I was in need of a refrigerator. I found several online that would work perfectly. I decided to purchase locally so if I had any problems I would have to jump through hoops for repair. boy was I wrong. my fridge is not even a year old and has completely stopped working, after growling for 2 days. I called immediately when it started growling and even though it is not even a year old, I was told to call the manufacturer. After a very long process of answering ridiculous questions, they sent me an email to self diagnose. that did not solve my problem. I called again and after arguing with someone telling them I didn't think the problem couldn't be solved over the phone, they connected me with repair. it is now a week and 2 days without a fridge or freezer, I'm waiting. very disappointed. read more

Bill needs to retire or be fired. He claims he does not get a commission and that shows. Should have walked out of the store during the buy because he did not act like we mattered (cocky and arrogant...no sales experience). We bought anyway because we try and support local businesses. To our mistake, we discovered the size of refrigerator was too tall because of the hinges. Called to cancel before they arrived for delivery. Spoke to Bill again and true to himself, argued our refrigerator was a "special order" when it is our CHOICE of a counter depth to keep a restocking fee. Clearly it is not a special order since every store around you can order it from. Never coming here again...I highly suggest a retire or fire for Bill. read more

I thought I'd like to support a small business when it came time to purchase an upright freezer. I went into the store and selected the medium Crosley upright. My salesman, Matthew, wrote it up and i asked them to deliver whenever they're in my area. They delivered the upright and the front of the freezer looked like no moving blanket was used because it was all scratched up. They used touchup paint, but I wanted a new door since it was $1,000 and new. They ordered a door. In the meantime, I plugged it in and waited a few hours and went to check it. It wasn't cold like a freezer, more like a fridge. I got the owner's manual. You have to set it with the digital lights to be a freezer. Ok, all set. Then I thought what happens if there's a power outage? So I called Crosley technical support. Turns out, if there's an outage, it goes back to factory settings. It's a refrigerator! If I'm out of town, everything thaws! Yikes! So I called and got Matthew on the phone. He says, "I don't know what to tell you, dear. Maybe buy a generator." I asked to speak to someone who could help. There was nobody there until the 19th. Crickets. I called and got Matthew again. They want a 30% restocking fee to exchange it for one that is a freezer all the time. Then Matthew says, "It's the law." He said there's nothing they can do and the manager won't return a call. Fantastic-- my freezer was having major issues. I definitely needed a replacement. Called the store, Bill was extremely helpful. Found one that I could have in a few days. Delivery today by awesome guys. Arrived on time-- removed old freezer. Set up new one. Removed all packing from inside freezer and leveled it. Thank You. read more

They suck! The salesman Bill is absolute a**hole to deal with. They claim to price match and he gave us a hard time about how great their financing was and the cheaper price from Home Depot equals out to their financing. When we had to cancel the order, he would not refund us our whole amount claiming there is a restocking fee, which they never informed us of this. The lady we spoke to before him told us no problem with the refund. Bill tried to claim that the counter depth refrigerator we ordered was a special order cause it wasn't readily available in the warehouse and that's why we had to pay the restocking fee. Even though there were 18 of the same fridge ordered prior to us receiving ours. Last time I checked, counter depth fridges were pretty standard now-a-days and the most appliance stores do not have thousands of appliances sitting around readily available to be distributed. Bill also insisted that I must have bought another refrigerator from somewhere else. The reason we had to cancel was because we were off on our measurements by a quarter inch and it would not have fit without us tearing out cabinets. Do not go there for anything and if you do, do not deal with Bill!!! read more

my wife and I bought an Amana washer/dryer set and in 16 months the transmission went out and spewed oil all over our laundry room. I called the mfg and was told we had no warranty. Their mfg warranty is one year. When Mr. Landa came to check out the machine was a plastic piece of junk that would cost more to repair then to purchase a new one. I would hope that RW McDonald to be more proactive regarding the appliances they sell, and at least use this as reason to either stop selling junk, or advise customers of the problems with Amana washers. We had to shell out another $522 for a new washer. That amounts to $32.62 a month for laundry. It would be cheaper to take it out and have it done. read more

The sales staff is very nice when you are purchasing. I could have made my purchases from a "big box" store but thought I should support our local businesses and I was hoping the customer service would be better. I waited six weeks for an order, and finally called the store for some sort of arrival estimate, only to be told I had to call back when my sales person was in. Oddly, the same day, I received a call from a different person who informed me my order was in. It begs the question, how long was my purchase sitting at the store? Then I had a Warrenty issue. The receptionist was rude, she lied to me, and the service department first insisted there was no problem and then agreed to submit my claim. It has been two months and I never heard back from them. read more

DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL Received a washing machine as a gift from my mom. She bought it from RW McDonalds and about a month after she purchased it, it started ruining my clothes by tearing them. I asked my mom if she got an extended warranty and she said nobody even offered her one. I called RWMcdonalds to see if I could exchange it for a different model or buy an extended warranty and they would not do a thing. I claimed under the warranty and they replaced a few parts. Needless to say, the washing machine continued to ruin my clothes. I called their customer service number and they told me to basically get over it since it was not a life or death issue. Awesome. Thanks for nothing Whirlpool and RWMcdonalds. It would be really helpful if sales associates at RWMcdonalds knew more about the products they carry and didn't sell poor quality appliances... My mom was trying to support a local business and got a piece of junk. Will never shop there again. Going to Facebook next. If you want loyalty RW Mcdonalds, you should stand by the items you sell. read more
