After a quick Google search, I was lucky enough to find a spot open that week with Tieko Massage. Upon arriving, Tieko was very welcoming and I instantly felt relaxed. I had reserved a 90 minute deep tissue massage with a cupping add-on and let me tell you, once I was on the warm massage table, I was transported to another world. The experience started with warm mitts for hands, feet, and a warm cushion for under my neck. This little detail is something often missing with most massages or considered an add-on so it was a pleasant surprise that helped me to relax more quickly. I have a desk job so I keep a lot of tension in my back and neck area so most of the massage and cupping was focused on those areas, but not so much that the other body areas were neglected. She was intuitive and attentive to pressure - noticing where my body needed more attention which allowed me to decompress and not continually guide her in the massage. I love the fact that there were no elbows involved...if you've had a standard massage at different places then you know what I mean. The setting is a house turned into a commercial entity. When I opened the front door I was immediately drawn into a comfortable setting. The massage room itself is setup for maximum comfort for the overall body - including a fireplace. The prices are reasonable. If you need to be refreshed and have a different massage experience this is the place to go. I already scheduled my next appointment for the "ULTIMATE" session which includes Reiki with crystals as well as the massage. Definitely a much different experience than I have had in the past. There is also a large yard behind the building where I can almost picture a peaceful meditation area being created.
