She was showing me hats that didn't fit my wants or needs. After she handed me several hats that did not nearly fit my head, I let her know they didn't fit. She uttered "what a weirdo" several times under her breath. I stayed with her for a bit thinking she was having a health issue. As I left she flipped me off through the window. I am still shocked. I'm not sure if any additional sizes are in the back. With women's, men's, and kids shoes, the whole family can shop here. I bought a pair of Roxy brand platform sneakers that were on sale. When I got to the register, the associate asked if I wanted another pair since clearance shoes were buy one get one half off. This is a great deal but with a line behind me, I opted to buy my shoes and leave. If I'd known about the deal earlier, I would've shopped around for a second pair. Famous Footwear gets crowded. I wish the store had more spots to sit down and try on shoes as well as more room to walk around and try them out. The aisles are narrow, which is a concern if you're trying to socially distance. I saw hand sanitizer, associates wearing masks, the registers are behind plexiglass, and an announcement over the PA reminded customers to wear masks. Despite the physical layout of the store, which was obviously built pre-2020, I feel like Famous Footwear is combating COVID the best they can.

Okay, now about the store. I was greeted upon entering which many stores don't do. The store was well stocked and neatly kept. A salesperson came over to ask if I needed any assistance which I did not at the time. My purchase went smoothly and the cashier explained their reward system of earning points with every purchase. It was quick and and easy to sign up. I was pleasantly surprised to find that one pair of shoes had an additional discount. Double win!!

If you're looking for deals I find, NB to be hit or miss... lately it's been hit though with some of the sales on the back wall. I picked up a few pairs recent and two were on the back wall so they were an additional 30% off which was great. I also grabbed a pair of 2002Rx's in navy which isn't always easy to find so they were $150 with no sales... which is expected. I have had the tanger app forever and there are always coupons and such so I pulled it up and there was a weekend promotion going on and it was the last day. I tried to use it and instead of trying any of them, the manager just said that only the lesser one worked and it wouldn't work on clearance... which is expected. I asked why the lesser coupon would work but not the larger one and he said New Balance doesn't really like to participate in the tanger deals because they're more of an elevate brand and don't like to be associated with coupons. Last I checked, we were at a "factory store" in an outlet mall so discounts is the name of the game here. I wasn't looking for anything extra, I just want to make sure that if there is a discount available, I'd rather not pay extra or to be made like I'm a cheapo for trying to do so. I've never understood that with retail workers in a corporate store... like, the money isn't going into your pocket, why wouldn't you try to get the customer a better deal? Aside from that interaction at the register, the employees were very helpful and the store is super clean and organized. I'm sure I'm sure I'll be back, but I can find great deals online too.

Called this store and they said they had what I was looking for…read more Now that I am here they say they don't carry that item and they can't order it either. I like the fit, not so much the quality and much less the customer service. I was recently at the store in Raleigh and I could see a lot better inventory than the Outlet and the employee at the outlet said they can't compete with the stores and they carry only the "lemons" however the prices aren't any lower at this place to make me go back.
