I have attempted to cancel my membership on three separate occasions and the manager Holly Anne and an associate by the name of Angelique have been incredibly unhelpful and rude during the process which should be as simple as an email. Angelique screens calls for the manager Holly Anne. Holly Anne refuses to return calls, emails or process cancellations even though she has received the necessary documents multiple times over a four week span. 0/10 would NOT recommend! read more

great service great friendly people and clean establishment. they use strip wax. i was very sore the day after treatment. Two weeks later, I have quite a few ingrowns. I normally wax myself with hard wax. I feel the technician broke many hairs with her direction and tension of her pulls that caused the irritation and ingrowns. There may be a teaching opportunity here regarding various hair textures and techniques. When in town again, I would not return here because I feel the service caused ingrowns that I wouldn't normally have, had the procedure been executed the correct way. I am treating the area to get my skin "downthere" less looking like a crunch bar and more like silk. read more

The woman working at the front named Ember told me my appointment was no longer available to me because I was 3 minutes late. 3 minutes late and she let me know that the wax person I was booked with was already cleaning up her room because she needed to leave for her doctors appointment. I confirmed that I had a time slot set aside for me and I was confused why it was no longer available for a 3 minute delay. I asked if I could have the time left in my slot and she just kept telling me no. How is being 3 minutes late enough to cancel someone's spot ? Zero kindness, flexibility, or attempt to be reasonable. I believe the woman that was supposed to be giving me the service just wanted to leave for her doctors appointment and did not want to complete her job for the day. read more

Love this place!! I've been coming here for a little over a year and only ever had good experiences. I used to always see Amanda and then Ashley a few times, both of whom were super chill, fun conversationalists (an important component of this type of service), and today Laura was able to sandwich me in between her other appointments after I arrived 13 minutes late for my 15 minute brazilian. (Traffic sucks, don't be like me.) If you get waxed on a relatively consistent basis, I highly recommend joining their loyalty program to save $$! "Friends with benefits." [Surprise, Shar. I didn't get to it that day...but I'm also not getting to it 3-4 weeks or months later, so...yes, you impressed.] Quirky for me to start a review by mentioning another business, but I was (still am) a diehard fan of Studio Urban Wax off Sobo. They just have their act together, it's trouble-free, and there's 1 person there who I think I'd trust ripping hair off any part of my body, because she's handled things so consistently awesome in the past. BUT... new businesses demand exploration, and I saw the average rating here. And it's literally 15 blocks from where I live, and SUW is a bit more of a commute for me. SO...it became time to scout, and I'm very glad I did. Here's what Lunchbox does well: 1) There was no booking in advance, like other places encourage you to do. I literally called them and they asked when I could be down and I told them 30 minutes; they said no problem. 2) Shar (my waxer) was kind, approachable, made me feel very at ease there. She is also...PERSISTENT. Like me, she's a bit of a perfectionist, and when I saw a few "escapees" that had escaped her expertise, she went back. Repeatedly. (And then eventually tweezed them). My point here is, if you aren't satisfied, she isn't either -- and that speaks volumes. 3) They offer more "menu choices" than other well-established waxing places do -- and in fact I saw one that heavily appeals to me. Prices are in line, or cheaper than, various other venues. 4) Receptionist/greeter was cool. 5) They have a sweet mix of music that billows over the speakers. Here's what's "meh" about Lunchbox: 1) ...Personal preference, but I don't think I care for their wax. I'm used to getting a blue, slightly harder wax - that gets the job done the 1st or at most 2nd time through. LB uses a dark-honey colored more liquidy wax -- and unfortunately, my body hair chose to brush it off like a muscle-bound brute on the beach holds off a wimpy weakling throwing punches. I'm not gonna say how many attempts we made before I suggested tweezers, but it was more than 3. And 1 thing I didn't care for -- your mileage may vary: 1) It's...well, at least the day I visited...very, um, perfumed in the lobby area. I actually lightly coughed once, and when that happens, it's too much. I get it, you want to cater to your clientele, and that's mostly women, and (yeah, I'm stereotyping) anyone who comes here to get "serviced" probably enjoys various scents. But it was a bit much for me. I actually was gonna toss the coveted 5th star here...and thinking about those last 2 bits...I just can't do it. Don't get me wrong, the service here is top notch. But if you went to a steakhouse and got top-notch service and ordered filet mignon or tenderloin and got chuck...would you give it the 5th star? You see the analogy. Will I be back? Likely. Could it be better? ...Yeah, for my personal preference, change that brand of wax up and you'll get that 5th star from me. Maybe there are different grades and viscosities of wax for different areas of the body, I don't know -- if that's the case, then I'm gonna say "1 brand doesn't fit all"...but the personnel are great here. :) Bonus: Right next to Carve or Tokyo Joe's for lunch -- yummy. :D read more

I had a full leg wax. The person who did the service put paper down on only half the bed, folded so it was doubled over on the end where my legs were, but none on the top half of the bed where my head was. I asked her to put paper down on the whole bed and she said they were short on supplies because of covid. Ick. Overall the place wasn't very clean, and the wax service itself wasn't very good. She was a nice person, and I know everyone's just trying to get by, but this was not a good experience and I definitely won't be back. read more

I want to start by saying that my waxer was incredibly kind!! She was gentle and talked to me the entire time and I really enjoyed my experience. The salon itself was incredibly clean and inviting. Open minded and safe. Great prices as well. The only reason I give this two stars is because my hair started growing back the very next day and was so itchy and uncomfortable. I've never had a wax do this before and I've had quite a few. I'm not sure what went wrong maybe the hair didn't fully come out of the follicle? but I would have come back if it weren't for the wax itself being super uncomfortable. LunchBOX was amazing! UPDATE...I originally love the place however, my last experience was not that great. My waxer was in a hurry and did exactly what I told her not too with my eyebrows and left wax on my face as she hurried out of the room. She also did not wear gloves during part of my visit. I will be going back, however I will not be using the same waxer. A huge disappointment after I really enjoyed my first visit. I will update again after I try a new waxer. read more

Their phone connection isn't great the multiple times I tried to call and everyone seems to take the reservation differently. One time I called they wanted a deposit over the phone when the second time they only wanted my name and number... both times I was attempting to set up my first visit. The staff are very welcoming and make you feel at ease. This was my first Brazilian and my waxer talked me through it as asked a few questions without lingering. A little more painful than I would have liked, but don't have anything to compare it to. So maybe I just have sensitive skin. There's plenty of parking In the complex and it's close to a lot of Cherry Creek. Not the most convenient place for me but their pricing is competitive, which is a plus. They obv know what they do best and offer those services so you can go in knowing exactly what to expect. Just waxed my lady parts and Amanda is just as great as the reviews made her out to be. She makes good conversation so your not so focused on the pain. It was my first wax in over six months so it felt like it was my first time. It wasn't completely pain free but Amanda has a good pace and puts the right amount of pressure so the sting isn't as intense. Waxing your lady parts is always an awkward encounter but she made me feel comfortable and was really professional. The place itself is so cute, very clean and everyone is friendly. I had my eyebrows waxed here by Taylor a year ago and the experience was great. I just had my full face waxed (I'm a female) and the experience was terrible. I walked in 3 minutes late and Taylor was angry I was late. She was short and rude to me, and said 3 times it takes the full 30 minutes to do the full face, so being late affects their schedule. I told her 3 times I'd never had my full face waxed so wasn't sure how it would react. She then proceeded to apparently take her anger out on waxing my face. It was painful and ruthless. When I told her my jaw was sensitive (b/c I had surgery on it in the past), she said she has to use pressure to get the hair off -- zero compassion. (I now see that instead of trying to be more careful around my jaw, she stopped and didn't even complete waxing that area after I spoke up.) I have minimal facial hair that's blond, there was barely any to begin with and my skin is sensitive, but that didn't seem to matter to Taylor. My entire face was red, inflamed and burning at the end. The appt. was done 8 minutes early, so the full 30 was not needed. If Taylor is that angry, she should cancel the appt. She should not take her anger out on providing service to her clients. I will NEVER go back to this place. Edit: One day later and I now see that Taylor ripped skin off my forehead. read more
