    Amazing food!!

Absolutely loved this place. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Marisa was our server. We had the stingray and pork cheek which were both divine. Finally we ordered the desert with the lava cake which was incredibly delicious. We ordered red wine (Vinho Tinto) from the Douro region. Also 20 year Tawny Port for after dessert to finish our last night in the Azores. Dinner was amazing a perfect farewell! If you get the chance to have Marisa as your server it will be a special treat she is the best!! We mentioned that we like to cook so she even showed us the kitchen!!

I love this place. The curry shrimp and grilled octopus were my go to meals. Great staff! Great managers! They really made it comfortable and pleasant to be on the island.

Local beer…read morewas a huge pull for us to choose this restaurant and there were a fair amount of options. The food was okay. Fried potatoes were the biggest hit. Not pictured was one of the burgers which got the best reviews otherwise. The charcuterie board was nice but the olives had such a strong and honestly off-putting smell that was also on the boiled potatoes-would not order those again. The views from the restaurant were truly incredible though and made everything worth it.

I was aware of this place and wanted to check it out so we made our way up the hill after dinner. The place is the only one we have been to on Terceira so far that had more than super bock. We were quickly greeted, shown a table and given many menus of beers to choose from. I'd say there are about 25 beers you can get here. That and a full bar is here too. Not like a snack bar where they have 6 bottles but a full on bar. So if you're looking for a cocktail, scotch, whisky or something you'll have better luck here. The place is decorated with all sorts of pirate stuff and there was music and a tv. Staff was super friendly and fast and the drinks are reasonably priced. Worth checking out if you're chasing beers. Cheers!

Even though it was a tiny place, they had a room that was able to seat all of us on a long bench like table. We came here based on other friends' recommendations of their house burger. Many of us got the house burgers and they were delicious. Really juicy meat and great toppings and all for something like 4 euros. Other people got the house soup and it was a traditional Terceira soup they were serving that day. Very flavorful and really hit the soul. I got the Salmon salad and though it sounds boring compared to the other things my friends got, I absolutely loved it. The smoked salmon was really great and they give you so much! The salad was really filling and satisfying. I have to say the best part of the meal was the hot cocoa. This was not a cocoa I have ever tasted. my friend got it first and after trying hers, I knew I had to get my own. The cocoa was rich in flavor and so so thick. It was almost like melted chocolate but not that heavy. They steamed the milk and it became creamy and rich and I feel like that only happens with fresh milk. The whipped cream on top just made it go over the top with flavor and deliciousness. I did not find it toothachingly sweet but just the right amount of sweetness that makes you keep wanting to come back for another snip. I seriously would come here just for their hot cocoa. It was really memorable and something I know I will crave but not be able to find in America. Overall, I highly recommend coming here for lunch and grabbing a bite to eat. Their food choices are all so delicious and really cheap! Decor was pretty hippy and bohemian like the other review said. A lot of interesting things to look at. Great little cafe!

Had the bacon cheeseburger and probably should have gotten the house one with their special sauce…read more It was good but the bun seemed to fall apart . The hot chocolate looked amazing and ended up being a very thick and real chocolate so be prepared it's rich and hot and yummy. They had live music the Saturday night we went but apparently don't always. Place was packed after 10pm. Very cool decor and the ladies running this place know their patrons and are easy going - something I think others may find dismissive. European restaurants in my experience generally don't bring a check unless you ask, don't seat you unless you have a reservation (seat yourself), and if you want something you just simply ask them. Some of the nicest people are on the island of Terceira - based on my trip here - and the staff here was no different.
