First, read their Google reviews & notice…read morehow they thank people for positive reviews but ignore negative reviews/don't ensure concerns are resolved. What does it say that they speak to those congratulating them but not those suffering as a result of bad experiences? My complaints: 1) doctors came in and touched me without asking consent because obviously women's bodies are objects; 2) The medical care is subpar. Because we're women and women, you know, don't deserve good healthcare, no one explained anything about the meds/what to expect. They didn't say, for example, "some people taking the hormones can't sleep," leaving me to Google at 4am what was happening to my body as if I wasn't paying them $20,000+ for their guidance. 3) communication was super unprofessional. The nurses sent instruction emails and every email had a spelling error, including the wrong address of the facility. 4) it is nearly impossible to get in touch. Even while you're spending LOTS of money, you still must call a number where a woman in Asia picks up and sends a message to the New York office to get a call back. I live a few miles away but had to call the other side of the globe to get a response from RMA down the street. That's personalized service? My two biggest complaints: 5) the mistreatment of LGBTQIA+ folx is truly wild. The marketing RMA does to "prove" how affirming they are is propaganda. FYI: being accepting of queer people and learning best practices for how to care for queer people is NOT THE SAME THING. To "lure" people in with a promise of queer-affirming care and then bombard us with exclusionary language is just cruel. You don't have to pretend to be good at treating queer folx. Just say "we accept you but know nothing about you" so we can go to people who do. It's mean to claim to know what you're doing and get vulnerable people in there only to treat them like outsiders. The number of times I was told that "all women's" partners shouldn't ejaculate after egg retrieval? The emails I got about vaginal intercourse with my male partner? UGH. One of the male doctors asked me how my husband felt about my treatment. I am a lesbian with no cisgender man in my life, which they knew. It was a defining part of my story/reason for going. I brought this up to the manager (Kim) who promised they'd change the language. I came back a month later for a 2nd round and...no changes. Have you visited the RMA website/looked at their LGBTQIA+ section? Mind-boggling how they can treat people and market themselves so differently. RMA needs SO MUCH TRAINING about queer issues. To think that they are sending out emails that fit straight paradigms with NO REGARD for how those paradigms fail to apply to a minority segment of the population, or the emotional impact it might have on that population to be that invisible, is WILD and SUCH POOR medical & intercultural practice. 6) My final complaint: I can't get a hold of anyone in there to make a complaint, short of calling the Westchester Human Rights Commission. I sent 5 emails/called 5 times but all outreach went unanswered. I wanted to share that I felt "othered," that my experience was far from inclusive, and that the language RMA used to speak about me, my body, and my plans made me feel bad about myself and my future. No response. Since RMA doesn't respond to negative reviews to learn how they can support you, I doubt I will get a response to this review. I guess that's who RMA is. I don't believe they truly care about their patients, especially queer patients. I would strongly advise queer folx to use other groups. And for any female-identified patients using RMA, be prepared to have docs walk in and stick things in you before they've even introduced themselves, asked for your consent to be touched, or explained what they're about to do. What will it take to get a call back and to be treated like a human being? What will it take for them to reach out and show that they care and are actually interested in learning how to be better?

My overall rating is dragged down by the billing department- it's been an ongoing painful process with them that we are still dealing with. As others described- I have filled out endless forms since 2023 to destroy specimen no longer needed. A year after the forms were signed, I was told there was a clinical error but my initial dates would be honored. Then the bills came. Impossible to get someone on the phone, when I finally did I was first told don't worry, it's a new billing system acting up, ignore the bills. Then the bills came again and I thought we were finally done after yet another round with the billing dept, but now a collection agency is in the mix. It's been impossible to get an accurate breakdown of what we are even being billed for and at this point I just want to pay and move on. So, beware I suppose if you choose RMA, be very clear and capture all communication so you have it if needed.

Trying to find the correct person to help with an issue or anyone at all to answer the phone in billing is near impossible. They sent a bill of mine to CBC to collect. I was never sent this bill. Nothing in the mail. No email. No phone call. Nothing before they sent it to collections. My account "financial educator" couldn't even tell me what the bill was for. I've been asking for a full statement of my account for weeks and even that is too difficult for them to manage. Trying to get information on the charge requires endless follow up on my part and it is still unresolved more than 2 months later. And this is just the latest of several issues I've had with their billing department. Since 2022, I've been asked to fill out multiple forms, consents and sign up for 5 or 6 different portals as they've changed ownership, yet still they send mail to the wrong address or text me bills instead of emailing them despite multiple requests not to text. This does not instill trust or confidence in a medical practice.  Regarding their medical staff, the doctors and nurses are nice and competent and I do believe Dr. Klein and his coordinator Jenna tried to help me and my fiancé, but the entire practice or company more accurately, feels like a factory. You don't see your doctor during most or every visit, just whoever is available on that day. One visit, I had side effects from a medication that seemed unusual and the doctor I saw said she'd never encountered it, shrugged and didn't have anything to say other than "let us know if it gets worse or doesn't go away." I also had significant side effects both immediately after and weeks after my trigger medication that I was never warned about. Reddit subs were more helpful than RMA in these cases - it seems these side effects were all fairly common. If we try again, we might have considered continuing with RMA because finding and trying a new practice is full of it's own uncertainty and risks, but after this latest billing issue, never again. Every interaction with RMA on the billing/admin side has been infuriating, riddled with incompetence, and simply bad business. There are other options out there, save yourself the frustration and avoid RMA.

Joyce is consistently kind and welcoming every time we walk through the door. Sandra patiently answers all of my questions, reassures us, and even gives me a hug when I need it most. Kim and Susan have also been wonderful to work with. The entire team is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly makes you feel like family. Fertility treatment can be an emotional journey, but this office makes you feel heard, supported, and cared for every step of the way. The surgery office by Wall Street also really makes you feel safe and comfortable, and the surgery staff and anesthesiologists are wonderful. My husband and I struggled with poor genetic quality with the embryos we produced, and Dr. Kofinas recommended trying PRP in my ovaries. Walking into the office the first time, coming off of a couple of failed ivf cycles with a previous doctor I was nervous and emotional and a little defeated. Dr. Kofinas examined me and discovered that I had many more fibroids than I had known about and a significant amount of endometriosis that I had not known about at all. He seemed confident that this was the reason I wasn't getting pregnant and we quickly scheduled my surgery to correct these issues. I can't explain the emotion and relief I felt to finally feel like there was a reason for my lack of success and not just "unexplained infertility ", the diagnosis that my previous doctor had given me. I had proceeded with multiple egg retrievals and finally a successful embryo transfer a few months ago! Through the entire process the professionalism and kindness and personalized approach to myself and every patient was exceptional. The confidence and trust I had in Dr Kofinas was truly the most comforting thing through such and emotional process. All of the staff always greeted me with a smile and answered any questions in a way that took away any fear that I'd be fixated on. This entire office, and every one I encountered along the way in the manhattan surgical center, are a collection of such special people who are truly in the right profession and I can't express how grateful I am for each and every one of them. The male doctor is not very compassionate and has the worst bedside manner that I have seen. For my egg retrievals, the anesthesiologist was literally 3 hours late and I lost the entire lot. I got no apology and no refund. The doctor blamed me and said I had suboptimal fertility and refused to even do an implantation. I guess he didnt want to affect his numbers and thought that I would ruin his implant-to-pregnancy ratio. He made me freeze my embryos forcing me to pay storage fees and still would not implant. I ended up being forced to destroy the embryos. The staff was equally as rude and treats patients like liabilities. Look it is bad enough that we are going through difficulties getting pregnant, but they had no compassion at all. Well, fast forward to months later and a different clinic with much better reviews. I saw a better doctor who said my egg count was excellent. We got pregnant on the FIRST ATTEMPT. I am now looking at my little one. Also, be forewarned that this clinic does NOT work on weekends, not even for monitoring. Go at your own risk.

My reprieve from frustration, disappointment and feeling like a number concluded when I made my first phone call to the Yale Fertility Center of Westport. Christine communicated to me from the get go that I would receive a more personal touch and proved that at my first appointment. Perhaps even earlier that that when I think back. You see my appointment was made for the following week, yet I received a phone call from Dr. Seifer on a Saturday afternoon. He called to introduce himself and ask questions for our upcoming appointment in preparation of my complicated history. Dr. Seifer has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is thorough when explaining the process, procedures and expected outcomes. He has a sweet demeanor and is the upmost professional. Patricia O'Neill, Nurse Practioner is a dream come true. She is detail oriented and is understanding of how overwhelming the process can be. She stands by her words when she says she is always available to answer questions and gets the process moving. The office staff and nursing staff was just as amazing - from getting insurance information completed and approved to having blood work done without the feel of the needle! As a RN, I know how important it is to have good, quality care. Regardless of if we become pregnant or not, it doesn't matter. What matters to me is that the person I choose to take care of me makes me feel like they care. And that, that is exactly how I felt when I got off the phone with Dr. Seifer that Saturday afternoon. Happily, I continued to feel that way every time I interact with the staff in the comfort of the Westport office.
