Let me just start off by saying I've read quite a few reviews and I am sorry their experience was not so great. All I can say is that we have NOT had any issues. Also they are so laid back that You should be able to talk about any issues you may have. Anywho we were greet upon entry and the staff was very helpful and polite.. the checking process was very easy. The lounge was clean, the place was well lit. The wait time was not long at all. I love the fact that they take us all back as a family together. Princess was very good with my kiddos. They had a very good experience with the X-rays and the teeth cleaning. Everyone was cool and didn't have any complaints. Dr. Michael is amazing with the kiddos. We love the fact that he is so gentle and patient with them. Wyatt was nervous but he made him comfortable enough to open is mouth and let him check him out. Kenn got his teeth cleaned and Wasvery nice and pleasant. They let Kenn know that every he needs done next. So he will be back to get his tooth filled and the chip fixed. So now it's my turn to get a cleaning. Rebecca did my cleaning and usually I dread the polishing and initial cleaning because it seems so painful. This time was good it did not bother me at all. I have a hole in my back wisdom tooth that's hurting right now so I'll be back to get it pulled. I need a couple of things done to get my mouth straight and Dr. Rabel and I have talked and devised a great plan to get me where I need to be so let's geaux I'm an ready. This experience was even greater than the first. When I tell y'all..... I'm an so thankful he fixed my minor imperfections from the first time. Due to Covid that year everything was shut down. I had a tooth that broke, one cracked and the other chipped off... So long story short the teeth were very sensitive to me brushing, eating and drinking. Now that they are fixed I have no problems!!!!! Also the other waiting room was clean and neat plus, bathrooms were clean too. If you've never been to a real Dentist, I guess you would think this place would be worthy... cheap dental care, yes. Professional dental care, No. I've been going to Rabel dental for about 12 years and hated every minute of it.. But, they were the only dentist provider for my insurance. From being put in a dental chair in a room that is filthy and no longer used. From waiting an hour after I'm finally in a room waiting on a dentist. From keeping my top denture for 8 days for a repair that was told would be 2 days. Can you imagine being without them for that length of time. Lindsey or anyone, would not even return my calls. When it was finally ready, Lindsey said she had been too busy to return my call. By the way, this is my 3rd set of dentures, so I'm pretty versed. My new set from Rabel was cheap, ill fitting and still is.. No adjustments have fixed this problem. My teeth are set crooked. I told the girl that, when it was fitted.I have always ate on my right side. Now, 2 years later I still can't chew right, on any side.. A total waste of time and money! I went to Rabel on Tuesday despite what some people had been warning me about. I really needed this tooth out so I took my chances. I get to the back and I'm, for one, not introduced to the dentist so i can get comfortable--ok, cool. But he immediately starts. He grabbed my mouth after the lady put the thing in my mouth and he ain't waste no time STABBING me in the gums! When i say stabbing, i mean stabbing. After he stabbed my gums in two places he tells me I'll feel pressure--ok cool that's expected--I've has an extraction before. Omg it was so horrible i started crying and damn near falling off the table. As I'm falling, he turns and grabs the numbing machine and stabs me deeeppp and while he's doing it, he's saying "you shouldn't feel pressure after this." But not at any moment did he atleast acknowledge bad the pain was or how i was barely even on the table. Ok so then he grabs the tool to pull the tooth out and he is using TWO hands looks like with all his weight and might to get the tooth to crack and he says "ok that medicine went to the gums it's no way you feel ALL this!" At this point I'm balling and crying and have even grabbed his wrist because i just want it to end! I'm really not sure where the nurse kept going but seems like when she was in there he was more gentle but not really but when I'd notice she wasn't in there, is when there would be so much drama and pain. In the end, she appeared from wherever and helped him remove some of the pieces of tooth fragments from my mouth and inserting the suction tube. Nobody walked me out, they just said "that's it" and i walked myself out to the area to go pay. Also as I'm typing and now that i think of it, when i first heard or felt the first crack and felt blood begin to flow, he didn't even attempt to grab the large piece that was damn near lodged in my throat nor did he suction the blood so i was making gargling noises and leaning to the right to try to help the large piece move away from my throat as to not swallow it or choke. What's crazy is, this was done this morning but it's all just now coming back to me this evening (i guess because of the sedative they instructed me to take the morning of) but my memory is just now coming back of all of what happened. That was the scariest experience ever. I am 36 years old and my pain tolerance is pretty high. This was out of order. This was unethical. This was unprofessional. This was a nightmare. No one can change my mind! It was MY experience! Also, after sharing my story to others at work and with friends, they aaalll said "you have to go to the brother Mike--he's the best, but the other brother is very aggressive and has run several people off including kids." This kinda made me remember that i had the brother (Mike) that Tuesday when I had my x rays done, and he was such a sweet and kind man. But anyways not that i needed another story to validate mine but it did make me feel like what i felt was what i felt! I don't think anyone enjoys going to the dentist, but I've actually been very delighted with the service and professionalism from the Dentist on down to the staff. Everyone has always friendly. The service is fast compared to other places. Dr Rabel always has a smile on his face and a peacefulness about him that just helps to make for a calm and enjoyable experience. In my case Dr Rabel went above and beyond by fixing a tooth even tho my insurance had maxed out and he knew waiting until January would cause need for a root canal he fixed the tooth for me to spare me the added cost and misery. Thank you very much Dr Rabel for all the hard work you've done for me over the years (including emergency extraction within an hour from the time I called). He's the best and I'll keep going as long as he's here. read more

Services were horrible. My daughter went in today to get her wisdom teeth pulled only to be turned away. Why? As Dr. arable came into the room she begin to ask questions and he immediately got irritated. As she was asking questions he attempted to go ahead and stick the needle into her mouth she raised her hand and he slapped it out the way and proceeded with entering her mouth with the needle without any type of warning and when she jumped he got pissed off to the point where he threw the needle down and said he's done and refused to treat her. 20 something years ago I received a similar treatment when I went into the office as a teenager to get my wisdom teeth removed only difference is I was strapped to a board and my parent was not allowed into the room with me. After weeks out of school, severe and constant pain and a strap print across my forehead. The front desk staff is kind but everyone else in the back office especially the doctors are rude ass f***. No compassion, judgmental and highly unprofessional. read more

I was afraid to go to my current Dentist due to Covid and their reluctance to disclose if the dentist and hygienist have been vaccinated. They told me at Rabel Dentistry that the Dentists have been vaccinated. I scheduled my appointment and they x-rayed my teeth and cleaned them which I didn't request. I needed a tooth pulled, the reason I made the appointment in the first place, and was scheduled to return. I was told I owed $140 at the time of the visit and that I owned another $140 when the tooth was pulled. The Dentist pulled the tooth and I made the 2nd payment and left. I received a bill in the mail today for $472.00. I was not informed of any of these charges when I saw the Dentist. I have been seeing my regular dentist for more that 20 years and have never received bills like this and I have been covered by the same insurance for the same length of time. I have read other reviews about the Rabels and how they hit patients with extra charges once they have been treated. I see now that it is true. I will be contacting my insurance company before I make any payments to them. I will definitely be returning to my regular Dentist. I was thinking of calling Rabel since I was experiencing an issue in the area tooth was pulled but I'd rather get Covid than go back to Rabel. read more

I've been going to this dentistry ever since I was a little girl and it is one of the best we have in Louisiana. The staff are very friendly, helpful and lenient on if you are 15 -20 minutes late. Dr. Michael Rabel is an excellent dentist that is very thorough, precise and knowledgeable. Very quick cleaning check up as well. Typical routine consist of xray, checkup, and cleaning if you don't have any dental problems then you go home with a nice little bag of goodies (toothbrush, toothpaste and floss). It is very clean, the clinic is getting remodel and expanding so I can't wait to see it complete! Offers services to all ages too. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst dental experience I have ever had. I went in for a filling and the dentist was extremely rough. They didn't treat my mouth with any care. I was in pain from a simple filling for 2 months. I went to another dentist to see what was wrong turns out I need a root canal. I used a completely different dentist to handle my root canal. I chose a dentist that knows how to treat a customer with care. The customer service was awful as soon as I walked in the door. Would not recommend it. read more

I was told that the tooth I complained needed to be removed actually didnt and just had to have a filling placed. Funny I went to another dentist and he explained there was no way to save that tooth that Dr Rabel said just needed a filling. He is clearly trying to protect his self from this issue. I made apt and asked if they would be able to fix a cavity the same day. They said yes just come on in. I arrived at 1pm. They took xrays and examined teeth. They said they don't have time to fill the cavity...although they do have time to clean the teeth. I refused cleaning and told them i asked if they could fix cavity prior to arriving. I drove 54 miles one way to get there. The dentist was an ass and only cared to max out my ins on fast money. I would never send a person i liked there. I would send my enemies to him. That guy screws you over to max ins out. Then he wants you to come back to work the patient over. STAY AWAY FROM THIS dr SCAM ARTIST. read more

I spent 2 1/2 hours at this appointment. The first hour was taking xrays with a new employee, and the second hour waiting. A newly required sedation fee had been implemented since my last visit (which was a nightmare) and even though the procedure was covered, the newly implemented fee was not. Having Medicaid insurance coverage did nothing for me at THIS office. If you cannot afford the fee, you will not even get the covered service. If I could pay out of pocket I wouldn't need medicaid. 2 hours of dead time in their office, and returned home with the tooth still in my head! I lost a day of wages and nothing was accomplished!
