As the practice grew, I was pushed through their system with many doctors. (loh, Arain, shiv, Ebo) I liked Dr Ebo, he was the primary care for my family (except my mom) Fast forward they open their Dundalk location and now are a one stop shop, which is great. Scheduling appointments to see your treating physician is not easy, they dont have openings for weeks or when you call to make an appointment they want you to see their NPs. With that said, Charlie, the "nursse mgr" informed me that "Mace Medical has 20,000 patients and when he speaks he speaks for all the doctors there, if your not happy, find another provider" Charlie also proceeded with snark comments regarding my Jan. 25th 2025 visit with Dr. Ebo Yes, after 30 yrs of primary care, the Doctors there allow their staff to dismiss patients. Through their Healow app I requested a prescription refill to hold me over because I found a new doctor. Just like that, my refills were sent and they took away my access to their app, which was medical records and history needed for a new primary. If you're looking for a family friendly doctors office, this is no longer the place to go.

They are conveniently located near my home and in a medical building with one of my specialist that I had already been seeing. So far I have been pleased with my experience here. They have a easy to use patient portal where you can make appointments and view test results. They have a option for a web appointment if you just have a few questions or need a follow and don't want to travel too the office. I use the Pikesville location but they have another office is Anne Arundel County. They are taking Covid precautions now so when I arrive I sit outside and call to check in. They call back when the doctor is ready so you don't have to wait in the waiting room. They have a ample supply hand sanitizer or use at the front desk.

No attempt to establish any type or patient/physician relationship. I described the only issue I have been having, and he prescribed me an anti-depressant because it would also help with my symptoms, although I'm not experiencing any of the symptoms associated with depression. Understandable that medicine can be used for treatment of other things. Totally irresponsible to prescribe me a new medication that is known to have side effects that can alter your brain chemistry and then tell me to schedule a follow-up in ONE YEAR. However, over the last 6 months, I have experienced MANY office communication problems. This is across the board with specialists and primary care physicians. The providers' staff DO NOT return phone calls or respond to messages. I had to physically walk into the back of my primary doctor's office, (without an appointment, and no one at the front desk) to get a referral for PT after calling four times with the request. The nurse was concerned she hadn't gotten the messages, and I showed her my call log to verify the contacts. This is just one example, we have had three other concerning encounters involving cancelled appointments (on their end), records not being forwarded to specialists outside the site, and an inability to schedule or reschedule appointments as no one returns our calls. Primary doctors and nurse practitioners retire or resign and there are no replacements, the existing doctors are stretched thin. We unfortunately, after 30+ years, will be looking for a location.

Unfortunately, since her retirement and the subsequent transfer of patients to Andrea Holzman, CNP and now to Tanya Johnson, CNP the quality of care and communication has significantly declined. I have repeatedly attempted to refill a prescription by leaving voicemail messages, sending requests through the patient portal, and having my pharmacy submit refill requests. None of these attempts have received a response. Additionally, my wife has been experiencing the same ongoing issues, and I know we are not the only patients affected. At this point, I am actively seeking a new healthcare facility. I am unsure whether the current provider is overwhelmed or simply not prioritizing patient care; however, the lack of communication is unacceptable. Calls to the front desk routinely go unanswered, and messages left are not returned. This is extremely disappointing given my long-standing history with this practice.

I have had both great and terrible experiences with both clinicians and office support staff. I am…read morehappy with my current PCP at Clinical Associates. However, I felt traumatized by my treatment by a previous PCP there, her medical assistant and the office staff. All seemed careless, marginally competent at best and indifferent to whether I lived or died if it required any time, attention or effort on their part. It did not appear to be anything personal. The whole experience felt totally impersonal. This was the Woodholme office, which seems horribly poorly managed with zero quality control standards. No one ever answers the phone. You have to leave a message. Maybe they call you back within 24 hours, maybe they don't. I don't think I ever got any response to any messages sent through the patient portal to my previous PCP. I once had a telehealth appointment scheduled with her, used the link the office sent me and waited about 45 minutes without her showing up. Tried calling the office. No one answered, as usual. No one responded to my voicemail. She finally called me several hours later and claimed the staff had some problem processing my insurance. God forbid they treat me without making sure the insurance claim went through. Nevermind that my insurance hadn't changed since my previous visit and no one else has ever mentioned having this problem. I was very confused, frustrated and disappointed by the process and the lack of respect it displayed for me as a patient, especially since no one called to let me know what was going on or to check whether I could be available later. I got a perfunctory apology and the sense that my PCP did not think this was any big deal. Just one bad experience among several over a couple of years before I fired her. Should have done it sooner. Until recently, I also had a specialist at the Woodholme office, but she left the practice and wasn't allowed to tell her patients where she was going. She referred me to a colleague, which would have been fine EXCEPT when I tried in March to make a follow-up appointment, no one was available until November! Unacceptable when I'm trying to manage a serious medical condition, had just recently been put on a new medication, and had some concerns I felt needed monitoring. Fortunately, I was able to get an appointment with a few weeks with a specialist at a different practice. I used to have a fantastic PCP and eye doctor with Clinical Associates, but both retired several years ago. Since then, things seem to have gone extremely downhill. I am giving them two stars only because I like my current PCP so much. She is in the Reisterstown office, where a real person answers the phone most of the time, voicemail messages are returned the same day and my messages through the patient portal are promptly addressed. Based on my experience, I would give the Reisterstown office four stars (have had some isolated issues with one very unprofessional staff person there or else it would be five stars) and the Woodholme office zero stars.
