We got married in Maui and flew Richwell out as our photographer. Richwell had already shot my wife several times as a photographer for RX Smartgear. We knew Richwell is the man and his skills behind the lens are amazing. We had no idea he was going to save our entire wedding. We flew from Madrid, Spain to San Francisco and were home for less than 8 hours before taking off again for our wedding. We landed a few days prior to the scheduled ceremony. WE WERE WRECKED. Our body clocks were all out of whack. We had planned an impromptu wedding on our favorite beach with a small group of about 30 family and friends in attendance. With all destination weddings, the stuff leading up to the big day can be a little overwhelming. Family arriving. People pulling you in all directions. Checking on catering, music, etc. Two days on the island of relaxation and my wife was STRESSED OUT! She literally told Richwell she wanted to skip the ceremony and do just the dinner (we had gotten married at the courthouse several months prior). She was done with it. He arranged where everyone was to stand and basically set us up on the beach in the perfect location for his photographs. Our wedding turned out AMAZING. Looking for a FANTASTIC, FRIENDLY, FUNNY photographer? I just hit you with the TRIPLE 'F's! I have to say this, that I may seem like a stalker but I'm totally not. It's just the way Richwell has taken pictures for the past few years that I have been following him since myspace, yes myspace. I met Richwell at CrossFit Chula Vista and always thought he took amazing photos of the athletes, bodybuilders, etc. so I started following his work on Instagram. When I found out he was coming to Oahu for work, I let him talk me into taking some laid back beachy photos and I absolutely love them! We met Richwell when we attended a friend's wedding last year and had so much fun with him. He lit up the atmosphere and made their wedding MORE enjoyable. I originally met Richwell in 2006 when he did my graduation photo shoot for my undergrad. While at his office, I can recall browsing through his wedding collection and I was AMAZED. Right then and there, I said to him "Richwell, when my time comes, you will be my wedding photographer". The week after I was engaged, I called Richwell right away and requested a price list. I first saw pics of weddings from Richwell Correa on Facebook a few years back and as soon as I saw them I knew that he had to be our photographer for our wedding. I haven't even proposed to my then gf, but I was already contacting Richwell asking him questions that you'd typically ask when looking for a wedding photographer. From he very first conversation we had, Richwell was extremely polite and very knowledgeable in his expertise. I called him 6 months after our initial conversation, right after I proposed to my gf, and he still remembered our initial conversation! That proved that he was very in tune with his clients and actually cares about providing the best service possible. We set up a time and date to meet and discuss in greater detail what we were expecting from our photographs and to view more of Richwell's work. On the way to our meeting at a coffee shop in Mission Valley, he even called to make sure we brought jackets since the only available seating was on the patio and it was a bit cold. Another example that shows how he cares for his clients. My fiance and I were blown away with his customer service, his attentiveness, and his passion from that meeting and we booked him immediately. We selected a package that includes an engagement photo shoot and this is a great way for both parties to get a good feel for working together and helps immensely on the wedding day. Richwell even attended our wedding rehearsal at the Church to get a good idea on where he'll set up for the best photo opps on the actual wedding day. The actual wedding day was fantastic! He and his team showed up on time to take pics of my beautiful bride as she was getting ready. He was all business on the wedding day and from the teaser pics I've seen, he didn't miss a single moment. We were on a bit of a time crunch on the day of the wedding and he made sure we were on schedule and still had time to take pics of everyone at our wedding. He even suggested that we have each table come up to us, instead of the traditional way where the bride and groom walks up to every table, for pics. Richwell and his team even stayed after the wedding ended to take pics of the bridal party, since we didn't have time between the ceremony and the reception. My wife and I wanted pictures at this gorgeous staircase that we forgot to do, luckily I was able to catch Richwell and his team just as they packed up all their gear. I wasn't even the bride in a recent wedding that Richwell photographed but was instead a bridesmaid and was blown away by Richwell and his whole team; they were INCREDIBLE! I was referred to Richwell Correa Photography by a friend. Just checking out his work on his website, I knew that his style of photography was the style and my husband and I wanted for our wedding. It was easy to work with him during our engagement shoot. He made us feel at ease and never put us in uncomfortable poses. He was always thinking of the next shot, location and how he wanted it to look through his camera lens. We absolutely loved our engagement photos and used some of them on our wedding website and reception. When it came to the wedding day, the weather was overcast and he suggested we take pictures at the church instead of the original location I had in mind. This worked out perfectly.
