I have tried sending this review on google but keeps disappearing, My family had been sending our child to Radiant, and while I initially hoped for a positive experience, I have become increasingly concerned about the Director/ Management, and overall environment. There is a clear pattern of favoritism where certain students and staff are treated preferentially, while others are spoken about negatively and treated very unfairly. This behavior creates a divisive and uncomfortable atmosphere that feels more like high school drama than professional Childcare. More importantly, violent behavior (Biting, Hitting, Kicking, Spitting, Throwing things, tipping shelf's, throwing chairs, destroying the classroom, and much more)-parents ask your child if someone in there class is not nice!!!!) (better yet arrive unexpectedly to the class and see for yourself!!!! ) this behavior from certain students poses a real risk to the safety of both children and staff. Despite raising these safety concerns multiple times and requesting that certain students be kept apart to protect everyone, management has failed to take appropriate action. The Director/management's immature and unprofessional behavior only adds to a tense atmosphere that feels more like high school drama than a safe, nurturing environment. It's deeply frustrating and alarming that those entrusted with caring for children behave in a way that undermines trust and safety. I sincerely hope the school takes these serious issues to heart and works toward creating a safer, more respectful environment for all children and families. Parents, students and Staff deserve better than this chaotic and unfair environment. read more

We are newer to Radiant and have LOVED every minute of our experience here. My child started last March 2025, and his knowledge and education has advanced leaps and bounds. He is writing his name already, on his own. There are a lot of choices for childcare in Maple Grove, but I feel so passionately about the staff that support and pour love and knowledge into my child. My youngest is starting next month and I have no hesitations on sending him based on the support and leadership of the directors and the teachers. The staff are all supportive of my child, and if there are issues with my son, they are direct and collaborative on ways to make things better. We feel in the loop on what goes on day to day, and love the engaging and enriching activities that they spend hours planning. The pre-school classes go on field trips, which are so fun! If I had more children, Radiant would be my first (and only) choice. read more

We have been sending our children to Radiant for over 10 years (we have a large family). Despite us living much closer to other top-rated Montessori schools, we continue to choose Radiant. There are many strong and passionate teachers and staff that treat our children like family. They are direct and solutions-oriented when we run into any issues with our children's behavior or classroom experiences, and always open for feedback. The recent ownership change has equipped them with many new tools and resources for students and families. I would send all my kids through Radiant again and again. read more

I just noticed that my first review is not showing so I thought I'd write another brief one to help out future parents so they can watch out for what we experienced: 1. This school did not protect my child from severe classroom bullying. We saw it happen multiple times in front of a teacher and nothing was done. 2. Then this school excused the bullying behavior by saying my son is the lowest animal on the totem pole and will always be treated like this so there was nothing they could do (a slight paraphrase, but still what was said). 3. The teachers used to make my child put a blanket over his head at nap time so he could not look around the room. Sounds weird in my opinion and it traumatized my son, he still talks about it and is worried about nap time at his new school. 4. I feel that my son was treated in an abusive and unacceptable way & the director's comments to me about my son being the lowest animal were atrocious. read more

It has been a few years since I have wanted to write this, but I haven't because we have tried to calm down and not write this emotionally. This school had lots of good reviews on other platforms and and only one slightly negative yelp review at the time of enrollment and we felt good about sending our child there. The one bad review said it was a fine school as long as you didn't have to deal with the owner. I should note that Annie (director) was very helpful to us until she felt the problem was above her and sent us to the owner. We felt like things were fine for awhile when our child started, but slowly our child was hesitant and even frantic when it was time to go to school. Our child became less verbal and unable to do things that were formerly easy for our child. Our child had no prior problems relating to other children before starting this school, but suddenly seemed to not know how to act around others. We tried to figure out what was wrong through all of the normal paths. We talked to the teachers, tried to observe, talked to our pediatrician, and eventually talked to the director of Radiant, but we couldn't come up with any definitive reason why our child did not want to go and was having these declines. Then, one day we saw it. Our child was being beaten and bullied, this time right in front of us, right in front of the teachers! Instead of telling the other student to stop (who was beating up our child), the teachers told our child to stop (as a student beat and pushed our child). When we talked to the director about this, her response was that she said our child is the weakest animal so it is normal for the other students to find and pick on the child who is weakest. She also told us our child has a medical condition that causes our child to not listen. However, the child exhibited no signs of this condition whatsoever before coming to this school. It took several months away from this terrible environment for us to begin seeing our normal child again. Our child still sometimes has problems sleeping and social anxiety from this horrific childcare experience. It sounds like other parents have had some good experiences there, but if I could go back in time we would have never sent our child here. read more

Our son was at Radiant montessori for 1.5 years. He started at the age of 3, blossomed as a student and was excited to go to school everyday. His teacher changed in September. There wasn't an issue until the time of conferences in October when I saw the teacher snap at our son for an innocent comment. From that point on, I was more vigilant. His nutritional needs were not met on several occasions. I was asked by a few staff members and another parent if I thought that the teacher was being racist towards my son because of the way she was towards him. In December, I came in to drop my son to school late and watched another teacher aggressively grab a child's arm who had just started crying because she had been accidentally bumped into by another child. I had raised concerns to the office on several occasions prior to this. However, my interpretation of the situation was that the change in the lead teacher had negatively affected the staff and students. 3 staff members have left since this teacher had started. She does not have montessori experience and openly said she has no interest in academics or for being a lead teacher. We kept our son there so as to not to make him transition several times in his early years. Unfortunately, we did have to transition him again. A few days ago, my son informed me that the teacher pinched my child, pulled him toward a chair and dropped him into this chair. Our child has been noted by the staff to have always been respectful to his teachers until that day. Even when I'm getting told that he is being treated differently. It's hard for us to cope with what has happened. However, it's important for me to say this since I witnessed a child getting hurt and now it happened to our own. I wish I had paid more attention a few months ago to understand the gravity of having a non-montessori trained teacher in this role. And I also wish I had asked more questions of my son at the end of each day so I could truly understand what was happening. I believe that more could have been done at the top to get the right person in that classroom. I learned that my child has not been the only one forced into this chair. It upsetting to know that this has happened to other children and their peers have witnessed it at such an impressionable age. Please always be selective in the care you chose and when things change make sure to be just as aware. This situation makes me wish that I had stayed at home with my child up until the point in which he is able to accurately describe his day the way he is able to now read more

My children see learning as fun thanks to Radiant Montessori teachers. Radiant not only provides an education, but they nurture the child. My children are better students and people because of their time at Radiant. I will be forever thankful for our experience. read more
