After a quick Google search, I was lucky enough to find a spot open that week with Tieko Massage. Upon arriving, Tieko was very welcoming and I instantly felt relaxed. I had reserved a 90 minute deep tissue massage with a cupping add-on and let me tell you, once I was on the warm massage table, I was transported to another world. The experience started with warm mitts for hands, feet, and a warm cushion for under my neck. This little detail is something often missing with most massages or considered an add-on so it was a pleasant surprise that helped me to relax more quickly. I have a desk job so I keep a lot of tension in my back and neck area so most of the massage and cupping was focused on those areas, but not so much that the other body areas were neglected. She was intuitive and attentive to pressure - noticing where my body needed more attention which allowed me to decompress and not continually guide her in the massage. The overall experience was better than I had even hoped for. I bought this product for my husband to see if it would bring him any relief from severe, chronic pain in his hands and wrists. He has multiple severe issues from years of repetitive motion and injuries as a former boxer--including bone-on-bone friction, a detached tendon, and arthritis. He is at the point where he actually needs surgery. We weren't sure what to expect, but this ointment has been incredible. Despite the severity of his injuries, it provides real, noticeable relief. He gladly uses it every single evening now. It has made such a difference that he will definitely continue using it as part of his recovery after he finally gets his surgery. I was able to get in the following Saturday since my boyfriend spoke to Kathleen and told her it was my birthday. Body brushing is a method of exfoliating and the massage followed. The place smelled wonderful and add calming music and a peaceful setting, I don't know how I was able to stay awake! The massage was perfect and I picked lavender as my scent for aromatherapy. She placed hot towels on my neck, back, and knees as part of the massage, I was in heaven. We got a deal through cape cod daily for 50% off which is encouraging when trying a new place, and she offers great package deals which gives you a discount for your next sessions. I am definitely purchasing 4 more sessions for $260 which saves me about $35 per session. She also makes her own soaps and other products all natural and she gave me a free soup bar that smelled delicious and so pretty.
