Getting old is not for wimps lol;). New things popping up all the time! I decided to stop in to 1st Place Sports to check out their walking shoes. Kelly escorted me upstairs where they had a huge selection. I told her I was recommended to try Hoka's by several friends. First, I stepped on a machine to scan my feet to see what would work best for me. She suggested the Hoka Clifton 10 with inserts. I tried on a few different styles and selected my favorite (what felt best when walking). I purchased two pair of Hoka's and inserts that I can switch between the two pair of shoes. I walked out in my new shoes and by the next morning my feet pain was gone! After dealing with it for nearly three weeks I was so relieved! And grateful to Kelly for her help and excellent customer service! I'll be back for another pair soon when new colors are released. Since now I'm starting over with my walking shoe collection.

The first didn't need an insole. She listened to my questions about all 3 pair. Now time will tell if I made the right choice I bought a pair of Hoka with a medium insert. So we stopped in and Scott did an amazing job explaining things and showing me what I needed for my feet. It is expensive but oh so worth it. These will last me for years, so for the price and I can not do spine surgery because of proper footwear and physical therapy teaching proper exercise and sleep techniques. I am a happy camper!!

However, I did find an insane amount of deluxe edition books that I love at the back of the store, near all their stationery products. As the bibliophile that I am, I couldn't pass up the opportunity and bought a few copies that will keep me entertained while freezing at the beach. Besides that, I also got some great deals on snacks and a few other items for the family. So at the end of the day, regardless of how odd it was not to find a single women's sweatshirt, I still got some great deals on other stuff.

I tried them on, they were slingbacks, they had a velcro strap instead of a buckle, and they had a heel. They were also priced at $24.99, which was a good price. My aunt and I visited the Jacksonville Seashells & Souvenirs store, and unfortunately, we felt racially profiled during our visit. We had been in the store for less than five minutes, simply browsing, when an employee approached us and asked if we were finding everything okay. After that, he continued to follow us down the aisles and stared at us in a way that made us feel very uncomfortable. We no longer felt comfortable making a purchase so we decided to leave but as we were leaving the store, the employee stopped us and requested to check our purses. He then threatened to call his manager and the police if we did not comply. What made the situation even more upsetting was that there were several other customers in the store, and none of them were approached, followed, or asked to have their belongings checked. The entire experience was embarrassing, humiliating, and left us feeling singled out. The employee claimed that purse checks are always required, but based on what we observed, that policy did not appear to be applied equally to all customers. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this store. No customer should feel targeted or accused of wrongdoing simply while shopping!!!
