Anyone coming to lake Chelan must stop at Radiance wineries tasting room in downtown Manson. It was over 100 degrees today and they just started doing their new "Froze", a refreshing iced slushie wine drink that sure hit the spot on a hot day, had to do a wine tasting also and I've got to say, "one of the best overall wineries in the Chelan valley", all their wines are excellent, 5 stars here!

Went to the tasting room over the summer and then stopped by their downtown location this past weekend.

We did end up splitting a Cesar salad for food and it was completely average, don't remember it well. I guess that's a good thing since it was exactly what I expected. The wine tasting comes in a tower so you can drink at your own pace, which is great! This allowed us to drink at our own speeds and we were a little tired of hearing about wine after many other stops, so it was great to have an independent experience. It's lovely here! Perfect spot for sunset. We barely interacted with our server since we were the only outdoor table, but that was fine.

Which would be fine, except their outdoor seating is extremely dirty and due to the amount of trees around, covered in pollen. So it almost felt like second class or a punishment. I slapped the chair cushion and it was like it had never been dusted before. Not that I expect the outdoor seating to be clean at all times, I would expect a higher end place like this that features wine on their menu to make an effort to keep things tidy for all guests. The food itself, was actually pretty good. The deep fried artichoke seriously missed the mark in seasoning and presentation (maybe have the sauce on the side to dip?) but the steak and short ribs were amazingly tasty. Great flavors. We also did a wine flight and the wines were very good as well. One of the glasses still had lipstick on it unfortunately. A couple of the glasses looked rushed to clean. It was replaced and all was well. But still.. attention to details here seems to be an issue. If you come here, make a reservation. Sit inside. Might have a better experience. Get the short ribs or steak and some wine and it will be a lovely experience.

Wait, what? I haven't written a review yet this year? Hahah…read more This place is our "go to" winery! We love Mark, Tami and Lexi. Not to mention the other great workers. The wines are really good. My husband calls the Merlot a bottle of Yum Yum! We really like the different gathering options: two different fire place / pit areas outside, a cozy couch inside with other tables and seating for two or bigger gatherings. They offer live music every Thursday, summer, winter, spring and fall. It's a great place to bring friends and family or meet a date. This place is it! Give out a try!

Although on their website it clearly says you can bring your own food for your picnic and they can provide the wine. Also, for the picnic you're seated on a table. We got our mats with us just in case because we weren't told what the set up would be like... The gentleman was lovely and polite and even jokingly said something along the lines of them not being the greatest with service, which was unfortunately spot on (wise man - he knows their area of weakness). Wines were poured very late, and on many occasions the wrong bottle was brought out. We felt overlooked and unwelcomed. Cute place with nice wines and beautiful scenery. The Pinot Gris is really nice and refreshing. Wine tasting flight was only 15 dollars and waived with a bottle. Great deal. They definitely need to work on improving their service if they would like to run their business more successfully... Smiling and kindness goes a long way folks!! ;) ---------- In response to your personal and public message Tami, I don't check my emails on a Saturday. Nonetheless, I appreciate you taking the time to reach out and sharing your perspective. My intention in leaving a review was not to be unfair or to criticize you personally, but simply to share how the experience felt from our side. Our party was in fact very happy with the table you had given us. We were confused among ourselves whether we were going to be given a table or an area on the grass. The wording on the website about "enjoying a picnic" simply left us uncertain whether to expect a table or a grass area. We even brought our mats just in case. Perhaps you can clarify that this will be in a seated area. *We were disappointed by your poor attitude, and slow service by other staff. Not our problem if you were working alone at the time that we arrived...Again, I don't know who the gentleman we saw was but I am simply sharing our experience. While I understand that our arrival (though we were only 10 minutes late) and indecision about wine tasting may have added to the busyness of the day, from our perspective the service felt rushed and interactions came across as curt. A better attitude/response on your end would have been to ask if there was anything you could do to help or to clarify. You just walked off with an unwelcoming expression on your face. Thank your for your reply and I wish you all the best with your business.

Chelan ridge Winery checked all those, so off we went. When we got there we got a slight disappointment in that the pizza oven was not in operation on a Wednesday. However, our server suggested that we try the charcuterie board or the salad. We tried both, and they were both delicious. What really impressed us was the wines, and the details that were added to it. We learned a lot about the winery and the wines all while enjoying sweeping views of Lake Chelan. When the resident dogs arrived our dogs found new best friends. I think that really was the icing on the cake. So much so that we returned the next day to try the pizzas. The wood fired pizzas were great. They are not the cheapest, but all the ingredients were top notch. We were with a group of people, and nobody expressed any complaints.

While calling out the bingo letters, the owner remarked, "G and B - you know, as in Girl and Boy. The only two sexes!" This comment was completely out of the blue and uncalled for. The wine and ambiance are great, but we will not be back. For a business that prides themselves on being welcome to everyone, we would not have expected someone's outdated and inaccurate beliefs to be preached to us during our stay. Please Note: This review is in response to the owner and his demeanor. The rest of the staff was friendly and very kind.

We really enjoy learning and experiencing wines from all over the world. We visited 7 different wineries annd enjoyed many of them but have to say, this one is our favorite. First, the greeting and welcome were wonderful. Andrea was lovely. My favorite thing to do is ask a lot of questions about wine and their process. She answered every question and was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. You can tell it's a great place to work. Second, the wine. They specialize in Rhône varietals and what really makes them stand out is their use of concrete in the wine making process. Their Grenache Blanc and concrete Syrah are outstanding! All of their wines are beautiful. We highly recommend them and will definitely be back.

The Grenache was by far my favorite - it was perfectly balanced with a smooth palate. A very close second was the Viognier. I knew after my first two tastings I had found my new favorite spot and I cannot wait to come back next time we're in town and take advantage of the members patio. If you're looking for a fantastic winery in the area, do not pass this place up. Highly recommend!
