Came here on a Friday evening and not too crowded. Good selection of stores and you can find some good deals. Bought stuff at Old Navy, Banana Republic, J. Crew, and Kate Spade. One staff at KS said item was 70% off plus 15% off, but when I went to pay, other staff said it was only 70% off. NBD, but staff should be on the same page so you don't feel deceived. read more

Popped into the rack room shoes and was shocked how bad the customer service was. At this point in life my bar is extremely low for help in a store but somehow the employees working on April 16th were beyond rude and unprofessional. The store was a total messed which honestly wouldn't have bothered me if I weren't treated horribly. Worst customer service experience of all time... not even being dramatic. Hope the other stores here aren't as bad. read more

I remember when Tanger first arrived to North Charleston and I've been hooked ever since. They have added new shops and they do a wonderful job of keeping the area clean. The center is well lit at night and the music playing over the speakers provides a nice ambiance. During the holidays there is a gorgeous tree in the center that makes the space feel so magical. I love coming here with the family and shopping around while enjoying a treat from Starbucks or one of the food trucks! The selection is great with the many brands and the employees are attentive. They even have brands of all different price ranges so anyone can shop and find something worth it and affordable. read more

Everything has been said by other reviewers about this place. Your favorite store is here for sure. I like the layout and there is always plenty of parking. I have been to a couple of Tanger Outlets in North Carolina but this one is far better, sorry NC Malls are dying in America but this has a lot of traffic mainly because of the "outlet" component that makes you believe you are getting a bargain directly from the manufacturer but to be honest prices are what you would expect to pay elsewhere. It is more for the convenience of finding your favorite brands and some carry what you like and others not so much. Good experience and so far it is my place to go when in the market for clothing or shoes. Just walked in to the New Balance store, nope they don't have what I am looking for because the style I am looking for is "hot stuff" and if they were to sell it here it would be unfair to retailers. Tanger Outlet Center has stepped up its game. In the years since my last review, Vera Bradley, Sperry, Tori Burch, Palmetto Moon, Columbia Sportswear, North Face, and other retailers have made Tanger home. It's still the place for athletic clothes, since Nike, Adidas, New Balance, and Under Armour are here. You'll find classic clothing stores like Gap, J.Crew, Ralph Lauren, and Old Navy, too. The once-empty food court is gone, replaced with a Calvin Klein outlet. However, there's outdoor seating, comfy couches, and you can get a snack from several carts/stands, Starbucks, or River Street Sweets candy. The restaurants in this area are excellent, so the mall doesn't need a food court. During COVID, each store requires masks and has a sign on the door with how many shoppers are allowed inside. For some stores, the door is locked when that many shoppers are inside, or a worker lets people in and out. If you wait outside, stickers are on the pavement six feet apart to let you know where to safely stand. Tanger is is close to the airport and an outdoor, open-air mall, so it's loud when planes fly over. Still, the retailer selection and proximity to the interstate make it my go-to shopping center. read more

I visited Charleston with my sister and we decided to swing by the outlets. Friday late afternoon was relatively quiet but surprisingly most of the stores were open. We stopped by Coach to pick up a lovely pastel purple cross body (the staff there was polite and helpful), and Rack Room Shoes for a pair of comfy sneakers. I enjoy Tanger outlets all over the country & belong to their savings club. I was very disappointed that Merrill shoes closed at 7pm & Talbots at 8pm vs. the 9pm closing observed by other stores. Those closing early should notify by signage or the website so shoppers don't miss out like I did. Saks Fifth avenue was quite large but only 2 staffers who were less than friendly. Still found some deals in the clearance. Ann Taylor loft had nice sales people & Steve Madden shoes. read more

Not gonna lie, the store selection wasn't the best, but I'm nit sure that's anyone's fault per say. Check out the list of stores online before you go and you'll be good. The best part was the game store. The girls were friendly and the selection was eclectic while still being up to date. I wish I had space traveling to pick out a few figures since their selection was AMAZING!!! In the meantime they had a Pokémon scarlet/violet edition switch I'd been looking for. So hype! read more

My family frequents outlet malls because we travel a lot, and we were disappointed with this one. Lots of stores closed long before the general mall hours ended, so extensive research is required to make sure you stop by at a time when stores/restaurants you want to visit are open. Traffic pattern of the shopping center in general was awful - so confusing. Walmart nearby was incredibly sketchy as well. We were excited to come here but didn't end up buying anything and ended up going to the Savannah mall the next day instead which was a lot better. read more

They have started doing small business vendors on the weekends and it's so nice! Tables of jewelry, cupcakes, and other local creations. I like the Nike, Levi's, AE, and Banana Republic stores here. It does get hectic on the weekends and evenings so expect that. read more

Like most Tanger outlets, this has your standard choices and very nice clean place to rummage through to find some sales at your fav store. I spent my time in Tommy Hilfiger looking for some sailing gear, deals on jeans or whatever was on sale and made out like a bandit! Got a great lightweight Tommy jacket, some super what I call the vintage boat shoes in green blue yellow, a polo style shirt and long sleeve shirt and, jeans and socks for under $200. I could easily look like a Tommy billboard ad, but luckily some was for my son , but I found exactly what I was looking for. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the sales were mostly 40 and some 50% off deals I couldn't pass. Will hit Nike and Polo next visit but also passed 2 other Tangers on the way here as I travel quite a bit- so will try to not stop at all of them- but have to say this one the timing was great for good sales and just what I wanted. Stop by and find yourself some bargains. Very happy with Tommy and their team and thanks for getting me decked for my sailing trip! Highly recommend. read more

We have been to these in Rehobeth, OCM, Pittsburgh, etc, so coming right after Christmas it would be interesting to see how well they would be stocked after the holiday rush. There were several things I wanted to get - or felt like I wanted to find so we went. Nike, Polo, adidas, H&M, etc all are locates here- as well as a full restaurant Starbucks as well which was huge at the moment we found it needing a pick me up. Confessions of a Shop-A-Holic... If there is a mall, trust me I will find it, especially while traveling. I have been to malls and outlets in multiple states (NY, NJ, CT, PA, NC, RI, TX, VA, FL, MD, SC) even while in Puerto Rico. I think it is fair to say I've seen my fair share of malls in multiple states. This particular outlet has the basics but other then that it's very blasé. Admit-tingly this was my first visit to this location so I can not attest to the following being a normal occurrence but there was a foul odor. It was throughout the whole mall and everyone carried on as if it was normal. It smelled like stagnant water, poor sewage drainage, old greens or a whole lot of manure base fertilizer. Giving the date on the calendar is late December, I would think it's one of the formers as oppose to the latter. Overall as a pro or a novice @ Retail Therapy you will be able to find somethings here at good prices especially if you go while they are having Holiday sales. Going through the shops doesn't mean you'll find what you need in the first store but, the shop employees were recommending where to go for what we needed. Amazing. They didn't have what we were looking for and a few sales associates recommended other stores. This was a great weekend to shop, they all had sale signs in the windows! I grew up in the area and still have family here. Every time I make the return trip we visit this outlet mall, which is really just a mall. The other local area malls have pretty much been replaced by Tanger. This is a pretty outdoor mall and if you've been to other Tanger Outlets, you will feel right at home. There are definitely bargains to be had. And when you're tired of shopping go visit some of the nearby restaurants, which have a mix of local and chains. If you're in Charleston and are looking to fill a day or a few hours, come visit Tanger--just make sure you have room in your suitcase to take your haul home. read more

I always stop by this outlet store when I am in town. Why? Because they offer name brand clothes for a fraction of the price! Even though I usually stop by to get my steps in and just look around, I end up leaving with a great deal on shoes and clothes I don't quite need. Think my wife enjoys shopping here more than I do as we made two visits in one day. Prices seem to be good on professional business attire at Banana Republic as something's were up to 80% off so that's really good for clothes shopping. The As Seen On TV was more gimmicky and higher pricesd than I expected. Nothing I really wanted but purchased some items for my parents who kind gave everything they need except for AC towels or glasses for driving at night. The store I would really like to check more was the sun glasses spot. Ray Bans were clearly at a big discount but not by too much for me to pull the trigger. But overall a pleasant shopping experience mid morning before the crowds. Parking is free and plentiful in the morning. read more

I really enjoy this shopping outlet. There are a lot of different stores with deals to be had! If you come here during the holidays it is jam-packed full of people. I tried coming here to find a nice New Years outfit but I couldn't find anything that suited me. To me, it is a little hit or miss because sometimes I find a bunch of items I want, and sometimes I walk out with nothing. Tanger is a great discount outlet mall right in the middle of North Charleston. Over the years it's added a ton of different shops. When the weather is gorgeous it's easy to spend a full afternoon here. I'm a huge fan of a lot of the shops here but I always go to the Old Navy each visit. Took my daughter and her friends to the outlets for them to buy a matching outfit for spirit week at school. They liked Old Navy and Claire's and of course starbucks. I'm only giving this review 3 starts because of the food court or lack there of. We walked in to the food court and the only dining option was subway, looked like all the others closed down. very disappointing. you do have plenty of restaurants outside of the outlets but it is nice to have the convenience to eat and continue shopping. read more

My sister-in-law and I came to the Tanger Outlets on a Friday morning earlier this month to buy an all new work wardrobe for her. We had an excellent experience here! Not only is this outlet plaza very pretty and well maintained but the weather was stunning - sunny and around 70 degrees. We started at Shopper Services to collect our coupon books. The associate was very friendly and helpful. Afterwards, we went to a number of stores - Banana Republic Factory, Ann Taylor Factory, Off 5th, American Eagle, Starbucks, Cole Haan, Loft, J Crew Factory, Francesca's, and White House Black Market - and accomplished our primary goals of finding my SIL a new wardrobe. read more
