is ever an issue, the connection points are easily discoverable and accessible. Despite the communication, the net result was that they left 2 hidden connections in the ceiling, and what's worse, they used 14 gauge wire on a 20 amp circuit. While communicating about the boxes etc, they were not honest on 2 different occasions; once where I had to push back for them to expose a connection that was hidden, and another time when I discovered the hidden connections they created in order to expose a connection in box. I had another electrician come out to fix the issues after I discovered the hidden connections and 14 gauge wire. Now, for what is worth, I don't know how much the issue stemmed from Rocky or the crew he had on the job. If they just did the structural work and the drywall, I'd easily give them 5 stars, but because of the unfortunate experience with their electrical work, I had to bring it down to 2 stars. If they just did electrical, I would have easily given then 1.

Like many other Handy-person companies have begun doing in the last five years or so, they impose a minimum time limit to ensure a minimum service fee. I required several basic repairs around my residence, which necessitated the use of a ladder, screws, and a screw anchor. One repair was time-sensitive, and the company initially offered immediate repairs but suggested returning a few weeks later due to them being booked up. This approach was reasonable and appreciated. However, after further communication with the company, I discovered for the time sensitive repair, they required a $250 deposit prior to any work starting, and would charge their minimum two-hour fee of $300. The job involved simply reattaching one side of an outdoor sun shade, resulting in an estimated total of $820.85 for all of the repairs. As a homeowner I've had several estimates and repairs completed by Handy-person services over the last few decades, but this one has to be the most unreasonable. In contrast, I contacted another Handy-person service company today that arrived at my residence within 30 minutes of my initial contact. They provided an on-site estimate and completed all the necessary repairs in a single hour. The total cost was $110.50, which included tax. This experience met my expectations. The service was reasonably priced, and the handyman was professional and skilled. I now have established a go-to handyman who I can build a lengthy business relationship, year after year. It is unacceptable to ask customers to pay for labor before the work is completed. Materials may be charged, but labor should not be. So glad I found this new Handyman service company. I will definitely be leaving a positive review for them.

When the day of came I got a phone call explaining some concerns that they had about the job and they offered multiple solutions. They were a little bit more expensive than some of the other companies I reached out to, but they differentiated themselves with their professionalism, prompt communication, and incredible quality of service. I'll definitely be hiring them again.

I got Dan's information from another contractor that did great work in my attic and I'm glad I did!…read moreHe was very reasonably priced in comparison to the other bids I got for my relatively small project. An electrician had punched a hole in my ceiling when he was working up there and had attempted to fix it himself, but the result was a total hack job so I had to hire a real professional to fix it. I've attached before and after pictures with this review. The job took two days as promised by Dan and I couldn't be more happy with the results as I couldn't even tell where the damage was after he fixed it. The reason I docked a star is because the texturing material he used smell really bad and even after numerous hours of airing it out and painting over it twice (during the cold snap), it just wouldn't go away. After talking to Dan about it, he suggested using kilz primer first before painting and that finally did the trick. I just wish I was told that earlier on so I didn't have to paint my ceiling 4 times. Heads up that he won't take off his shoes so if you're OCD like me, I'd lay down some of your own protection for the flooring ahead of time. Despite the above, I would definitely recommend Dan for dry wall work and would use him again myself. Thank you!

Here's what I love: * They clearly understand all phases of drywall, and they do it all. * Their quality of workmanship is exceptional * I honestly believe the place was cleaner when they left than when they arrived! * They perfectly matched the look of the drywall between the places in the kitchen we remodeled and the rest of the room. This is a "70's house" so that isn't necessarily easy, but they did it! * They listened AND gave great advice! * They were on time, on budget, and did a great job! These are two brothers who have grown up around drywall (their dad also had a drywall company). I can't say enough good things about them! Thank you, thank you, ZIP for helping make my new kitchen just that much better! YAY!!!
