K) at Sedusa Studio in Campbell. She's been one of my first pole dance instructors since 2014 at Sedusa, and have taken other pole classes with her over the years at Phoenix Pole and Aerial Arts when it was open in Berkeley as well. Mz. K has since opened FVT. Mz. K was the first pole teacher I've had who first class, asked if we've had any injuries, and what modifications we can do for them. As an acupuncturist, and Qigong instructor, I really appreciate that level of concern for students since every body is different, and helps us be more conscious of challenging movement for our physical needs. FVT is a terrific space for the pole community to expand on our dance repertoire and skills. One feels like a professional performer in that dance space. With 12 poles, there's plenty of space on smooth, gorgeous flooring to explore your sexy dance side. Did open pole dance practice and a dress rehearsal on stage to prep for PSO GG 2025 competition. Have yet to take dance classes there, but with the teachers on board, it will be a marvelous experience to explore all our pole dance dreams. Get started ASAP & get stronger and more gorgeous as you go. You won't regret it!

There's something for everyone here - dark and moody choreo classes, chair classes, Pilates-focused classes, flexibility ("fluxibility" - so cute!), intro classes for those who have never touched a pole and advanced classes for people who have trained for years. I know many dancers who drive from the far corners of the bay to train here. I can always depend on the community that flux has created - a safe space, a clean space, a welcoming space. The owners are present and feel like old friends even when you're new. I love them as instructors, performers, and mentors if you want pole career or teaching advice. If you come here, I guarantee you'll keep coming back!

They greet you and they accept walk-ins. If you want to go on a weekend then it's probably best to make a reservation. I was told it gets crowded. Lucky us, we came in on a weekday. No crowd. We watched a video on the process of making sake and we also did a self tour of the museum. We spent most of our time doing the tasting because we have never done a sake tasting before. It was very enjoyable. Karen was our lovely host and she knew enough about the sakes to help us out, The place is absolutely beautiful with paper looking birds hanging from the ceiling. Also the woodwork and displays were very elegant. I will probably visit again if I'm ever up here. I'm so glad we found it.

Before going to the tasting sake tables, we watched a video on the process of making sake in English. After the video was done, we headed to the tasting table where there were matching placards of what ticket you bought, an information card, and 3 sake cups. There was a couple sitting at the same table as us. There was an employee named Reiko who explained some of the information on the info cards that were on the table. She also showed us the rice being polished at different percentages. She also answered any questions the other people had. She did do a couple combinations of different sakes for some of the other guests to taste amd see how sake can be combined. Maybe just wish the sake tasting also came with like a little snack that could go with the different types of sake. For those non drinkers they get a bottle of water and a package of crackers.

I stopped in this store today and found what I was looking for. Finally! After gently knocking on the door to be buzzed in, we were "greeted" by a condescending elderly Caucasian woman with pure hatred in her voice asking "how can I help you". My husband quickly responded to her that "We'll let you know if and when we need you" She proceeded to follow us around the store like a hawk. We're both Latino, she did not exhibit this behavior towards the other lighter complexion clientele. I don't know much about jewelry, but my husband didn't seem very impressed with their wares and described their jewelry as "Claire's adjacent" If you're a serious jewelry collector, or a person of color, or queer, I advise looking elsewhere.

The 20th Annual Jazz on Forth Festival took place on Sunday 5/17/15 from 11AM to 5PM. I was on my way to have breakfast brunch with my dinner crew and seen all the stages and booth set up! It was such a delight. They had two music stages: One near Bette's Diner and the other near the Pasta Shop. Both stages were playing great music and had a lovely band that had me swinging my hips back and forth. They had tons of food booths even Bette's Diner selling many different varieties of foods such as: Corn on the cob, Pizza, BBQ and hotdogs. They even had a free photo booth from Photolabatory.com which is a photo print lab! Although I didn't get a chance to take a free photo I will definitely look for that booth next year! I will definitely be back to this again next year! It was tons of fun and so many venders! WAY TO GO JAZZ ON FOURTH!

It's fast-paced and she throws a lot of information at you, but the whole process is warm, interactive and accessible. I immediately felt like I could leave Ruby's home and make these cheeses (and other dairy products!) we had learned in my own. I especially love that she's found what seems like the perfect middle ground between science lesson and home-cook/homesteader understanding. She brings her personal experience in with just enough of the science and technical understanding to make home cheese making incredible accessible and attainable. I also love that IUH also has a sliding scale for fees because it demonstrates the value they put on what they teach in making these classes more widely accessible. I already have the summer farm tours on my calendar, and I can't wait to take my next class.

I just tried again today using their "unsubscribe" link. What I got back was NOT a confirmation that I'd been unsubscribed. Rather, it was a detailed email from an unknown (to me) mail server company which wanted me to click on THEIR link to actually unsubscribe. I'm not about to click on an unknown link from an unknown sender. I think a direct request using the "Unsubscribe" link in an Urban Homestead email and sent from the very email address I want unsubscribed is absolutely sufficient. I do not recommend getting on their email list.
