It was the first time that I was an executor, and was made to feel that they were specialists and that I would be taken care of. During my dealings with the firm, I had to repeatedly ask for a task to be done, which ended up taking them six months. They sent me an invoice with a bulk amount, which was far more than the worth of the amount of work they done. When I asked for an itemized bill, they wrote half a dozen lines, but still it was not itemized. When I again asked for clarification, they finally admitted that their firm takes a percentage of the estate, not a dollar amount for work done. I was deeply disappointed with my dealings with the firm, and was further put off by the lawyer's dismissiveness. Lastly, they emailed me personal information regarding another client's case, and basically said, oops. Really?? It makes me wonder if anyone was emailed my information. That's the professionalism I received. I won't ever deal with them again, and would advise others not to as well.

I, as executor NEVER retained them (there is no document saying I retained them and no retainer fee was ever paid) and now they are going to collections to try to squeeze out payment for a vague, non-itemized bill for services I never asked for. Yes, I asked for 2 letters to be written for debts owing to the estate, and when I saw the completely shoddy letters, I decided that they were too unprofessional to use, so I didn't ask for them to be sent to the recipients. I then got a bill 6 months later for $650. Now, magically the bill is over $745 with no explanation. These guys are BAD NEWS! Stay away!
