We called CC Garage Doors, based largely on the positive experience when they replaced the spring on our left-hand garage door several years ago. In that case, the new spring broke less than a year after being installed. We called CC, they came out, and the installer said "That shouldn't have happened." He immediately replaced the spring (which involved disassembling the whole thing to replace the broken coil spring), told us "no charge, it shouldn't have happened," and left. This time, the same guy (I didn't get his name) showed up at the promised time, and pointed out that one of the cables had jumped off its pulley. The door was slightly sprung due to being dented on the bottom rail. He replaced the burnt-out motor, re-aligned the supporting framework, and added supporting rails on the bottom and top of the door. Took a couple of hours, but it's running like a top, and we're expecting a long, problem-free life. And should a problem arise, we're confident that they'll fix it and "make it right."

Cory contacted me right away and was able to replace the wires and a few roller wheels on my garage door. He was great at communicating through the scheduling process replying immediately. On the day of the repair, he was great at explaining to me what he was doing and why. He inspected other areas of the door knowing safety being a concern for me. I would highly recommend him for speed of work, his price and his professionalism. He is great at what he does!

They didn't try to sell me anything extra and we're polite and on time. I have used several Garage Door companies in SLO county in the past and B&B has earned the top spot for me. I will definitely use their services again.

I called and we had a nice conversation and he asked for me to text him some more details about what I need done, so I responded with the pictures and details that he asked for and we set up. He gave me a fair quote, and we set up a time. I felt very happy so far as far as the communication. I did warn him (in another text right after that, that I unfortunately due to my healing broken ankle and that some things had piled up so we may need to move a few things in the garage In order to get to the area to install the garage door motor that I already had. I even offered to help. Unfortunately, what happened after this was a crash & burn experience. Because of triple fracturing my ankle a week after I bought a house and i'm losing my house which is why I'm fixing the garage door because I need to fix everything up to sell it, so needless to say life has been very stressful for the last 2 years and adding more and pleasantness and stress to my life was not ideal, . I'm not sleeping well at all, because I'm in a lot of pain and rolling over in bed waking up and it takes me hours sometimes to go back to sleep So when Tony from B&B garage doors showed up an hour early without clearing it with me first, I had to answer the door with just a blanket wrapped around me, half asleep. He also rang the doorbell, and literally with less than a minute of waiting, he started knocking and didn't stop.He just kept knocking continuously, the way someone does when there's an emergency, so I answered the door in kind of a panic and stressed. Most people would ring the doorbell, wait a minute and then knock 2-4 knocks and then wait another minute, . When I opened the door with a blanket wrapped around me, he didn't even apologize. He just said "well, I called you and texted you" in a defensive way! That doesn't justify coming an hour early, especially when you didn't confirm with the customer that you're coming early and making sure that's okay. Then, he was gruff and crabby about having to move things around in the garage, when I had already messaged Casey about that, but apparently he did not communicate that to the person (Tony) that he sent over to hook up the garage door motor. Then he was kind of gruff and crabby about other things, played music on his phone while he was in the garage without asking, it was already awkward off to an awkward start. But it got worse..although he mentioned that he might need to leave and come back, When you live alone and you've been through a traumatic injury and you have limited mobility and you own a 3 acre property, you appreciate people giving you the courtesy and respect of letting you know when they are leaving and coming back onto your property and he never did that which was creepy too and felt unprofessional. At one point I went out to the garage to do some laundry and he was gone and returned later without letting me know he was back. Then, he hooked up the toggle switch linked to the garage door opener crooked, and when I pointed it out, he just shrugged and said, oh well...and left! Plus when I told him where I wanted to have him plug in the power cord plugged in for the garage door he didn't pay attention. I asked him "Do you want me to show you where?" And pointed at the area, that was only about 10 feet away from where he was standing but he wouldn't even look over. And he said, no, it's fine.... And then he plugged it in the wrong place. Then when I asked him to plug it in where I had actually asked him to plug it in, he said "we're not even really supposed to do that" ‍. And then did a really sloppy job. I had had to hire a manyman to not only re-hang the toggle switch straight and reroute the power cord in a not sloppy way. But then when I tried to pay, he said, I don't have service here and I said, well why don't you link to my Wi-Fi? And he refused to do that and left with just overall bad vibes from beginning to end as far as my experience and did subpar work. I immediately texted Casey as soon as Tony left and I said "please call me when you have a few minutes.I am extremely unhappy", and I never heard anything back from him. Now, 10 days later, I received a bill in the mail. I gave him a chance to remedy the situation and he never responded. And now I had to spend more than I spent getting the motor installed, because I had to hire someone to redo some of the shoddy work of the person he sent over to do it, but he never followed up to find out why I was upset. I'm going to pay it but I will never use them again, and definitely am going to tell people about my bad experience. Bad news travels fast in this area, and other than Casey initially communicating well and being kind on the phone during our initial conversation, the rest of this was an extremely bad experience. VERY unprofessional. See screenshots and pictures attached. ‍

They were responsive. Timely…read more The job was to replace the glass at top of garage door only in one panel. When finished the tech l, Landon didn't offer to show me the work and I had to say well let me see how it looks. I feel like he knew I was not going to be happy with it. Unfortunately the replacement miter cut window frame was not measured long enough so there was a 1/4" gap at corner. And the plastic frame pieces were not pushed in smoothly. In the center there were 2 shoved in areas and wrinkles. But it was just the huge gaping corners that shocked me. Clearly not cut long enough I'm used to working with contractors on home projects and I just tried to politely ask why he would do an install like this. And we recently had all new vinyl windows installed which is pretty much the same method where they cut the vinyl to miter and fit the corners of windows to seal it up, which is a similar process. Anyway I do feel that I understand how it was done . Just not why it was done so sloppy for lack of a better word. In future I would use this company again if a different tech was sent out. If I hadn't said anything I would have been upset with myself for not speaking up and asking why it looked so bad. Thankfully it's on the inside but I still expect it to look good inside or out. But thankfully the outside of window is good. I don't think the outside frame was popped out like the inside had to be. Anyway it was unfortunate. In response to manager comment: To correct your statement. !!!! Landon did not use the existing old that were perfectly mitered window frame clips that hold glass in. He showed me a long piece of stock and said he cut new ones because he destroyed the existing when he pried them off the window. That's where the problem comes from. He cited new pieces too short leaving huge 1/4" gaps at corners looking really sloppy and unprofessional !! He left the top piece old but added new badly cut short pieces on bottom and sides. They were cut too quickly without properly measuring and miter corners did not come close.
